Alright totally new member who has just joined the RP, tell me what you know about crystal release. What natures make it up do you think, also what is it weak to and what is it strong against. Give me a brief breakdown of everything you know.

So Crystals, the non partying kind, is apparently something used by Guren whose fillers I have yet to watch, so I'll need to that later. RP wise, it's composed of earth and wind, and has the potential of converting physical matter into crystals while also having some laser beam, not the youtuber, abilities in some of the techniques I've seen. Other than that it's somewhat similar in terms of usages to some ice techniques from I've seen, but has a big roam for exploration, especially with a little bit of reaches from the techniques I've seen.

It's weak to lightning and sound while being strong to earth and water, although it's rules thread says it's strong towards organic stuff as they can get crystalized, so I'm guessing it can be effective on wood and potentially some ice release techniques.

Yeah the S&W thread for this is a bit vague, I'd probably clarify with Chris, that's LoK since you're new you wouldn't know that. Okay so other than the janky S&W thread entry the rest is fine, it's also a beautiful pink color very masculine and commanding so I hope your bio is yolked af. On to the techniques, for each one give me a brief breakdown and your thoughts on it, and any questions of course.

(Kessho: Rokkaku Shuriken) - Crystal: Hexagonal Shuriken

Description: Guren creates up to eight crystal snowflakes, each sharp and the size of a normal shuriken, that she flings at the opponent. The projectiles move at the same speeds as a normal shuriken

(Kessho: Kouseki Senbon) - Crystal: Crystal Needles
Type: Offensive

Description: Guren creates a number of small, thin, sharp crystal needles resembling senbon, that she fires at the opponent. The needles cannot penetrate harder substances like dense earth or metal.

(Tomegane no Jutsu) - Telescope Technique

Description: Guren creates a crystal ball, which provides her an aerial view of the battlefield, letting her see the opponent's moves. However, if the opponent is completely enshrouded in something, like Mist or Smoke, the ball will not work. It is extremely fragile and has to be continually held in her hand to use its effects.

(Shoton: Suisho To) - Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Blade

Description: Guren can quickly form a blade made of crystal on her arm, the length and size of a standard issue ninja tanto. The blades are only as strong as a normal sword. Blades can be formed on both arms if needed.

Sure thing, but what is a LoK? Never heard of that!

Hexagonal Shuriken, Crystal Needles, and Jade Crystal Blade are just elemental applications of the basic tools in a sense, albeit given an elemental edge with increased strength. Potentially I'd make a custom to create these beforehand and have them replace my normal tools and weaponry at a higher level without an active jutsu cost. Jade Crystal blade is alright, as I guess I can have the blades around my arm and combine that with some of my Sage transformation techniques to have some unique slashes.

Telescope reminds me of the technique Hiruzen used way back, so it's pretty much a basic form of sensory, although it also opens up some room custom wise, but overall an alright technique situationally such as in the NW.

Correct they are all in fact garbage, moving on!

Now these all say Guren, but I'm gonna assume that's just because they've never been updated since Crystal became an ability that wasn't bio bound, meaning you can use them with a custom bio now, if I'm wrong then tough luck I guess.

(Shoton: Kessho Yasu) - Crystal Release : Crystal Lance

Description: A variant of the All Directions Shuriken technique, Guren condenses crystal particles around herself forming many small shuriken, which then fly forwards in every direction. These shuriken have the speed and strength of normal shuriken.

I see!

Lance is a lance! It extends across her arm and can reach 10 meters to be used at a bit of range with the inability to move the fingers/wrist. I guess combining this with Sage Transformation can subvert that to a degree, but ehh.

Shuriken wild dance is simply sending a bunch of shuriken outwards similar to how Hiruzen boy did back in the day. I guess this one's advantage is that it wouldn't require you to carry shuriken around.

Crossing technique is a C rank with four hand seals. So fu- I mean, it's a crystal application of basic earth pillar technique although it can be used to encase opponents similar to ice release as well, so thats good.

