cutting out images from pictures (the easy way)

Im using photoshop to cut img off.By using lasso tools(fast but inaccurate) or pen tools(slow but can be very accurate depends on the user skill XD) Lasso tools- just simply click on starting point of the img you want to cut and start 'tracing' around it,altho its really not reliable sometimes.Pen tools- much more advance tools than lasso,you trace the img manually,i mean you do everything here like using scissor..Or cutter(at least in this case you can start off from any point)you can curve the line by simply clicking from one point to another and keep holding the left mouse button and start dragging to get the desired curve 
most important thing when using pen tool is the Alt button,keep using it to remove the excess line or else your img might end up inaccurate,after the tracing is complete(until it gets to the starting point,you will or not be told to confirm and close the lines)just right click inside the img you trace and choose 'make path' then click ok,thats it.Hmm i cant explain well xD dont kno if gimp or paint.net hav those tools tho.
