Could Rinnengan users be able to fly as themselves without any help(sumonning etc.) ?

Hi guys I would like to talk about Rinnengan users in general but with main focus on truelly Master of The Rinnengan- The Sage of six paths.

We saw Nagato in position of jumping before doing Massive Shinra Tensei in Manga but in Anime Deva Path was shown to fly, so could it be true or wrong interpretation of Manga by Animators form Pierrot Studio ?

Anyway I would like to ask you whenever you believe that Rinnengan users can fly or just Sage of six paths or noone =D

1) Could Rinnengan users in general and Sage of six paths fly as in DBZ or Onooki ?
2) Could just Sage of six paths fly as in DBZ or Onooki ?
3) Could Rinnengan users in general and Sage of six paths fly as in Naruto shippuden Anime as Pein was floating before doing Shinra Tensei?
4) Could just Sage of six paths fly as in in Naruto shippuden Anime as Pein was floating before doing Shinra Tensei ?

Any shinobi who has good mastery of the rinnengan should be able to. After one o the powers includes the control of gravity, that's enough power to make one fly or not

Well the sage of six paths is in silhouette form, so you don't know the enviroment exactly, but nagato can't fly without his summonings.

He can descent to one spot in the air just for big scale shrina tensei, he hasn't been aable to fly at whim like oonoki can, but with the sage of six path i wouldn't doubt him flying anywhere he wants.

They can probably use The Almighty Push to make themselves fly.

Questions are repetitive but one theory could be that they shinra tensei themselves off the ground at a constant rate which produces the "flying/floating" effect. Moreover, it is very probable that all rinnegan users can preform this.

If he can control gravity & repulsion forces then that means he can make the gravity around himself zero & repel off of the ground, this would result in the levitation that deva path showed us.

^^ Yeah I agree with The Nagato's case that he can't fly but Sage of six paths may fly at whim as you said whenever he wants like in DBZ

Onoki can fly by making himself lighter but I'm not sure how he is able to navigate. I think Rinnegan users can fly but it might drain their chakra constantly if they do so while Onoki just uses his technique to make himself lighter once as shown when he did the same to Akatsuchi and Kurotsuchi.

^^ Yeah I think same, that it could requires a lot of chakra and perfect control of chakra as well, so only the most powerfull and masters of Rinnengan could use it

Yeah. When deva path left Tsunade to nuke the village he was flying initially to reach that spot above the city then levitated when he did shinra tensei.

There is no reason to believe that Nagato cannot move around in the air by using Deva path to control gravity, or by using his chakra to shunshin around while levitatiny

Rinnegan users where said to be able to create new justus just by thnking of them, but it still takes practice.

They all have the ability to fly, but not all can use it.
The Rinnegan is like Microsoft, and every slight ability costs chakra. So it costs chakra to fly.

As others have said, he can levitate. Though, it's very doubtful that they can fly like Oonki can let alone characters from Dragonball. Theoretically, it's possible but still doubtful.
