Storyboard Mission Element:
  • Find the rift - (Custom, 3)
It had been a few hours since they had maxed their chakra reserves. The forest became so thick that they would have to cut their way through it to make a path. The biggest issue here though was the almost total lack of light making the rest of the journey a pain in the ass. The idea to just torch the entire forest inflames crossed Alucard’s mind more times than none. He had grown considerably troubled by what he thought would seem like such an easy task. He had indeed found the Rift in the Ruins of Chungsuu without any struggle. Guess he was bound to have a love/hate relationship to this Island in particular, that was his only conclusion. Regardless of his thoughts the two of them made a slow but steady process into the the heart of the Island. As a safeguard, Alucard weaved the confrontation seal and placed a special sealing tag at the inside of his hat. This particular seal would operate on movement sensory rather than straight chakra sensory which would be something useful in order to detect any potential threats out here, whatever they could be. A barrier formed around the hats viscinity stretching up to fifteen meters around it. As he put it on, he would be alerted of all kinds of movement. Through their mental bridge, Alucard spoke to Lilith.

Stay close to me and try not to make a sound.. We don’t want to alert the entire Island that we’re here. Infact, we don’t want to alert anybody that we’re here.
He molded his chakra and weaved the Tiger handseal seemingly vanish entirely from sight and smell. He used the hiding with camouflage technique in order to attain almost perfect stealth. Lilith on the other hand had no way of attaining this stealth as she couldn’t use regular Ninjutsu.

How bloody noble of you, putting me at risk while you vanish.
Lilith was considerably unhappy with this strategy.

You may be bait but i am still here with you and will take up arms for you. At this rate, if anything decides to attack you, i will be able to dissect them instantly as they won’t even know i am here.
Lilith still didn’t approve of the strategy but she couldn’t really argue against the fact that it would actually give them an upper hand. Still being bait wasn’t exactly how she had planned on going along. Judging by her visual from the previous day they should only be a few hours away from the glade she saw which hopefully would be where the Rift was located. Still, between where they were and their destination there would probably be some tangible obstacles to overcome. Suddenly Alucard would pick up movement at 12’o clock. It was moving fast and before Lilith could even react the feral beast would bloat its fangs and claws at her. It was a golden tiger, a nefarious yet exotic apex predator of the Island. Seeing as there was no threat, Alucard would let his daughter take care of the beast while he remained cloaked. The tiger rammed straight into Lilith, knocking her back two meters and pushed the air out of her lungs. She had suffered some external wounds as well but nothing she couldn’t handle. She grabbed Darkicsie, the fabled Yin sword enhanced with her Dark release and carved off the attacking tigers head as if it was made with butter and her sword being made of fire. She exhausted trying to catch her breath as the tigers eyes would have their light diminished. Blood spurted from out of its neck, painting the trees and bushes with a thick red liquid. Meanwhile, Alucard had gone on ahead, still cloaked in chakra in order to hide his presence to the best of his abilities. He had reached the glade and found the Rift in the opening. It looked just like the one from the Ruins of Chungsuu. The small catch was that he wasn’t there alone. A villager was there too, somewhat corrupted by the looks of it. She was going around in circles around the perimeter of the Rift and making some sort of sacrificial rite infront of it. Maybe she had had contact with whatever was on the other side. Alucard wasn’t sure how to approach. Did she somehow know of his presence even if he was cloaked? Was she friend of foe? His thoughts wandered off as he approached the Rift itself. His presence did not seem to do anything to the white lady nearby, she had carried on as usual it would seem. While Lilith approached from a dozen meters away it would seem like the woman reacted to a snapped twig caused by Lilith’s humble stealth. She screeched loudly and ran towards Lilith’s position while a massive spike of chakra fueled here. Alucard looked at her like a chakra bomb and decided to neutralize her before she would make contact with his daughter. Wooshing out from behind in superhuman speeds he would draw his blade and wave the edge of it around her neck while wrestling the rest of his arms around her shoulders in a firm grip. The woman looked up and then rather horrifyingly straight backwards. A movement only allowed if you’d break your own neck. Her face looked at Alucard with hollowed out eyes and bloody tears running down the greyed out eyes. With a wicked and scratchy voice she spoke to him.

Destroy.. It.. Madness will rise and spread.. The Curse!!
She then performed a suicidal move and grabbed Alucards blade with her two hands and plunged it through her throat, almost fully decapitating herself. Alucard looked down disappointed. Perhaps it was too late for him to have been able to save her. Perhaps, it was what she had wanted. Lilith then appeared from the forest head first. She was slightly bruised but had shrugged it all off. Her gaze met the Rift behind her father, for the moment, ignoring the bloody lunatic in his grasp.

