[Discussion] Could Post-Skip Luffy had been able to save Ace?

I say it's about 50-50 it would depend on what actions he would take considering his skills would be improved by a lot.

Conqueror haki works on those who have a weak mind, the soldiers in marinford all where mostly commander or even captain rank and above, he would have never been able to knock down 50.000 of them, and to remind you, luffy did use conqueror haki in that battle (by accident) and he only managed to knock down a few of them.
Honestly all luffy could have done with his current streanght back then would have been to do some blows to the stronger enemies and probably anticipate the blow from akainu and either move ace out of the way or block the punch with his body aka sacraficing himself.

And all in all, it was Aces fault that he is to proud to ignore those words from akainu.

Yeah, but even if he used it by accident at the marine ford,he still managed to knock out a decent amount, then he learns to control it and uses it again in the fish island plaza, he woulda still knocked out a bunch of fodder soldiers....

Just look at it this way, before time skip, luffy could not scratch a pacifista, AFTER the skip, he can 1 hit KO a pacifista...

He was lucky to survive the first time. If he went through the same thing again he might be able to beat some of those vice admirals but he wouldn't be able to do much against admirals except defend himself for a while. If Ace went to face Akainu again then maybe Luffy could help but I don't think they could stop him. Whitebeards two commanders couldn't take down Akainu with haki.

No...Ace would have died anyway the reason Ace died was due to his pride.

Luffy probably wouldn't have been injured to the point where he would need Iva to help him back up.

It all depends on whether Ace would be the same hothead and confront Akainu. Ace was actually saved, but he made the mistake of doing that. Actually, if Luffy came to Marineford with his current strength, he would probably be targeted much sooner. But at the same time, he would be able to dish out more pain, too. And that would also open up the rest of the allies to be able to do more stuff. So I think Ace would be able to be saved, but maybe at the expense of Luffy's own life.
