You described 6 handseals, but you only performed two, L. But yes, they can. They possess chakra, and while they're buried underground, a chakra sensor can aim it's focus there, piercing the layers of ground and seeing the box hidden.

Any other questions?

Alright. So I was thinking of doing the Woomera now, and finishing up the Box Arts before going into the elite Boxes, but I think you guys want to learn Agwe's Venom, which is probably the most inventive box summoning in the contract xD Agwe is one of the oldest boxes of Archipelago, and the closest living relative of the very first ninja Box Jellyfish, who started the contract. He doesn't say much anymore, and is not summoned directly. Instead, you summon his specialized kin of extremely tiny boxes. The members of the Agwe family, with the exception of Agwe himself, will always be nano-sized. They also have very strong opinions about sardines.

( Koukurage Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Dokueki) Box Jellyfish Summoning Jutsu: Agwe's Venom
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: 80
Description: Allows the user to summon a mist composed of thousands of nano-sized box jellyfishes. The mist moves concisely as a whole. Due to their small size, they don't require a large amount of water as per se, rather each individual is able to survive inside very small water sources, which would enable them to survive, for example, inside the droplets of the mist or inside the human body. Using their powerful venom, they infect the body and eat away the flesh, causing great pain throughout the process. Since they're minimal they are unable to preform jutsus of any kind. As they're summoned they bring forth a water mist, distinguishable from the regular mist by the naked eye only because of an soft and discrete unnatural glow on the droplets of the mist, as if it it alive, unless they're summoned directly into water, thus keeping the glow but summoning no additional water.
*Visible to the naked eye*
*It is possible to be infected and not feel severe effects, rather just pain from the venom, if the boxes are blocked early on*
*Can only be used once*
*Can't be summoned directly on the opponent. The combined amount of boxes is about 1 cubic meter*
*If summoned on rain, they'll fall to puddles, and are unable to move out of the puddle unless they find adjacent water pathways*
*Last 2 turns in the battlefield, take care of an average adult within a turn*

Urek bit his thumb, swept his hand onto the ground and summoned mist composed of thousands of nano-sized box jellyfishes. These jellyfishes did sure amaze Urek, and quickly wanted to analyze them as he spoke to his lady; Lilliana.

''M'lady, these are very handy. These boxes, are splendid, wonderful! Using their powerful venom, they can infect the body and eat away flesh causing pain that is almost unbearable to the human body. These boxes however would fall onto puddle's if there was rain, pure because of their tiny little body which is light as a feather. I would most likely combine these boxes with water technique's that are enormous, spreading the venom into the water making these little monsters deadly as ever.''

That is not true, about the rain I mean. To exist, they require a water source. Each jellyfish doesn't require a huge water source, though, just collectively. You can summon the jellyfishes of a pool of water, and manipulate it around, or in a mist. Those are the preferable sources ( mist being my favorite ). You can also summon them in rain, but rain is composed of falling water, and quite separate from each other, thus won't allow them to fully travel, and fall to puddles. If there's rain and a mist, for example, they will travel through both and won't fall. This is only if there's only rain.

My god, I should subscribe to this.

Dean looks towards the small puddle of water, and proceeds to summon forth a mist composed of thousands of nano-sized Box Jellyfishes. They can vaguely be seen, and Dean is quite shocked that they are that small.

"Sneaky little critters. These nano-sized boxes can hide within mist, and don't need large water sources to be summoned in. These nano size Boxes can infect the human body and eat away flesh, causing great pain. They are quite discreet, move as a whole and when summoned alone, come forth as a mist. They last a single turn, and can take down an average sized human within a turn. Useful, very useful."

Urek claps both hands together and summons ten isolated nematocysts. Two large ones, five medium sized ones and three small ones.

( Kouton: Yari ) Box Arts: Woomera
Rank: A
Rank: Short
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: Allows the user to summon several (up to 10) isolated nematocysts, of various sizes (from the tiny pin-sized nemoticysts of normal boxes to the massive spear/staff sized nematocysts of gigantic boxes). These can be wielded like weapons or thrown like projectiles (in the same manner as one throws kunais or shurikens). The user claps his hands and summons the nematocysts in front of him or in his palms, grabbing them to use. The nematocysts have only one autonomy, if the tips are stimulated, the injection mechanism is triggered, sending an infusion of Box venom directly related with the size of the nematocyst, otherwise, they're innanimate.
*charging chakra through the nematocysts while physically wielding them allows them to gain a certain steel-like quality, like a sword or a kunai. Throwing them or loosing physical contact will rever them back to soft organic material*
*triggering mechanism allows only one infusion, aftewards the namotocyst is reverse summoned*
*human summoners are more resistant but not immune to the venom*
*Can only be used once every 2 turns*
*Range pertains to the range of the summoning of the nematocysts and not their throwing, which is the same as the range at which the user can throw a kunai*

''Well, Bloody queen... I assume that these are ten isolated nematocysts that can either be thrown, or wielded. One basically summons them by clasping both hands together summoning these nematocysts in front of him, grabbing them to use as a tool. And If I'm correct, then the edges of these have a special venom that can be triggered to release a certain venom if the user desires.''

See them as automated vaccine needles, to inject venom.

Dean starts off by performing the summoning technique for the particular box, which is quite different. He claps his hands together, and summons forth 10 nematocysts in front of him, which are very small, about pin sized.

"Interesting ones. These nematocysts can be wielded as weapons or thrown like kunai and shuriken. When stimulated, the nematocysts can inject the deadly venom of the boxes into the opponent, which varies based on size. They can be large like normal Boxes or small like the ones I summoned. When chakra is charged through them, they gain a steel quality, or rather a more solid property. When chakra is not charged through them, they return to their soft organic state. Summoned at short range, but can bethrown like a normal kunai or shuriken. Awesome technique. What are the effects of the venom?"

Dean feels a bit embarrassed as The Sage talks to him.

"Oh, well basically the default Cubozoan venom are the ones that contain hemolytic and neuro-toxins. It causes great pain, and as it spreads it is capable of burning off the flesh and leaving scars. Pretty gruesome stuff."

Good enough ;)

Alright so, you're done with the Box Arts, now it's time for Baron Cemitiere. As I said previously, I believe, there are many families in the Archipelago. The Ruling family are the Barons. Before Baron Samedi and Maman Brigitte's coup d'etat, which I aided upon arrival to the archipelago, the Box kind were ruled by 2 other Barons, La Croix and Cemitiere. They were gigantic boxes, and ruled by power, rather than wit. I will tell more about Maman and Samedi's personality when we learn about them, but for now all you need to know is that they weren't happy with being sidelined, they wanted more power, and proliferated in the chaos that ensued with their claim. The sort of rigid and suppressed regime that the Archipelago was put on was let loose and all the natural wildness and creativity of the Boxes, as you experienced already, was allowed to resurface.

All the Boxes come from Damballah, and he was crazy. Baron Cemitiere and Baron La Croix were trying to suppress that, make the Archipelago a much more structured society, and it might have worked, but they too were crazy, the whole thing was bound to fail. I will write more about this coup in my memoires ( my huge bio story for Isabella Uchiha xD ).

La Croix died in the coup, and Cemitiere was pushed off the ruling family. He's now more of a trump card, used for his massiveness. He Doesn't talk, because he doesn't think it's proper, and he believes himself to be a proper gentleman. But if you say some sort of crass joke, especially sexualized, as the currently ruling Barons tend to, he will burst out laughing with a high-pitch yelp, like a horse neighing.
