WORST COPOUT. sorely disappointed.

How did Obito lose? I call BS. In every category, Obito is superior. He could have just dodged that attack with his Mach 1000 speeds and 1 nanosecond reaction speed. And why didn't he use a TBB? It's clear that if even one of those went off on land, it would usher in a new ice age. I don't care if Sasuke has PS. PS isn't surviving Obito's TBB, no way.

Conclusion, Obito let them win. Even if it is on a subconcious level, this sucks. The worst/sloppy use of plot ever. Kishi made the main villain too strong and now he's using a copout? At least DBZ's Kid Buu was taken out in a legit way, albeit spirt bomb is kinda cheap. Oh well. There's no fixing this now.

I was expecting some new badass Jutsu, or perhaps Naruto ascending to Rikudo levels. Crazy fight on the moon. etc. Instead, I got nothing new. I didn't even get to see what the Sage's sword could do.

Well you know what they say about the power of friendship...

Really though obitos whole motives were sketchy to begin with if you really think about it. Now madara on the other hand is just a psycho.

Most of Obitos chakra was concentrated on making that flower bloom so it's quite likely that a massive chunk of his offensive capability had been sacrificed. I do agree though that he subconsciously decided to lose but there is at least a legit reason he started sucking.

Not legit at all. Kishi didn't wanna put the time to find a good end to Obito. He went with the easiest solution possible. That is what's so disppointing.

Can you tell a logical reason of why Obito wouldn't be defeated in the way he is being defeated right now? I don't want a biased opinion, I want a supported one, with a logical reasoning.

He could be defeated in any number of ways. All of which is logical. Heck, Kishi could make Obito roll over from a random disease. All of these are logically coherent. Logic isn't good enough. It's just the minimum require for something not to be complete crap. We need more, we need substance.

Obito should be defeated in a tactical manner so that things would be climactic. Climax is good, especially in this particular genre. Secondly, we could still tie up loose ends with the customary TNJ after the defeat. Though a complete 180 turn from Obito would still be sorely disappointing as that would be unrealistic and also represent a lack of respect any true villain deserves.

I just hope Madara saves this pity war.

Obito has been holding back since his rinnegan power up.

His not a villain, just a boy who lost his girlfriend and wants her back no matter what, sad really.

You'd rather see a cliche of Obito just surviving yet again and come up with another jutsu? That was getting too repetitive and predictable.

I know where do you come from. I think the reason of why Kishi used this resource to defeat Obito (not confirmed as a definitive defeat) is that he made Obito way too strong... it can't be handled by force. That's the great mistake.

No, I wanna see Naruto go Rikudo on Obito's ass, and shatter up the landscape a bit before the party ends. I wanna see Obito get slammed, and pummeled just like what Goku did to Frizea after going SS. Then, on Obito's deathbed, we can have the TNJ and flashbacks and so on.

I always thought that the solution to that would be for Naruto to transcend to the next S06P. Kishi kept foreshadowing Naruto as Hagoromo's reincarnation. Well..., that idea has been flushed down the toilet. Kishi trolled us all.

We all knew it was coming, I don't know why your so surprised. Albeit, it is bull. I'm just glad the story stopped progressing at a snails pace. Count your blessings kids.

What have you been reading, someone as powerful as Obito could have if he desired destroyed everything a long time ago

You have failed to realise, he is not ''Evil'' in the traditional sense, he feels that his way of thinking is completely justified.
However throughout the manga he has shown some hesitation towards Naruto in particular, look back before the war, when Nauto defeated pain, and Obito visited him in the Land of Iron before the Kage summit.
Obito was genuinally intrigued as to how a kid like Naruto could change Nagato's and Konan's mind, as they too knew despair like Obito and had no way out of it besides Infinite Tsukyomi.

My point being, from then, his resolve has been chipping away, to the point where he has lost now.

If you want to look at it from a physical aspect, he has been battling [bar madara and hashi] the strongest collection of shinobi in the Naruto-verse, all while attempting controlling the thing that chakra originates from, that in itself gives a plausible answer as to why he was defeated.

You imply that even if he keeled over from disease it would be logical, but i assume, [and not i said assume], you would complain that was a copout too.

The story is entirely cohesive, made perfect sense, and was done in a way that satisfies the rule of the narutoverse

of course you are entitled to your opinion

I've never said that it didn't make sense. I've said that it's not satisfying. There's a big difference. About the disease example, I think you misunderstand. The disease example could easily be used in a logical way that makes physical sense. However, it would be unsatisfying and completely unrelated to the overall theme. So, yes, that would be a copout, an even worse one at that.

What I am saying is that if Kishi chose to go the route that's anticlimactic, then why all the power ups and constant foreshadowing of Naruto as Rikudo's rebirth? Such a style is very DBZ like with constant one-upances and thus necessitates one final epic battle to take down Obito.

Even if Obito losing resolve was the reason for his defeat, the fight could have been made better, for the sake of action.

Finally, Obito defeated solely though a lack of resolve is bad because it doesn't address the main issue. The main issue is that Obito's idea is wrong, and thus deserves punishment. Him not having the resolve to go through with it has nothing to deal with wether he deserves punishment or not. Him being defeated in this manner implies that had Obito been totally devoted, the world would end and Obito would go unpunished. That is not a good take away message.

Maybe it might have been better for him lose resolve after seeing everyone else flashbacks, instead of just his own. Have him lose hope in his plan after understanding others a bit more. It would make more philosophical sense and practical sense.

Has he not just been sliced in Half, and his core power taken from him, all that amongst realizing he completely went to the furthest path he should have been on, [which ultimately would have let down RIN as she gave her life for the leaf]

The constant power ups and the shadowing of Naruto as the sage is still more than viable as the more menacing, [albeit not my favourite], villain is still present, Madara.

I get what you are saying in terms of the explosive showdown many people want, bt then hasn't Kishi been leaning us towards this route for a long time, it would not be in line with the events of the Manga.

[my assumptions] From now, i believe Madara will step in and start the final explosive showdown, whether or not Naruto 'meets' the sage, or finally becomes the Jinchuuriki of the ten tails, or as such is unknown.

But i think kishi did a masterstroke with Obito, easily the most interesting character and i feel that once this manga is over, and it is able to be looked at in one stroke, it will stand out as such

Nah dude, Kishi trolled YOU. It makes plenty of sense that Obito used the bulk of his power to make the God tree bloom. Like it or not the God tree IS a chakra consuming technique and that explains why naruto and Sasuke are back on par and apparently stronger than him. It is a shame though that we didn't get the dbz style fight but that's being saved up for madara.

obito thought he was something he was not ... he's a fake a phony ... he never was evil ... madara just made him that way... madara is the true bad guy ... it's all his idea... so no obito did not let himself lose its more like he wasnt ready for the fight from the begining ... his will if fire has been burnt out for years.

I think Obito will eventually save someone from being killed by Madara, thus redeeming himself and also dying at the same time, as punishment for all his crimes.

Then Naruto would be too powerful, and you lose out on the Sasuke rivalry. Naruto wasn't supposed to be the next So6P in power, but in spirit. He was to take up the path the sage didn't travel and bring true peace and this cannot be done with overwhelming power. That is the whole point of these last few chapters.

This manga has NEVER been about punishing evil. Going all the way back to Zabuza... this manga has always been about changing the heart of the enemy. Finding the light within the darkness and making a real change.