Crystal Mirror and Clones. Yikes. A clone technique that requires setup lmao. So you create a snowflake crystal and then it shatters to produce clones. Honestly even with the reflective nature being somewhat deceptive I won’t be using this set of techniques for any battle reason tbvh.

Crystal needles is just firing out a coloured crystal at the opponent with it being able to reach long range.

The generic creation technique, nothing much to be said besides that most of the previous techniques I learned could have been deleted and combined into this.

Description: By creating five large crystalline pillars around the user, this technique can be used to enhance the potency of other techniques. It was used to greatly amplify Yūkimaru's ability to the point that he could summon the Three-Tails, although with assistance from Kabuto's medication. Although the technique contains the word "hexagonal", the pillars appear in a pentagonal formation.

Note: Active for three turns and only works on techniques created within its boundaries

(Kessho no Yoroi) - Crystal Armour

Description: This jutsu allows Guren to become encased in a thin sheet of crystal to protect her from blunt force trauma. This armor can also aid Guren in performing stronger physical attacks, i.e. her punches can break normal human bone easily. The crystal is transparent and can only be noticed by light reflecting off it. It affords no protection against Nin-jutsu and slows Guren down to one rank below her ability.

Description: Guren creates a crystal dragon after making three handseals. The dragon is large enough to allow Guren to stand on it and it attacks by rushing at the opponent to slam into them. Upto two dragons can be made with this technique.

Lmao, unnecessarily long too.

Hexagonal Pillars, or rather pentagonal pillars! is one of the weirder techniques that I'll see if it has custom potential. It creates pillars that would enhance the strength of the user's attacks should they be used within it's boundaries. Given it's range that can be pretty easy to essentially use as a blanket effect tbh.

Armour is an armour. It's transparent and makes the user slower.

Crimson Fruit is a dome to surround or protect a target.

Falling Dragon creates a dragon or two that can be used for attacking or riding.

Correct, now this next set might contain one of the worst jutsu I've ever seen, literally lets you float on water, you're a ninja you can fucking run on water. I hate this so much.

Description: The user begins by forming a single handsign and causing her finger nails to grow crystal talons which extend up to 1" past finger length. These talons can extend at fast speeds leaving very small room for error when evading freeform slashing and can retract back just as fast. The user also has the ability to at will shoot the nails like senbon from their hands to mid range. By doing this, the fingers will revert back to normal and not be crystal anymore.

Note: Can only be used three times during battle.
Note: The user cannot extend and retract more than twice for each way in the same turn.
Note: Can maintain talons for two turns.

LMAO man, imma say sure this is good if an opponent creates an appropriate ranked water source or something.

Crystal thorns creates thorns that can be directed at the enemy.

Dragon talons is similar to the Kaguya technique. It allows for talons that can be used for CQC or be sent out and retract from range. It’s aight I guess

(Shōton: Suishōheki Hachi no Jin) - Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Wall Eighth Formation

ah the classic A ranks with 80 damage, good times!

Eight Formation, surprisingly not a a weed reference is a technique with too much hand seals that enables the user to encase a large area with crystals and in turn crystallise anything within it's range that is applicable. It's pretty cool, perhaps some custom potential out of it.

Encampment Wall creates a defense wall, ultra unique, ultra effective.

Greater Crystal Release is an advanced release technique.

Hexagonal Shuriken creates a big shuriken that can be sent into long range. It's also sharp for all thats worth.

(Shōton: Suishō Meikyū no Jutsu) - Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Labyrinth Technique

Description: Guren begins by creating a large number of crystal flowers. Then she can grow these flowers into a gigantic labyrinth consisting of red crystals. Enemies trapped inside it will mostly be lost due to the red crystals that reflect their personal image as well as the generated mirror images of the routes, paths, and details within the labyrinth which continue to confuse and intimidate them. It is even capable of confusing the Byakugan because of its reflective nature. Because of the crystal's stable molecular structure, a simple attack focused at one point is rendered useless, and its wide surface will disperse the force of wide range attacks, reducing their effectiveness. To overcome this technique, an attack that has impact force both wide and powerful is required to smash through it.

