Crystal release is an advanced elemental which is used by bios with earth and wind release, it has advantages over earth, water and wood, but is weak to lightning and sound which can make it shatter.
Crystal release is used up until cellular level meaning it can be created from physical mass [lightning and fire hold no mass so someone with good chakra control could counter it this way] and manipulated if already existing in the world.]
It can also crystallize living beings imprisoning them.
It is also susceptible to sound as a certain frequency can shatter it -> look at real world shattering whine glasses,.
The crystal can also be used as a defense mechanism hardening the body for incoming physical attacks.
It can also extend the users taijutsu range with for example the use of crystal blades attached to the arms, extending nails as crystals almost immediately good for free form fighting.
Also it can be used as a observation method in the form of a crystal ball. But only for objects/persons in direct line of sight. Not if masked by lets say mist, smoke screens, and other jutsu. The downside is that ball should be held in hand at all times. But you could build on this for a custom jutsu I suppose?

Crystal
Weak to: The Crystals produced are weak to Lighting and Sound. Sound shatters Crystal, Lightning cuts through it. However, Crystal itself can't be used to crystalize energy based elements (Fire, Wind, Lightning, etc) or raw chakra.
Strong to: Earth and Water. Crystal is harder and denser than Earth, overcoming it, while Water, without the addition of another element, doesn't have enough power to counter Crystal directly. Both are susceptible to being crystallized.
It's more that, it takes a lot of fire to break crystal but you can't crystalise fire. SO they would be neutral. Where as the way lightning works it would shatter crystal.
You can crystallise all solids and liquids though so you'd be strong to most
But direct clashes you are:
Weak to: Sound + lightning
Strong to: Water + earth
Neutral: fire, wind and everything else unless stated otherwise in those elements.

1. summon shurikens throw them all at once. or one after another. Same speed as freeform shurikens. Can be sped up with wind I guess. Seems pretty straight forward
2. Same principal as number 1 these can be stopped by denser materials cuz they are small and more fragile. I would use these to aim them at certain parts to incapacitate the enemy.
3. More a jutsu to be used outside of combat where you can scout the battlefield for people etc. cloaked or hidden object/peoples can't be seen by this. User must hold the ball in one hand to be used at all times.

1. basicly extends your arm in a lance/spear. it says you cant move hand or wrist but i think if it comes from the should you can only use it with the arm extended. good for keeping someone at bay.

Yeah good good.
WHile we are here, unless it's a cannon jutsu, you can't spawn stuff within 5m of people for the most part. So these spikes are fine but like can't spawn custom lava jutsu under someone.

Description: After performing Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Mirror, Guren can make multiple clones of herself emerge from the mirror. These clones are made of crystal and crumble back into crystal after they are defeated. Clones made by this technique are also able to deceive Byakugan users because of the reflective nature of the clone. However, by focusing their sight, this can be circumvented.

1. Be careful how you word things. Freeform is like if you attack someone without using a jutsu. All jutsu need to be countered by using a jutsu. But you have free reign with this basic application that gives you diversity with your element.
2. Stand still and 3 turns of buff. A set up jutsu for minimal buff to be fair.
You're going to have to elaborate on what you mean bud. What mode?
I meant you freeform in the way you can chose how the crystals are made, the looks of it etc right?
The zanpaktou would enhance this ability but lets leave that aside as I don't understand it enough yet. on how to make it, the boundries etc.
Yeah you have a free reign on the way you create it, while retaining that rank.
Right while we are here i'll talk you through it real quick. You can make two custom weapons, these don't count towards you cj limit. You can only ever have one custom weapon on a bio at any time. The weapon's rank can only made for the rank level you can use, so right now you can use B ranks, so your weapon could be B rank.
Your cw can have up to i'd say 4 abilities. The more you have the weaker each ability will have to be.
Now the sword you want to make, i believe is Byakuya's Zanpaktou. For this you could do a couple of things. Say the sword is made of crystal that can breakdown into 1000 shards that you can then control, much like his shikai. You could try and say due to the infusion of crystal chakra in the sword, your crystal jutsu get a passive boost. ... we can work on these though
I'd strongly advise you wait until you're jounin rank and focus on ranking up now and look for some battles to rank up to get some experience.
