Itachi can definitely do it too and place kurama under his genjutsu while minato is struggling to break it, or as fugaku said,he can even control kyuubi :sdo:and to do so,he doesn't even need to look through minato :sdo3:

You're using the word "only" as if it was stated that only this can break free of it. NO NO NO only sasuke with 3+ tomoe broke free maybe because Itachi let him out otherwise there is no further evidence of being able to or not being able to break out! You're letting fanboyism take over you!

Guy knew how to counter sharingan jutsu, just not look at Itachi! You think a Hokage like Minato would be stupid enough to eye stare a uchiha like Itachi? Even Onoi knew not look in Madara's eyes, it's common knowledge!

Plus, he doesn't need eyes he's sensory skills are top notch, add sage mode to that!
