The major difference between Karin is Sasuke is the depths of the relationships.

+ Sakura was there when Sasuke was emotionally vulnerable and open about his feelings to a degree. Sakura got to see the Sasuke who wasn't entirely cold and who even had second thoughts about seeking revenge but most of all they connected before he departed.

I'm a nutshell: Sakura saw his potential of being a good person.

- Karin always approached Sasuke sexually and he never responded to any of her advances with a speck of intimacy. Now did she genuinely care about Sasuke and his well being? Yes but in all honesty Sasuke never showed Karin the side of him that Sakura saw.

More importantly: Sasuke referenced Sakura & the rest of team 7 with his family on his mini panels of self-thought. Meaning he may never had romance for Sakura but he did see her as family (the love factor was there) and the romance came later.

I see where youre getting at but still there are some holes.

In part 1, sasuke qas really obsessed about killing itachi. Thats his dark phase. He was stone cold dark.

In part 2, he is confused and wishes to learn more about his existance as he finds more light about the reason why itachi did what he did.

In other words, he was crazy rather than an immature would be murderer.

Sakura and karin are just plain thirsty. They never cared about sasuke's well being (dont even deny that). They do so out of their selfish sexual desires (thanks kishi for ruining female chars with your fantasies).

So in order to summarize, sakura was dead weight to sasuke as she gets in trouble over her chasing after him and almost gets her entire team dead. Multiple instances. Hence people calling her a fodder.

Karin doesnt have much to go on but at least she wasnt useless, she doesnt get her team in trouble and put everyone at risk. She respects sasuke for who he really is (cuz you know, hes team leader and all) unlike sakura who sees him as her fantasy mate.

Sasuke's never really hated karin as she was just really in the way of him killing danzo.

Before you go on saying im biased and prefer karin, im not. Im stating facts and you are free to debunk anything you dont agree with me as long as you make it a hard enough case. But thats the reason why i ship the karin and sasuke. Not because of genes or something stupid like that but because they had more story, more build up, more content and context than he had with sakura.

Sakura's relationship with sasuke was more like hit and run (literally at that too) while sasuke was tied to karin.

Saying team 7 was his family is not an excuse, it actually shows that he cares about her even more.

Kishi did say he had plans for pairings, he said he goes with the flow on how they would happen, but the decision was made early on, and this was consistent with several other interviews one of them in which the VAs stated that Kishi revealed that Sasuke and Sakura would end up together since the start of the anime serialization. Lol, Kishi used the word love for Sakura -> Sasuke more so than any other character in interviews, databooks, and the manga itself, and you only jump on the one time he used another word while laughing, it really shows how much you are grasping at strings here, you should get over it already. :lol
