I can't imagine how someone can look at the beauty of the universe and miss the fact that neither that beauty nor the eye and brain that can comprehend and admire it, happened by accident. How foolish we really are.

If you're reading this, realize that you and I will be dead one day. Death is human reality.
Everything we have ever come to know is based purely on assumptions of what is absolute.

Humans accept what they believe as factual rather than the possibility that they are entirely wrong

The Big Bang Model of the Universe is the scientifically recognized model of how the universe began, by what agency was it caused is a matter of Theological inquiry, whether it be a Divine Agent, or a preternatural cause that has not yet been explained, it is what Stephen Jay Gould introduced as NOMA or Non Overlapping Magisteria.

I am reminded of that momentous debate Bertrand Russell had with Frederick Copelston in BBC radio back in the 1940s, Copleston, as a Thomist and Neo-Aristotelean was arguing about the origin of the universe, that a First Cause must have caused the universe's birth which itself is uncaused (an argument I remember well reading Aquinas) because a material causality that goes Ad Infinitum is a logical contradiction, Lord Russell did not engage him saying that the Universe has always been in existence, it has always been there with no beginning, Copelstone replied "Lord Russell, discussing the beginning of the universe with someone who believes it didn't have a beginning then it would be a very difficult topic to discuss wouldn't you say so?" Russell replied "Yes... very difficult... Can we switch to another topic then" reading about Cosmology and the Big Bang Theory, I always smiled and remembered that debate, if only Russell lived long enough to see that Science has proven that the Universe indeed have a beginning. *_*
