Saito listens as Madara explains the technique to him. Saito does 4 hand seals and sends his doton chakra into the ground. It travels to mid range, then is forced out of the ground all at once to create many pillars of earth to trap an unsuspecting clone. Saito releases the jutsu and then turns to Madara.

In battle, I would use it to get my opponent to stay in one spot so I could hit them with something more damaging, but less accurate. Offensively, I could definitely see myself using this in combination with Earth Release : Stone Spikes to pierce the opponent when they are trapped in the cage of stone. To escape this jutsu as there isn't really any defending against this, I could use something with a high destructive power like Rasengan or a lightning based jutsu. I find this technique interesting and sorta useful. Interesting because it forces the opponent into a small confined area, but only sorta useful because of its rank. Many things could be used to escape the cage. Saito said.
_______
Question: does the cage have a ceiling of a slab of stone or something?
_______

Saito again listens to Madara explain the next technique. Saito then tries the jutsu out for himself. He slams both of his hands on the ground and instantly sends a butt load of doton chakra into the ground, which immediately forced a large wall of earth to rise right in front of him.

In battle, I would use this technique to block incoming techniques which I thought would better be blocked than dodged via a stone pillar or something. There is no offensive way to use this technique as it is a solely defensive technique. Again, there is no defending against this technique as it is used for only defensive purposes. I find this technique useful and interesting. It is a very simple technique, but its also a nice defensive technique for thrown/ launched jutsus/ weapons. There are far more many offensive techniques than defensive techniques, so this helps add another defensive technique to what I can use at this point in time. Saito said

No, not exactly. I think the pillars just come together at one point and close of the top together.

(Doton: Doro Hōshi) - Earth Release: Mud Spore
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique lets the user summon a river of mud infront of them. This technique can have water added to it to speed up the flow and increase its power.

This jutsu without the use of hand seals creates a river of mud. The mud is summoned in front of the user then travels toward the opponent all the way up to long range. If you want, you can combine with a water technique to increase the speed of the mud. This jutsu is very useful offensively when you are close to the opponent or perhaps mid range from the opponent. You can summon the river of mud without any hand seals to catch the opponent off guard. The river of mud will catch them off guard and sweep them away. Of course it is not meant to be a pure offensive technique, you must then use the opening the river creates when it pushes them away to follow up with another attack. The technique does not have defensive capabilities because it is not solid like regular earth and can't be exactly shaped to form defensive structure. It is easy to counter because the river mud is low to the ground. You can use raise the earth underneath you so that river of mud hits the side of the raised earth as you are earth unaffected at the top.

(Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) - Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Ox → placing hand on the ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to the area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

This jutsu requires 2 hand seals and placing your hand on the ground. This jutsu is essentially a whirlpool of earth somewhat similar to a whirlpool of water. The user will send their earth chakra into the ground to cause the earth underneath the opponent to loosen and crumble. The user will then cause the earth to spin in a spiral with the direction of spin being focused toward the center. If the technique is done with the opponent at the center of the spiral, all the rocks around the user on the ground will converge toward him burying his body in rocks. The jutsu can be countered if you can initially sense the earth chakra in the ground then just channel lightning chakra to negate the earth before there are drastic changes. If the you cannot sense the earth chakra, then you once you see the changes in the earth, you can simply use a technique that allows you to so airborne to get out of the range of the spiral and onto solid ground.

Saito listens to Madara explain the next technique to him. Saito summons a water clone to run at him, so he could send him away with the river. Saito gave the signal and the clone started to dash at him. Saito focused his doton chakra into the ground quickly, mixing it with water already in the ground. He then had the river appear right as the clone was about to punch him, sending him speeding to the right.

In battle, it seems like a great technique if you dont want to engage in CQC but the opponent does, as I can just send them back to long range quickly. Offensively, it does no damage but maybe I could set up some spikes or something at a certain part of the river for the opponent to slam into. To defend against this technique, I could make a pillar to stand on above the river. I fin this technique useful and interesting, as it can send the opponent to long range very quickly and catch them off guard. Saito said.

Saito listens to Madara explain the next technique. Saito does the hand seals Boar → Ox and then places his hands on the ground. He sends lots of doton chakra into the earth and focuses it under the clone which he had sent to long range from the previous technique, swirling it around under him. The earth under the clone starts to break apart and swirl like a whirlpool, trapping his legs and making him "poof".