(Shishō Tenketsu) - Pressure Points of Harm and Death

Damage: -10 to self each turn, +20 to crystal techniques
Description: Guren releases two tenketsu points to greatly increase her chakra for a short time by changing her life force into chakra, allowing the use of taxing techniques such as Crystal Release: String of Glory. The amount of chakra released is so much that it causes water to form a vortex around her, similar to the one caused by opening the Sixth Gate of Joy from the eight gates, also her eyes momentarily go completely white, and her chakra is so concentrated that it becomes visible around her.

Note: Active for three turns.

No worries, I barely stomach looking at some of these techniques myself.

Arrow would have been cooler if it could be combined with other techniques or movement. But anyways it encases you in Crystals defensively that can be used to fire off a heat blast for a damage approach.

Labrynth can be cool if used within the NW I guess, covering a personal LM with it to achieve a unique effect. Hopefully there’s a detonation technique, but if not I guess I’ll make it a custom.

Pressure points seems to be bootlegging a bunch of stuff for a normal boost to Crystals. It’s not bad per se, but not particularly the most effective considering the damage. It is nice aesthetically though.

Indeed without a detonation labyrinth is just a bit annoying, pressure points was just weird honestly. Didn't make much sense, I have no idea why Hyuga don't just do this all the time if poking tenketsu could do this.

(Shōton: Isshi Kōmyō) - Crystal Release: String of Glory

Description: After using the Pressure Points of Harm and Death technique, Guren encases herself in a prism of crystal. The prism can hover in the air, but seems to be immobile. However, the prism protects her from almost any attack, as it was capable of withstanding a barrage of continuous Rasengan, only shattering in the end. In addition, this technique allows her to attack by focusing her chakra into powerful heat blasts launched through the prism's tip.

Note: Can only be used after Pressure Points of Harm and Death technique.
Note: The effects of the aforementioned technique will end upon using this jutsu.

(Shoton: Kessho Chōeki no Nami) - Crystal Release: Crystal Imprisonment Wave

Description: This is a larger scale of Crystal Release: Crystal Pentagonal Prison. After forming two handseals, Guren thrusts both hands out from her body with the palms facing in the direction of the incoming threat. By releasing a large amount of chakra, she can halt a swarm of opponents or a sizable technique by encasing them into many crystallized prisons. Unlike other similar techniques that emerge from the ground, this crystal can form within midair.

Note: Can only be twice once per battle.
Note: Use within the realm of logically sized techniques.

(Shōton: Yuka) - Crystal Release: Floor
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description: The user does three handsigns by building up their crystal chakra and proceeds to transform the top three feet of the ground into crystal. This makes it so that the enemy is no longer touching the ground, thus allowing the user to manipulate the newly-formed crystal itself. This also can be used as a focus point for causing crystal jutsus to rise up from the platform faster as there is already a crystal source to draw from. The platform can be damaged, but it will take a jutsu equal in power to do so, following elemental interactions. The user also has the ability to control how far the range of the technique will work, but has to state during the jutsu process which ranges are being effect. Lastly, earth techniques cannot be manipulated from the ground as long as this jutsu is on the field for either the user or the enemy. Speed reference for building the platform is similar in speed to crystal labyrinth.

Note: Can only be used once.
Note: This jutsu stays on the field for four turns.

Filler arcs be doing the most

String of Glory is erm, let's say basically the same as arrow of light with the restriction of needing a techniques activated before it.

Crystal Wave is kinda alright as it has a higher base chakra and can create Crystal from mid air somehow to encase objects/opponents in a crystal prism. Can only be twice once per battle is a weird ass restriction but sure whatever, I highly doubt I'm going to be using this anyways.

Floor simply creates a layer of crystals on the terrain that lasts for 4 turns. It prevents manipulation of earth techniques to an extent and enables the usage of the crystals as a source for other crystal release techniques.
