not really that only implies that jack has more stamina if they were inferior by significant margin jack would have overun them with his own power not a poison weapon

It means that he was conserving strength without going all out. Having more stamina is also a part of his overall strength. And who's to say he wouldn't be able to able to beat a duke in a straight 24 hour battle? They just didn't let the battles last long enough for them to reach a conclusion. Jack didn't receive a dent despite not taking rest for 5 whole days, that clearly is a sign of superiority.