..Wha.. We found it?
Alucard looked back at it. His eyes were ironed to it’s shape.

But at what cost..

Lilith then looked at the corpse that was still in her fathers grasp.

Who was that?

I don’t know.. Some lunatic dancing around the Rift. Maybe she had been inside or something, i don’t know.

Are we going then?

Yeah.

Alucard drank the blood from his blade as he dropped the deceased woman to the ground and tidied himself up snd released his camoflauge. He placed his arm around Lilith’s shoulder as he made a reach for the Rift. Whatever would happen next, who could tell.

Story Board Mission:
  • Steal an important document (3)
Description: Upon arriving at Crimson State Island, Shunsui Kyōraku aims to procure a crucial document pertaining to a secret weapon for a Client.

Shunsui Kyōraku

There was a renowned master thief named Shunsui Kyōraku who had made a name for himself in the criminal underworld. He was infamous for stealing from wealthy, influential, corrupt, evil, mysterious, and dangerous individuals. Despite the risks, he had an impeccable record of never failing a job, leaving no trace behind, and never being apprehended.

But his latest assignment was his most challenging yet. A mysterious client had hired him to retrieve a document from a heavily guarded vault on Crimision State Island, an island of criminals and rogue ninjas, and one of the last islands for surviving humans in a world ravaged by war and chaos.

According to reports, the document allegedly holds significant details about a confidential weapon capable of altering the global balance of power. However, Shunsui's main concern lies with the substantial compensation promised by his client, which would facilitate his upcoming venture.

CRIMSON STATE ISLAND - PORT

Shunsui cleverly disguised himself as a merchant and carried a suitcase full of counterfeit goods as he arrived at Crimision State Island. His objective was to infiltrate the vault situated in the island's center, which was heavily guarded and surrounded by tall walls. Shunsui had meticulously studied the vault's layout and security measures and had devised a plan to successfully infiltrate it.

While venturing around the island, His attention was immediately drawn to a conspicuous sign that stood out from the surrounding landscape. KUMIHARA. The sign indicated the presence of an impressive vault, which appeared to be impenetrable. The structure itself was a slender column that extended deep into the ground, indicating that it was intended to house something of great value and importance.

As per the client's instructions, He learned that the vault had a total of ten floors, with the elusive document he was searching for being located on the bottommost level. This information only served to heighten his curiosity and determination to uncover the secrets hidden within the vault.

Shunui exercised great patience and strategic thinking, waiting until the cover of the night to execute his plan. He skillfully leveraged the changing of the guard to his advantage, and with precision, employed his Shadow Jutsu to seamlessly merge with the shadows. His movements were calculated and deliberate as he navigated the complex and winding corridors, gradually descending deeper into the labyrinthine network of passageways. His ultimate goal was the vault door, and he was determined to reach it undetected.

Following a lengthy and arduous journey, he eventually arrived at the vault door. The door, as expected, was secured with a highly intricate combination of codes and biometrics, making it nearly impossible to breach. With the utmost care, he retrieved his suitcase from a concealed shadow portal and opened it with a practiced hand. As he flipped the lid, he revealed a mysterious device that had been given to him by his client. This device, he knew, was a top-of-the-line scanner capable of hacking into any system and bypassing even the most impregnable locks.

He attached the device to the vault door and activated it. The device scanned the door and began to crack its codes. Shunsui waited patiently, humming a tune under his breath. He knew he had only a few minutes before the device would trigger an alarm.

He heard a click, and then another, and then another. The device had unlocked the door. Shunsui smiled and opened it, entering the vault. He saw rows of shelves filled with boxes and files. He quickly scanned them, looking for the one that contained the document he was looking for.

“Ah, there it is. The document I’ve been looking for. The document that will make me rich. The document that will change the world.”

He found it on the third shelf from the left, marked with a red label. He grabbed it and opened it, checking its contents. It was indeed the document he wanted, written in a strange language that he couldn’t read. He didn’t care what it said. He only cared that it was worth a fortune.

He closed the box and put it in his suitcase, replacing it with an identical one that he had prepared beforehand. It contained a fake document that he had forged himself, using random symbols and words. He hoped that whoever owned the vault wouldn’t notice the switch until it was too late.

After closing his suitcase, he turned towards the door to leave. Suddenly, a loud siren blared, indicating that the alarm had been triggered. It appeared that someone had detected his presence and intrusion.