In battle it seems like a nice way to put the opponent on the defensive, and if the rocks do catch their legs or other parts of their body, I'm sure it would break some bones. Offensively, I would use it to catch them off guard and force them to use a technique to dodge/defend. To defend against this, I could send a gust of wind to help me avoid it (if I knew how to control that element that is) or I could destroy the rocks with something like a large lightning based attack. I find this technique interesting and useful as it can put the opponent in a bad situation quickly. Saito said.

(Doton: Dochū Eigyo no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique
Rank: C
Type: Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent. By utilizing earth-chakra, the person can stealthily emerge from the ground without disrupting the ground around him. This jutsu can also be used to avoid incoming jutsus.

The way this technique is used is as purely an escape measure. It is best used if the opponent does not have vision of you. There is only one real use for this technique so this explanation won't be that long. When you opponent is attack you from various sides and you feel that there is no way you can defend against all of them, use this defend to merge with the ground of move through it. The user does this by focusing earth chakra throughout his body and actually turning his body into earth. He merges his earth body with normal earth to seamlessly travel through it. It has no offensive uses and cannot be used to defend other than to escape. If the opponent is unaware that you went underground or doesn't have sensing abilities you can use this to your advantage move behind you opponent and give him a surprise. A simple way to counter this technique is that after deducing you opponent went underground (sensing or by seeing it) you can create a Swamp of the Underworld to stop him in his tracks or World Shaking to cause him to come out of the ground. This jutsu can be risky for an opponent who can use you being underground to his advantage.

(Doton: Doryūkatsu) - Earth Release: Earth Flow Divide
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the required hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and then by flowing concentrated chakra from one's palms into the Dragon Veins flowing underground, one can tear the earth apart, creating large chasms by firstly raising the earth in the desired location and then splitting that peice of earth through the center. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defences, and even to attack.
Note: This does not split the earth appart directly to cause opponents to fall in the fissure.

This jutsu requires quite a number of hand seals relative to other jutsu, six to be exact. The jutsu works by sending your earth chakra into the ground and focusing it on the Dragon Veins underground. You then cause your chakra to rise up then split the section of earth that is risen in half. You can manipulate the split in any manner that you desire. The technique can be used to drain certain water techniques or to cause your opponent to fall into the chasm. The technique is mostly used to affect the surrounding environment and doesn't really attack you or can it defend a blast like technique. If the opponent uses it, it is mostly to drain water. Simply use common sense to stop yourself from falling into the chasm in any manner that you feel is appropriate.

Saito listens as Madara explains the next technique.

This sounds a lot like "Hiding Like a Mole". Saito thought as Madara was talking to him.

Saito focused his doton chakra all throughout his body, which allowed him to slip through the earth as a clone he made threw several shuriken and kunai at him. Saito then emerged from the ground, exactly where he had slipped into the ground.

In battle, I could use this technique to avoid incoming techniques. There is no offensive way to use this technique besides getting behind the opponent to use some sort of other technique. To defend against this technique, I could use world shaking, swamp of the underworld, or a large Chidori Nagashi, to name a few. I find this technique useful and interesting, but not as much as I do with "Hiding Like a Mole" jutsu. Hiding Like a Mole I feel is the same thing as this technique except with Hiding like a Mole you can follow up with "Double Suicide Decapitation" jutsu. Saito said.

Saito then listened to Madara explain the next technique to him. Saito did the hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and then slammed his right hand onto the ground, sending doton chakra into the Dragon Veins underground. This caused the Dragon Veins to completely rearrange a certain part of the landscape. A large part of a forrest was brought up by the ground under it rising, then the forrest and ground split, making a little path which one could walk through.

In battle, I would use this technique to drain water sources which might be used to help an enemy preform a technique. There are no real ways to use this offensively or defensively. Maybe if the opponent was underground I could use this to get them out from underground, but I would have to know where they were because this jutsu only effects a certain area. I could use a jutsu which propels my body in a direction to get myself away from the changing part of the earth. I find this technique interesting and useful in that it can drain water sources. Saito said.

(Doton: Tsuchi Douyou no Hira) – Earth Release: Earth Shaking Palm
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: After performing snake hand seal the user slams their hand on the ground. The result is that the ground becomes heavily turned up with chunks of rubble popping out of the ground. This technique is used as a means to distract opponents to either create an escape or follow through with a surprise attack.

This technique is the same as (Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) - Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm. The only difference is that this technique requires one less hand seal and at the same time is much weaker. While the other technique can cause severe damage to the opponent if they get caught, this technique can only distract the opponent making them lose balance and such. This technique should mainly used to create an opening for another attack and not as a finishing attack by itself. The user will send their earth chakra into the ground to cause the earth underneath the opponent to loosen and crumble. Now you just move the crumbled rocks and flip them over or move them around or up to make the opponent react to the changes. This can be defend the same way as the other technique, just go air born or out of the range of the center of action.

