OP: There are two schools of thought on this.

School 1:
Susano'o is activated by unlocking the MS skills of each eye (left and right)

School 2(Which I agree with):
Susano'o is activated by unlocking the MS skills Amaterasu and Tsukyomi.

The confusion comes from Itachi's explanation to Sasuke. Itachi had Amaterasu and Tsukyomi and when describing it said you need to unlock MS skills in both eyes. Some interpret this as his tech's specifically and others believe he meant MS skills regardless. Madara planned on doing Infinite Tsukyomi so it stands to reason that he has the ability of Tsukyomi. He's also the strongest Uchiha in history until Sasuke is shown to surpass him so it also stands to reason that he possesses the strongest Katon technique aka Amaterasu.

The Third Databook states that in order to awaken the Susano'o, one must be able to use the Amaterasu and the Tsukuyomi. If we go by this, then theoretically, he should be able to use it, but seeing as he hasn't used it yet, even when faced against someone like Hashi [As far as we know], I'd say that it's fairly safe to assume that he can't use it, or to at least assume that he's not too proficient with it.

not really three ms user have susanoo right? is that someone own unique jutsu ? no. point been whether you guys like it or not it has been stated in the manga and databook that amaterasu and tsukuyomi is required from to obtain susanoo.

Personally I do believe one needs Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi for Susanoo

I mean all three are sibling gods in Shintoism born from Izanagi, Susanoo was born last after Izanagi washed out both his eyes and birthed Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi....so it makes sense for one to possess Tsukyomi and Amaterasu since they get susanoo last

Also Madara is supposed to be the "greatest" or "father" of the Uchiha, so it just seems right for him to possess those powers

Both Itachi and Sasuke used Amatersu along with Tsukuyomi in order to use Susanoo. To say Madara doesn't have them because he hasn't shown them is not plausible.

I would follow what manga and Databook said. Madara has Amatersu.
