Hey guys can someone with sharingan copy any jutsu (except kekkei genkai and special abilities)? What I mean is that for example there is a jutsu that uses too much chakra or is not your chakra type, can u copy it? (I really doubt the latter). So guys give me your opinions, and if u have any reference from the manga about this please dont refrain from doing so.

what do you mean by "uses too much chakra" if you mean the technique uses more chakra than the person has in his/her possession then no they can not perform it as it would kill them to do so, and also a person with a sharingan can not copy jutsu which are of a nature type that they can not use.

what do you mean by chakra type?. i think its very posible for the jutsu to not be your element and still be able to use it , kakashi is a good example.

Both Chakra Nature and Chakra Reserves matter(Reserves being the amount of chakra the user can call on before he dies.) This is shown with Kakashi, he has been shown with the ability to use, Raiton (Lightning Release), Doton (Earth Release), Suiton (Water Release), and in the anime Katon (Fire Release), but he cannot use Fuuton (Wind Release) as he can't produce the chakra needed to use it. As for Chakra Reserves simply if the Ninja doesn't have enough chakra to complete the jutsu basically he can't use it unless he wants to risk dying and possibly messing up the tech.
In the Narutobase rp we have it set up so that each person can learn all the elements. Thus in the rp sharingan can copy any jutsu it sees except that of a Kekki Genkai. I never seen this actually done I've seen jutsu copied but not copied without prior training in that jutsu.

It is quoted from Narutopedia, "In order to reproduce a copied technique, however, one must have the necessary skill or ability to perform them." I believe this implies that you can't do a move that has a nature to do a nature-based move.

i beleive nature type does matter it makes the techniques harder to use
which is the main reason kakashi gets so much repsect he mastered all elements and can use them all effieciently

the way i think the copying jutsu goes is that you need the chakra levels but you dont need the nature as your only copying and just because one can use a copyied water tech doesnt mean they can use other water jutsu i think that's how it works

The sharingan can copy any kind of jutsu it doesnt matters the nature of it kakashi can do the rasengan the water dragon jutsu and many others.....

If someone tries to do a jutsu they dont have enough chakra for, it simply wont happen. They wont die unless they try force it to come through, but it just wont actually come forth. mechanics are hard to explain but the chkra is actually taken untill it become physical.

Rasengan is chakra based unless infused with elemental chakra (Meaning anyone with sufficent chakra control can use it.) Konohamaru can use it and the most he has been shown to use is Fire based chakra. .-. Kakashi can use Lightning, Earth, Water and in the anime Fire. He has never used a Wind based jutsu ever.
