Controversial opinion about Tobirama and Minato

This is my opinion. Some of you might disagree, say I am wrong, downrep me, say I am not serious, insult me. I would prefer you taking it seriously and reply why you believe I am wrong because I am certain there will be many people who will disagree.

According to official Viz translation, Tobirama praised Minato, saying he is better at teleporting than Tobirama.

There were different translations that were not official. So some fans decided Tobirama praised Minato's speed, others decided Tobirama praised Minato's use of Hiraishin. By doing so, Minato fans got the best from both Worlds.

I believe Tobirama was reffering to Minato's use of Hiraishin. The reasons for that are the fact that Minato used it when he came to battlefield, has more marked Kunai and can teleport many people at the same time.

But this also means Tobirama did not say Minato is faster than him. They both praised each other's speed.

Madara admitted Tobirama was the fastest when they were alive. Minato was the fastest during his time.

This means they are both incredibly fast. Both were the fastest during their time. One would assume Minato is faster because of his reputation. But one would also assume Minato created Hiraishin because of his reputation. And many probably did assume so until it was confirmed Minato did not invent Hiraishin. So, relying on Minato's trademark being speed does not mean he is faster than Tobirama.

In my opinion, Tobirama is faster than Minato, while Minato can use Hiraishin better. I believe Tobirama has shown to be faster because he kept up with Minato who had Bijuu mode. He also saved Minato before Minato managed to escape. And he marked Obito and put many explosive tags on him. I believe Tobirama has shown greater speed and reactions than Minato.

"Teleporting" almost always refers to Shunshin in the manga, which is foot speed. Space-Time refers to true teleportation.

I get what you mean but technically ftg is not instant. Juubito managed to take off minato's arm just as minato was teleporting and that proves it isn't instant. Like I said I do know what you mean pertaining to the thread topic. Ftg speed is the same no matter who uses it but minato is more efficient.

I have to disagree with you. Minato and Tobirama are around the same level. What one doesnt have in jutsu he makes up in another kind. Minato has rasengan while Tobirama has suiton and his other jutsu.

Minato may seem faster but Tobirama was outspeeding him and was shown to be more intelligent on the battlefield as well.

I think Minato is faster and he mastered Ftg more than Tobirama because of the ftg kunai he uses.

But Tobiramas was more versatile. He could teleport people without touching them, but Minato could teleport more people

But considering Minato's Hiraishin seems better and that Tobirama used words "better than me at teleporting" instead of "faster than me" I assume he was talking about Hiraishin. Also, if base Minato was faster than him than Bijuu mode Minato should have been far above Tobirama's level of speed.

Tobirama did not seem more intelligent than minato. They both contributed to the effort to stop obito and madara but minato did way more. Minato analyzed and participated and saved naruto and sasuke a few times while tobirama set back and really didn't do much other than try and help after the rest figured out what works like sm and then tobirama became useful.

They both did, but Tobirama contributed more to the ninja world as a whole. Helped create the current ninja system, ninja academy, police force, village structure. Of course he also did wrong by ostracizing the Uchiha and edo tensei, but he contributed way more than Minato
