The thing about Deidara is that if you dont have a lighting chakra affinity its going to hard to win. Him using C4(mini bombs) or C0(self explosion) he can defeat most ninjas.

If Gaara can kill him fast then its Gaara
But If Deidara can pull of C4 then he is the victor

He was protecting it, Deidara only killed him because he was distracted and he snuck his bombs in his sand. Gaara had a sand area advantage? Oh u mean the one he couldn't use due to his villagers standing right there.

You make it sound as if he can see those bombs to avoid it. He most likely wouldnt even know what happened in order to come up with a counter

He doesn't need to see it. He can easily tell because there is a big deidara so the first thing anyone wud think is that its a huge bomb like Sasuke thought.