(Doton: Kengan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Fist Rock Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After performing the snake → Seal of Confrontation and then by encasing their arm in rock, the user can deal a powerful hardened punch against an opponent while being protected from direct contact with their target. If necessary, the weight of the rock can be increased to further increase the punch's destructive power through the Earth Release: Added Weight Technique or the Earth Release: Super Added Weight Technique.

What can I say... you do two hand seals and cover your arm in rock. This technique is pretty much just a powerful punch. You can use it to punch through certain earth techs or water techs. Anything you can't do with a punch you can't do with this technique. I'm not gonna tell you how to punch or how to block a punch, instead just tell me how you would punch or counter this strengthened punch.

Saito listens as Madara explains the technique to him. He does the snake hand seal and then slams his hand onto the ground, sending doton chakra into the earth at the same time. He made the doton chakra which he had just sent into the ground move around quickly, breaking apart the ground in the process.

In battle, this technique seems kind of useless to me, as it isn't really that great of a distraction. There is no way to use this technique offensively, and to avoid it I could use a wind jutsu to push me back, some sort of pillar or even a geiser of sorts. I dont really find it all that useful or interesting. Saito said.

Saito listened again as Madara explained the next technique. Saito focused a large amount of doton chakra in his right arm, then released it outwards. This caused Saito's arm to be covered in a layer of stone.

In battle, I would use this technique if I wanted to punch someone but have more force/ deal more damage. I would punch the opponent in either the gut or the face, as both would cause immense pain. I think that one of the best counters for a punch with this technique being used is meeting the opponent's fist with a chidori or raikiri, as it would smash through the rock and stab their arm. I find this technique interesting and a little useful. Saito said.

(Doton: Ton'neru chika no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Tunneling Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range.

I'm personally going to keep this short as this technique has absolutely no offensive or defensive capabilities. It does one thing and that is create a tunnel. The tunnel requires four hand seals and the user sends his chakra into the earth and moves the earth so that it creates a wide tunnel. The tunnel can only be created short range from you but it can extend all the way up to long range. It also does work on rocky areas. Basically you can create the tunnel to move underground to escape attacks but a skilled opponent can just use a technique to make the tunnel collapse on you. If your opponent is using a technique that causes force on the ground beneath him you can use this technique to make a tunnel underneath the ground to make him fall into it. But sadly the time it would take would allow him enough to counter. If your opponent uses, respond like I mentioned above. I wouldn't use this if I were you though.

(Doton: Dōka Iwa fubuki) - Earth Release: Assimilated Rock Blizzard
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After performing the Assimilate All Creation Technique to fuse with an object, the user controls the rocks that make up their "body" and shoot the rocks at the target.
Note: Must use Assimilate all creation technique beforehand.

The technique simply shoots rocks out of your body. It does requires Assimilate All Creation to be active before hand. If it is not active before hand I would not use this technique because it means you would have to use two moves just to shoot rocks out of your body. The user channels his chakra into his body to turn his chakra in to earth then fires the earth out in the form of rocks. Offensively it just throws rocks you can power the rocks by using a fire technique to heat them up but the base technique is just rocks and I personally wouldn't use a second jutsu just to power up a weaker first jutsu. To defend against this an explosive kunai itself should work. Anything that can stop rocks also works. I don't think you'll have a hard time coming up with a way to stop rocks.

I shall master this technique and be known as "The Sage of the Tunneling Technique" one day lmao
______________________

Saito listens as madara talks about the tunnels and all they have to offer.

Saito focused his doton chakra into the earth and did 4 hand seals. A small hole instintely opened up right in front of him. Saito next created a water clone and stuck a paper bomb on its back, then sent it down the tunnel. The clone ran to long range then activated the paper bomb, blowing a hole in the ground.

Yeah I'm probably almost never gonna use this technique except for times when I can hide the fact that I made the tunnel, then send a clone with a paper bomb on them underground. I dont really find it too interesting and not really all that useful either.

Saito next listened to Madara talk about rocks shooting from the body.

