Could Itachi solo Konoha?

Add Danzo, Root (about half of Konoha's strong ninja work under the shadows), Tsunade, Shukaku, Chouza, Guy, Kakashi, and everybody else to the mix...at once. Or planned out- then Itachi will be overwhelmed.

I think Danzō and Kakashi are the only individuals who pose a real threat to Itachi out of this list. And since Itachi can control multiple people from a distance, he can complicate the attack on the village even more than Pain did. Instead of six foreign invaders, there would be many more *Leaf ninja* turning on one another. The chaos would be insane. And if Kabuto and Itachi thought Itachi could control even Kabuto, then practically nobody is off limits if he lands his strongest illusions. That means ninja with highly destructive jutsu like Gai could potentially wreck the village at Itachi whim if he tricked them into genjutsu (highly possible.)

That's more along the lines of hype than feats. Itachi has never done anything like that to a ninja. He only mind controlled bimbos to fool jman.(it didn't even work) The sheer numbers is too much for itachi's low chakra reserves. Quite frankly danzo could make itachi kill himself via ka.

Sure Itachi may have enough chakra to burn down a forest but even that took time. During the time the flames are spreading, sealing units could just seal away the flames. Not to mention that Temari in part one can also destroy a forest but she has no chance at destroying Konoha.

Quite frankly, Itachi doesn't have the stamina, nor the raw fire power to overwhelm a village. Itachi can only control one or few people at max with genjutsu and sensory units can detect irregularities in chakra flow so they can be broke out of genjutsu.
