the haircut thing is weird because during the kyubi attack on the village madara had short hair, and shortly after when itachi got his help with the uchiha massacre he had long hair.

Madara did say he was just "a shell of his former self" which could mean that his current body is separated from his soul. Just like the soul eating gourd the Ginkaku Brothers used takes the soul but leaves the body intact.

And Madara's original body probably decayed already (due to him living so long), so maybe that's who was in that coffin Kabuto summoned that startled Madara, his YOUNGER SELF!!! lol

Well i guess, there can be two madaras
or just one madara and the other one will be Tobi...
about the hair i guess. long hair is shown for Madara and short one at present for tobi.
When madara had fought minato he had short hair and that one cant be obito(which is assumed as Tobi by many) coz obito was minato's student.
So this proves that madara is still alive and obito may be working for madara ....

Stop Sayin Tobi is Madara, that theory should've been squashed with the Fish with Konan....when she broke Madara's mask and it showed his other eye, which tobi wouldnt have cause he gave it to Kakashi and that side of his face would be messed up