He cursed under his breath and rushed to the door, hoping to leave before anyone came. However, upon opening it, he was met with a sight that made his heart race: a group of guards charging toward him, armed with makeshift guns made from scientific ninja tools and swords.

“Not so fast, thief. Drop the document and put your hands up.”

After careful consideration, Shunsui realized that his only recourse was to engage in combat. He concealed the suitcase within a portal of darkness and retrieved two swords - a tachi and a wakizashi - known as Katen Kyōkotsu. With a calm and resolute tone, he uttered the words, "Flower-Heaven Bone of Madness!!" Shuisui was a highly skilled swordsman, having honed his abilities through the tutelage of various mentors over the course of many years.

As he gracefully slipped into the encompassing veil of his own shadow, it masterfully and swiftly began to circle the guards. His sudden emergence from the darkness was accompanied by the unsheathing of his swords, and with each determined slice, he dispatched any opponent who dared to draw near. His movements were marked by remarkable agility, as he effortlessly evaded both bullets and blades, gliding with poise and swiftness through the melee.

Shunsui skillfully evaded the guards, but not without causing them harm in the process. He made his way to the exit of the vault area, determined to reach the main gate of the island where his boat was docked.

He hoped that no one would follow him or alert the authorities. He hoped that he could reach his boat and sail away before anyone noticed him.

He hoped that he could deliver the document to his client and collect his reward.

As Alucard stretched out his hand, ready to be subjected to whatever would happen, his daughter shouted to him.

Wait otosan!

Alucard flinched. He looked behind him and eyed his daughter.

What in the name of god is it now..?

We’re all alone out here, these things.. we dont even know what it is. Would it be that bad of an idea to wait for other people to tell what could potentially be in store for us?

Alucard sighed to himself, while allowing his gaze to tilt towards the Ruins of Chungsuu. His Tenseigan allowed him to look far into the distance. So far infact that he could see where they had previously been, the first rift they had ever encountered. He saw two chakras he knew well, both lying lifeless next to the rift they had no doubt ventured into. Perhaps it would be best to ask them of their experience before challenging fate itself. He placed his arm on his daughters shoulder.

Daughter ’o mine. I will need a favor of you. I’ll explain on your way, for now head back to the Ruins of Chungsuu. But come back immediately..

Lilith didnt argue but was more afraid her father would end up traversing this rift by himself. Nevertheless, there were friends to help. She nodded and flapped her wings while Alucard remained.

After what felt like eons of risk and calculations inside of his mind, Alucard had decided to enter the Rift. He turned his head back one last time and looked at his daughter who stood just shortly behind him.

Here's to it all.. May the end be as epic as i imagined it would be.
He stretched out his right hand and was being transported. Lilith followed close behind.

Chichiue.. Whatever happens, i want you to know that i'll always be with you!
She followed her fathers footsteps and entered the Rift. Both of their bodies had been transported.

After several days of being unconscious, Lilith and Alucard woke up from their unparalleled defeat. Sensing nothing around him but his daughter, Alucard rose up from the ground. His skin and complexity was pale as the snow. He had been robbed of the two year old quest of ascension. Trying to take in all of the rage and madness that was clinging to his subconsciousness from his deep sleep, Alucard wasn't able to stand without compromising his balance. Leaning on his right knee he stared down at Lilith who was looking around herself, still lying on her back. It was obvious that the two of them were still roughened up, yet she put all her strength into moving her hand closer to her father. The strain was visibly so as she channeled Yang chakra through her body and into Alucard before she dozed off due to the complexity of her action. Being fully empowered now, Alucard stood up from the ground fully and stared out into the nothingness that was the world around him. Nothing mattered anymore. Except..

Bad idea, kid.. You’ll be equally blamed now.
Alucard ducked down on his knees and placed his hand on Lilith's head and channeled Yang chakra throughout him and into her as well. However, Alucard had no intentions of staying around here any longer. He had to act out on his rage before he would be consumed by it. When Lilith woke up, fully restored as well, she was alone. Alone in the dark and in the bitter sorrow she felt as she had failed keeping herself and her father safe. She rose up from the ground, dusted off her clothes and spread her wings from her back, ascending from the soil and launched herself into the sky. Desperation washed over her as she did, freezing her body temporarily before she let out the loudest scream of her life. Adrenaline pumped through her now and she followed Alucard to their next destination. Would death unravel there or would something keep him from wiping out an entire world..
