Earth is Stable. It makes up the entire world. Even metals are earth, just in a purified state.
Earth is hard and can be used as offensive and defensive.

Earth is strong against water, because it stops the flow of water. And is weak against lightning because the lightning cuts through the earth.

Is that good?

Come out of the hole.

Try focusing your chakra into the earth and shaping it into a pillar. Then make the pillar rise up from the ground. Try doing the same thing again but try to make a sheild. Remember to make the pillar like a cylinder and the sheild more rectangular.

It not exactly shape manipulation but just the way you use nature manipulation to bring out the earth,

Try again, focus a little more and make the pillar and shield stronger.

Perfect. Now this is a little different. Insert yourself into the earth and come up beneath this dummy -points at one of my clones- and try to pull him into the ground leaving only his head above the surface.

Pull him down with more force so he has much less time to react. If you can do that then you will have completed this jutsu.

Good now I'll teach you the last R rank earth jutsu. It is similar to the first one.

Send chakra into the ground and turn it into the shape of a staff. Grab it in your hand and throw it at that tree. Once you've mastered that, try to create multiple spears and lauch them at the tree. You won't be as accurate but there are more staffs.