Saito focused doton chakra at the edges of his skin, then made it into a rocks, shooting them at a clone which sent a gust of wind at them, redirecting them back to Saito. (sorry not very detailed because its just shooting rocks, very simple)

I wouldnt really use this unless I already had that other jutsu active as you said, because its a waste of a move. Offensively, I can see it being good if say in CQC 2 people have swords locked against each other, then one of them could create a rock from their stomach which would shoot at the opponent. To defend, you can literally do just about anything, but I'll go overkill and go with a Susano. So yeah. One could defend with a Susano, or even a Kamui. :p I find this technique kind of interesting, as it generates rocks from the body, but not very useful.

(Doton: Retsudo Tenshin) - Earth Release: Violent Heavenly Earth Needle
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage point: 30
Description: The user after after using earth release: earth flow wave, will perform the snake hand seal and then will create a large needle out of it to impale the opponent.
Note: Must use Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave before hand

This jutsu has two requirements for it to happen: one it requires one hand seal, two it requires Earth Flow Wave to be used. In essence, the user of this jutsu will manipulate the existing chakra that is infused inside of earth flow wave and combine nature manipulate of the earth with simple shape manipulate to create a large needle from Earth Flow Wave to stab the opponent. Looking at the jutsu it is not very complicated. The jutsu simply creates a stabbing instrument. I personally would not use this technique because it is only short range (not a good range to be stabbing the opponent as it gives them more freedom in their response) and because it requires an existing technique. So you basically use 2 moves just to stab the opponent. Offensively this jutsu is not feasible. And since it is only C-rank you can defend against it using anything lightning technique that is stronger (and there are plenty). Use this technique at your own caution, it could lead to your opponent gaining an upper hand.

(Doton: Dāchiganshō) - Earth Release: Ground Bedrock
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: After forming the necessary seal Snake, the user creates two walls of earth and traps their target in between them.

This jutsu requires only one hand seal and just causes two wall of earth to crush the opponent. The user simply channels his earth chakra into both sides of the opponent and causes two walls of earth to rise up. The walls of earth slam together with the opponent in the middle and crushes the opponent. This jutsu can be used to distract the opponent while you use another attack. Offensively it just crushes the opponent between two slabs, it is not very restricting. Your opponent has several ways of countering. I would recommend using this technique to force you opponent into a more favorable situation for you rather than a KO. For example you want your opponent to move into long range then you can use this. To defend against this, like I just said, just move straight back and allow to walls to miss because of their limited directional capabilities. Or destroy the wall. Either method works.

Because I cant use Earth Flow Wave yet I'll just talk and not do. Offensively, it could surprise the opponent maybe, but you would have to be on the earth wave already and its just short range. Anything lightning can destroy this basically. I dont find this technique useful but maybe a bit interesting because it looks cool. Saito said.

Madara next talked to Saito about the next technique.

Saito did the snake hand seal, then focused his doton chakra around a tree stump mid range away. Saito made two slabs of earth flip out of the ground and slam into the stump, smashing it into wood chips.

In battle, this technique could be used to surprise the opponent and force them into a position which might not be desirable for them. To defend, a lightning tech would suffice or something to move myself away from the location of the slabs. I find this technique interesting and useful, but I find bedrock coffin more useful because its, well, more rock. Saito said.

________

Question which doesnt have to do with these techs: Can I preform multiple techs at the same time as long as only 1 of them requires hands seals? For example could I use Gyokaku no jutsu at the same time as stone spikes, because stone spikes doesn't need hand seals?

No you can't perform multiple techniques at the same time even if it requires only one hand seal... if they are different techniques in any way, even different techniques of the same element. You can perform the same technique twice in a row making it seem like its at the same time, but you still have to follow all the procedures. If it requires one hand seal, then you need to do two hand seals to do it twice in a row. The only element in the whole RP that will allow you to do two techs of the same element at the same tine is Wood release, but that's just because Hashirama hax. If you have Yin and Yang, then you can focus two different natures at once and thus you can do two different elemental techniques at the same time. But for you, no. Until you stop fueling chakra into one tech, you can't start another. The exception is of course genjutsu.

(Doton: Hokoriheki no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Dust Wall Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary, Defense
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra releasing it into the ground and with a wave of their arm or through the application of a weapon can cause a small wall of dust particles and sand to rise up from the ground and thrusting forwards. This technique can be used to push back enemy targets or defend against thrown projectiles.

The technique is simple and fast in that it doesn't require any hand seals but it is indeed a very weak technique. The user sends their chakra into the ground but moves the chakra only on the surface of the ground. You don't send your chakra very deep because you won't really be manipulating the earth that deep. You only want the earth on top. You then use your chakra to separate the earth layer on top from the ground itself creating a small layer of loose earth which you break down into dust. You use your arm to thrust the dust up and toward the opponent. As I said, a very weak technique. At most it can push the opponent away or block projectiles. It can't even be use to defend against water. To counter it just use any technique that can overpower the dust like a fire blast or wind blast.

