Well judging from the name its because its a cross over of Ice and Eyes creating Eyce. You named it as such because the genjutsu is, even though freezing the opponent entirely is focussed on the eyes freezing them over making it so they can't see and also adding to the believeablity of being frozen solid. Although I though you where going to add damage, considering if they where truly iced over the amount of pain coming from their eyes from the sudden cold would be rather immence.

The correct answer was that I'm a comical genius and a master of puns... Yours was okay too though I guess.

And you're right, maybe I should have added damage. I'm sure you can sneak it into the description when you use it in battle though should you want to. Grab the tech... post it here and ask any Q's you may have.

Illusionary Arts: Eyce (Genjutsu: Eyce)
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description: After performing a single handseal, the user traps the opponent inside a genjutsu. With the genjutsu in place, the next step that the opponent takes is met by a sudden flash freeze which emanates from their feet and rises up quickly through their body before settling behind the eyes. The opponent then sees an frosted white veil begin to form over their eyes, giving the impression that his eyes have been covered in ice. With the veil also comes the inability to look in any direction other than forward.
-Cannot be used in successive turns-
-Can only be used four times per battle-
-Must be taught by The Mockingjay-

just the one question, if the opponent stays standing still does this become a dormant genjutsu? or can it only be used on an opponent that's already moving?

It'd be dormant if used on a still opponent. You'd just have to remind them the next time they move that they activated it for you. I'd recommend using it on someone already moving though, it's likely to cause dispute if you leave it laying for a while :p

Well with that then, if I used it on a stantionary opponent and then 2 turns later they went to move, would I need to re activate the technique, or would the genjutsu take affect without me having to do anything? Also with this genjutsu, (as I don't know a whole lot about gens) can I state in the description that the opponent would feel severe pain in his eyes or won't he feel any pain cause the tech has no damage?

The pain thing is entirely down to your description. If you say I place you under this and you feel lots of pain, chances are they'll dispute it. If you detail it... a sudden flash freeze shoots through your body before settling behind your eyes, then, as your eyes begin to freeze over, the illusionary flash freeze forces your brain to react, numbing the nerves around your eyes and causing sharp pains blah blah.

Basically, you want to make the pain seem like a natural effect of the body, under the impression it is freezing from the inside, rather than an effect of the genjutsu.

As for the dormant thing, you use the handseal, next time they take a step they're freezing. It doesn't matter how long after your original post it happens, as long as they haven't released it then it'll activate itself. You just have to post the technique again for sportsmanship :p

Lili always told me to leave the genjutsu as vague as possible, it gives you more control when it comes to you using it.

D: wia u do dis to meh D:

As my opponent stands behind me i make the needed handseals underneath a cloak to keep the technique totally hidden. With the chakra now dormant in the mans brain i then cause the earth the shake violently, with the earth shaking rapidly it would send my opponent off balance, as he took a single step his entire body would become frozen. The flash freeze rips up through his legs icing his leg muscles and freezing his arms, as the flash freeze reaches the eyes the man would feel blistering pain in the back of his head, the pain would be immence and sudden tearing through his brain and causing severe pain all over his head. With the man now suffering from the immense pain of the genjutsu i then channel earth once more, causing a multitude of earthen spikes to rise up skewering him multiple times and killing him upon impact.

Meiton: Tezukami Tora Ryuka (Dark Release: Grabbing Tiger Dragon's Fire)
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: D-S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: Varies (10-40)
Damage: Varies (20-80)
Description: This is a masterful technique of those who possess the Dark Release kekkei genkai. This technique utilizes both of the defining characteristics of Dark Release in a single technique. This technique is a classic example of using your opponent's force against them. The user will first hold both his hands out with their fingers crouched like tiger claws. When their opponent's attack gets within short range, the user will immediately begin siphoning out the chakra and absorbing their technique with his left hand, while simultaneously converting the absorbed chakra into Dark Chakra. When the absorbed chakra becomes dark chakra, the user will then emit the chakra from his right hand, in the form of purple and black flames in a large constant stream. The stream of dark flames will take the shape of a large dragon as it heads towards their target. Though the dragon is naturally large, depending on the strength of the technique being absorbed, the overall damage inflicted varies. If hit in close range with this technique, the victim will receive major internal damage (level of damage varies based on rank of technique).
Note: In this technique the user is both drawing in and converting chakra for it to be released. There is a one second delay from the beginning of the absorption of your opponent's technique to the conversion and release of the dark chakra as an attack.
Note: The absorbing process follows the same principles and guidelines of Dark release.
Note: If this technique is used to absorb and redistribute a technique of S-rank or above, the user cannot use S-rank Dark Release techniques and up for the next turn.
Note: This technique can only be taught by Reborn
Note: S-Rank version can only be used 3x per match.

this one please and thankyou.

Philosphy? Cmon now you know i don't know that kinda stuff, the context of this jutsu i believe was derived from Ukitakes Bankai. He absorbs a technique with one sword, channels it through his cable and fires it from the other, its essentially exactly the same concept, you absorb the technique through one arm, channel and convert the enemies chakra into dark chakra as it circulates through your chakra system, and then release it back out as a focussed blaste of chakra.

The limitations from what i see is the delay, that second can be used by the opponent to execute another jutsu especially if they used a non sustaining technique like a wind ball or fire ball. Leaves you kind of open for a second jutsu while you convert the chakra.

Well I already told you the philosophy of the technique. It's the concept of taking a person's force and using it against them. Quite literally you're extracting the justu of your opponent and then turning that energy into your weapon and shooting it back at them. How the hell didn't you get that? No more or no less than what you absorb is re-distributed with the exception of Forbidden rank.

Limitations are

1) This is a constant stream technique meaning you can't use anything else for the duration of this technique. Also since the absorption and redirection is linked, cutting off either prematurely will result in the other being cut off as well.

2) What you absorb is what you put out. So a D-ranks absorbed technique is a D-ranked Dark Release and there is no strength behind it except against weaker elements

3) You are capable of absorbing Forbidden Ranks techniques if the jutsu falls within the weakness(es) of the element (Fire, Wind, Lightning, Raw chakra, etc) but that only re-distributes S-ranked Dark potential. So by doing so you weaken the technique. This isn't really a bad thing since; against a Forbidden Ranked technique you'll want some shit that can suck it up. It's only a limitation because when you redistribute it you're only giving back S-rank

Ok question 1. If my opponent uses like, a rasenshuriken, i absorb it and then fire it back, does it still stay a constant stream even though the attack absorbed wasn't a stream? Also does the technique only keep firing as long as im still absorbing?

thats all
