Could Minato mark Itachi?

Itachi stopped the machine gun equivalent of Kunai thrown at him from feet away by hitting each one with Kunai. He also managed to blind all of Nagato's summons with Kunai all at once before they seen them coming. I don't think Minato would be able to get close enough.

Minato Wouldn't Throw The Kunai DIRECTLY At him. That would be too Obvious and Easy To Deflect. He would Scatter them Around Itachi. And he would not know Which Kunai Minato Would use To Teleport Regardless of The Sharingan. Meaning If he uses the Correct Strategy to Blindsight Itachi, He possibly could Mark him.

If we say the same about Itachi than Itachi might get marked too.

Difference between Obito and Itachi is that Obito phased through the Shuriken and Itachi would most likely counter it just like he did with Sasuke's shuriken.

So if he does that, it would be hard for Minato to get close.

yep he should be able to. The sharingan doesn't have 360 degree vision like the byakugan so there's no way itachi is going to keep track of all the seals unless they are all in his LoS.

Sure he can deflect minato's kunai with his shuriken and kunai skills, but minato just picks his kunai up and throws them again, itachi can't do that since if he gets close to the seal he'll get blitzed.

susanoo doesn't help all that much. Sure it puts a layer between itachi and minato, but it can get warped away and it rapidly drains itachi's chakras which means he's protected for as long as he can hold susanoo out for.

Finally, minato can use kagebunshins to help spread his kunai and tag stuff, I don't see how itachi wins this other than counterattacking minato which is something doubtful considering minato could blitz obito before he could even use his intangibility, a jutsu that is pretty much activated by thought.

Well going with the logic minato has summons which r larger than ms users susanoo.also he was able to master SM thus massive chakra reserve.Speed feat is him stopping kakashi from killing obito and saving baby naruto from obito[without FTG].
Itachi will be in disadvantage imo.

1. Tags cannot be put on spiritual beings like Susanoo
2. Susanoo cannot be blitzed, at least Itachi's.

He was fast enough to counter a f*****g thunderbolt from Sasuke's chidori, lightning speed.

If minato tries to throw a kunai he will just get pushed back by Yata like what happened to Sausage's kunai.

The moment you look into his eyes(like Minato did) you are trapped in a genjutsu. Sounds like a blitz to me. It doesnt matter if FTG is faster than activation of genjutsu, He simply wont see the genjutsu coming.