( Doton: Rokkuhanmā ) - Earth Release: Rock Hammer
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulates their chakra and creates a huge rock from the ground that will rise up, hammering the opponent by slamming it down from above them.

Not really difficult to understand. Sorta of very blunt attack. The user just focuses their chakra into the ground and manipulates the shape to cause it to rise up in the form a large chuck of rock. The rock then slams down onto the opponent after you've lifted it above them. Because of the bluntness of this attack, you can combine it with a supplementary technique to help its offensive use. Because right now, it only has one... smash. Possible use a technique that ruins your opponents balance, or their vision to create an opening. To guard, just blast through the large rock with stronger lightning to cause to break apart.

Saito listened to Madara explain the technique then showed him the jutsu.

Saito then focused his doton chakra into his right arm, raising it at the same time. A large amount of dust rose up and stopped a fuma shuriken and 4 regular shuriken which he asked Madara to throw at him. The dust slowed the weapons in their tracks and made them fall to the ground. He then let the dust settle to the ground.

In battle, I would use this to obscure the vision of my opponent from seeing what I was doing, maybe going underground or preforming a technique which has a very identifiable sequence of hand signs. I would also use it to stop thrown projectiles, however using this against bomb tagged kunai would not be the smartest idea as the bomb tags would still explode. I cant use this technique offensively, and to "defend" against it, or rather a way to get rid of the dust could be to use a wind technique to disperse it/ cause it to surround the opponent obscuring their vision 360°. I think I will probably use this technique here and there in battle to stop projectiles and to hide what I am doing.

Madara next explained and showed him the Rock Hammer technique. Saito focused his doton chakra into a specific area of the ground, then made it rise up, lifting a large rock with it. He then slammed it down on the ground, making a small crater.

In battle, I could use this technique to cause a threatening situation which could break bones. Offensively, I would have to get to close range of the opponent, which if successfully pulled off could cause some big not specified damage (breaking bones for example, though it seems most earth techniques have the ability to break bones, correct me if I'm wrong). To defend, as you said a lightning attack would work, but the thing is, because this technique can only strike the opponent in short range, the opponent could use Nagashi, breaking the rock and doing damage to me all at the same time. I find this technique interesting and useful, though as I said Nagashi is a huge weak point to this jutsu.

( Doton: Iwa Dangan ) - Earth Release: Rock Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulating their chakra creates and sends a huge rock at the opponent, causing them to fall back.

A pretty basic technique overall. This jutsu doesn't require any hand seals and just works on the basic concept of manipulating the shape of the earth using your chakra. The user sends their chakra into the earth and causes a large chuck of earth to rise up out of the ground. Use your chakra to maintain the chuck of rock so that it is a dense rock. Then thrust the earth toward your opponent and launch the chuck of rock like a huge bullet. Of course this cause incredibly brute force, and it if lands directly on the opponent it can crush them. You can make it stronger by using a first bullet to heat up the earth bullet making it molten. You can simply just stop this with an appropraitely stronger earth jutsu or break it apart with lightning.

( Doton: Jōshō Iwa ) - Earth Release: Rising Rocks
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user claps their hands together and then unleashes two huge rocks from the ground on either side of the enemy to send the opponent flying backwards.

Another pretty basic technique. This one also doesn't requires any hand seals, it just involves sending your chakra into the earth and manipulating it. This technique requires a bit more manipulation then the previous. You actually have to cause the earth of both sides of your opponent to rise up and surround the opponent from both sides. The rocks then slam into the opponents and knock them backwards. You can defend against this by simply breaking the rocks using a lightning tech or using an earth armor that is stronger to absorb the hit. If you wanted to make it stronger you could combined it with a water tech like Gushing Water Imprisonment so that it prevents your opponents from using lightning and one of their elements is taken away causing them to have less to defend with.

Saito listened to Madara explain to him the next two techniques.

He gathered doton chakra under the ground in front of him, then made the chakra rise, brining out a sizable rock with it. Saito had to be very careful not to lose focus as the rock would probably stop floating if he broke concentration. He moved all of the doton chakra which was in the rock to the far side of it, launching the rock at a dummy, snapping it and smashing it.

In battle, I could use it to block the vision of the opponent (once the rock was at short range) while at the same time creating a situation where the opponent had to avoid/ stop the rock. Offensively, I could use it to get the opponent to focus their attention at the rock coming at them while I use a more sneaky attack like stone spikes or a katon based jutsu which travels through the ground. To defend against this technique, a lightning based attack would work obviously, as would something with nice destructive power like the explosion of a technique or maybe a rasengan? I find this technique not too interesting or useful, it seems very simple, but then again every technique can be a game changer when used at the right time. Saito said.

Saito next focused his doton chakra into the earth in front of a clone he had made. He definitely felt that this technique was more difficult to use as his sensei had told him because you have to focus your doton chakra into two places instead of the regular one. Saito, after a bit of fiddling with pouring chakra into two places at one time, created two stone rocks in front (and slightly to each side) of his clone. Because it was a clone, the clone turned back to raw water, but if it were used on a real person then it would have sent them flying backwards.

In battle, I would use this technique to catch the opponent by surprise and/ or use it if I'm not comfortable with engaging them in CQC if say their CQC skills were higher than mine. Offensively, this technique seems cool because it can probably hit the gut of the opponent or something, adding extra pain. To defend, a raiton technique would work, as would stone armor and probably a jutsu which helps move you, like a stone pillar or gust of wind. I find this technique useful and interesting, as it is sneaky, quick, and can help buy time if you don't feel comfortable with them getting close/ need more time to prep something. Saito said.

_______________

Question: Can the stones be sent behind the opponent to launch them towards the user, or can it only be used on their front side?

I don't know which technique you're talking about. O_O

( Doton: Gizagiza no Iwajin ) - Earth Release: Jagged Rock Formation
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and stomps the ground. By doing so, he causes small fractures to rip through the ground, which will then force fragments of earth and rock to rise up from the ground like protruding rock formations to then deal blunt force damage to the opponent and raising them up into the air.

This technique requires no hand seals and only requires you to focus earth chakra in your leg. You will then stomp down onto the ground and release your earth chakra into the ground to cause the earth to fragment then use your earth chakra to push the fragments up creating blunt rock protrusions from the ground that do not stab into the opponent but do do brute physical damage. If the technique is used then you can counter it by using Nagashi as that will cause the rocks to break a part and if you channel Nagashi into a ground with a kunai or sword you can negate their earth chakra as well. You can combine with a fire technique that turns the ground beneath the opponent fiery, so you cause fiery rock protrusions to rise up giving your attack some more power.

I was talking about rising rocks
____________________

Saito listened to Madara explain the next technique to him.

Saito gathered doton chakra in his legs, then by stomping on the ground he channeled it into the earth. He sent the earth chakra through the ground until it was gathered under a clone which he created. He then sent a stream of fire along the ground to the spot where the rocks would rise up. He sent the rocks upwards, burning and making the clone "poof" but with enough force that it could have bruised the opponent badly or even broken bones.

In battle, I would use this in a sneaky sort of way because its hard to predict its coming and requires a quick response like Nagashi to prevent damage from happening. Offensively, I could use a fire tech to heat the ground to burn the opponent also. To defend, Nagashi seems the only obvious response because its impossible to predict if you don't have doujutsu or metagame (I think thats the right place for this term). I find this technique interesting and useful because its sneaky and has the potential to break bones and burn.

Pretty sure we've trained before so you know my methods :coffee:

First of all perform the Boar and Ox handseals before placing your hand on the ground. Send doton chakra through the earth around your target and cause it to break apart while spiraling inwards on your target, crushing and burying him among the rocks. The effectiveness of this technique depends on your environment and is best used when the target is surrounded by rock formations or a cave. There's a good spot.

(Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) - Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Ox → placing hand on the ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them in a mayhem of jagged rocks. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to a large area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

Next, simply condense earth around your target and create four sharp spikes that skewer your target from four different directions. Nothing new. Find your next victim.

( Doton: Dosekidake no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Earth and Stone Bamboo Shoot Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user of this technique condenses the soil and rock in the area to sprout out in the form of four large spikes which attack the target from four separate directions to make it harder to evade. However, it can be easilty avoided by escaping upwards.

For this jutsu, spit rock from your mouth that takes the of a clone that may look like you or another but without their abilities. Since the clone is made from rock it can endure physical damage and instead of disappearing when destroyed, it crumbles away. It can also perform up to C rank earth jutsu. Create a clone to protect you.

(Doton: Iwa Bunshin) - Earth Release: Rock Clone Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates their clone out of stone that he spits from his mouth. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person. They can use up to C-Rank Earth techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.
