Right okay, so to complete this training I'll continue the method of training that Lili so wonderfully used, but with a slight difference in one factor. I'll explain this to you when it comes to it. For now, just go ahead and read through the jutsu list for method three (as Lili posted it) and let me know if you have any questions.

(Fūton: Sensougouheki) - Wind Release: Rumbling wind wall

This is an example of a vortex being used to push back instead of merely slashing. It requires no handseals, it's produced from your hand. It introduces a new counter to tags, as now you can use the knowledge that, if the tags get destroyed, they explode (Adding to the knowledge that if they get wet, they're neutralized, and if they get burned, they explode faster). Of course, in such close range, it means it's a bad counter against thrown projectiles with paper tags attached.

Creates several, up to 4, small tornados. No handseals, it's produced from your body (swinging arms, spat). It mentions a combination with a specific fire jutsu, but it can technically be combined with anything up to 1 rank bellow it's rank. If used correctly, it can even be combined with something of it's rank, including Fire jutsu. This is based on the fact that, if the elements follow the same path (imagine they're both vortex spinning in the same direction), and especially if they're molded to fit each other (both shot by you, carefully), the elements will aid one another.

Shoots a vortex of wind towards your opponent. It's more of a pushing vortex than a slashing vortex. It requires 3 handseals and it's materialized from the air short range from you. It's another type of combination, similar to the one talked above.

This starts out as a normal stream of wind, but when it connects with something, it inverts on itself and continues on as a whirlwind, if the thing it connected is intangible enough, like wind, then that said thing is wrapped on the whirlwind and continues forward. If not, it will simply stand still and the wind will wrap around it. No handseals.

Description: The user delievers a punch that releases a giant, adaptable whirlwind.

A vortex of wind you shoot from your fist. This is the no1 technique used to avoid stuff, because it can be shot towards the ground and propel you in the direction you want with the recoil of the jutsu. It's very fast, and one the main techniques used to get out of the way of others. It works well with something like Swamp of the Underworld, earth spikes, pillars, etc, but it doesn't work well with wide ranged techniques, and even the swamp, unless you give an additional counter, you'll just end up going back at it. It is said it works poorly with Ant-Lion, since the loose debris would absorb the recoil of the wind. I disagree, but it is controversial.

This is a great jutsu not only because of the magnitude, but because of how it is created. Since it comes from the sky, it can be used against your opponent's rain techniques, like Chakra sensing rain, claiming the tornado sucks the clouds and the rain, preventing it to reach you. Also, if it sucks the rain, it means it's a 2 elemental combination, and you can even charge the water with lightning, quickly making a 3 elemental combination. This means it's a great counter to Rain technique up to it's rank, stopping rain techniques completely, one rank bellow it.

this is an example of a vortex used for it's drilling properties. Since the vortex converges on on sharp spots, it's perfect to impale your opponents. You need to perform handseals. 3 seems to be the norm with these jutsus, so 3 it is.

For Great cutting Whirlwind, Lili described it as any direction. So can I spit out the vortex but have it change direction so it moves behind me to hit a target?

No, the whirlwind travels straight. What she meant is that once metarialised, the whirlwind can be made to move in any direction. So, you form the whirlwind in front of you, and then tell it to go left.

Perform a three technique combination using at least one of the wind jutsu from method three (as you would in a NW/BA fight). You may use any other elements you have learned in this drill.

Then, in the same post, defend from your own combination using at least one of the method three wind jutsu. Separate the attack and defence by spoilers.

I like this.

Attack:
Medusa focuses wind chakra into her lungs and breathes outward releasing a large vortex of wind traveling in a straight line. The wind vortex was shot to the left of the opponent. Once in close enough range, Medusa changes the direction of the vortex so that is travels to the right. This would leave the opponent with little time to react to the wind jutsu. For further damage, Medusa forms 2 handseals and slams her hands on the ground causing the ground underneath the enemy to cave in a spiral in towards itself. The opponent is now trapped from the bottom which gets rid of the movement of the legs making it easier for the vortex to hit its mark.

Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Ox → placing hand on the ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to the area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

Defense:
With the vortex coming from the right, Medusa releases a current of wind from her mouth. The current collides with the vortex of wind. The winds of the vortex collapse in on themselves while maintaining shape and force. This would reverse the direction of the wind jutsu(from right to left) so it completely misses her. Meanwhile, water chakra is focused under Medusa as the earth begins to spiral downward. A pillar of water launches her up into the air. Medusa channels lightning chakra into her mouth and fires out a large spear of lightning that drags across the ground and hits the enemy.

Descripton: The user after performing the hand seal snake emits lightning in the shape of a spear from their hands whilst kakuzu lightning mask emits it from its mouth, which then pierces the enemy. Its destructive power is great enough to even pierce through rock; meaning it has a high killing potential. The user can increase the number of spears to attack multiple enemies. This, coupled with the sheer speed of the lightning, makes it a difficult technique to evade. This strong attack can be defended against by an equally strong attack of the same element such as Raikiri.

Overall, it's a decent first attempt considering you've never used this training method before, however, there are issues with both your moves.

Firstly, you changed the direction of the cutting whirlwind after it had been shot, which I stated earlier was not possible. Once you pick a direction, the wind goes that way. Be sure to remember that in the future.

As for your defense, the first part (using wind return) was correct, if not a little boring xD
The main issue was your counter of the earth jutsu. Earth is stronger than water in the table of elements, so with a C-rank earth jutsu in progress beneath your feet, when you try to manipulate that same ground with a C-Rank water technique nothing happens. The C-rank earth chakra overpowers the water chakra, leaving your jutsu ineffective.

The thought behind the counter was good, and actually very similar to something I would have come up with myself (being a water lover), unfortunately, it doesn't work.

Do you understand?

Please try again using different wind techniques. And please also attack with 3 techniques this time and not two.

Attack: (Sorry for the crappiness of the move. Writers block @__@)
Medusa performs 3 handseals and inhales deeply. As she inhales, she creates wind chakra and stores it in the cheeks of her mouth. Medusa then exhales. This releases a large vortex of wind unlike most vortexes this techniques lays flat or horizontally. This allows the bottom of the vortex to be used to impale the enemy. Immediately after the release of the wind technique, Medusa focuses her wind chakra into the sky and causes the formation of a F-5 tornado. As the wind bullet approaches, the tornado descends down upon target. However, the assault is not done yet. Medusa causes a large sum of water to come around the enemy. The water comes from all directions and forms an orb around the opponent. The orb of water restricts the movement of the opponent while the two techniques are coming.

Defense:
As the wind bullet approaches Medusa, She focuses fire chakra into her lungs and exhales a large fire ball towards the drilling wind vortex. Once they collide, the ball of flames overtakes the vortex of wind. Due to elemental weaknesses and strengths the fire jutsu and it continues on towards the opponent. As of now the F-5 tornado is descending upon Medusa, She focuses earth chakra into her mouth and spews out a large chunk of earth that shapes itself into a large stone golem. The stone golem crouches and covers Medusa from the top so that the golem can take the full force of the jutsu while leaving Medusa safe. The water starts to come up around Medusa, using her instinct Medusa turns 180 degrees and focuses wind chakra into her fist. She punches forward and releases a large whirlwind to hit the chest of the golem. The recoil of the whirlwind forces Medusa out of the way of the incoming water jutsu. Medusa then lands safely.

Better! Their are no underlying faults in your move,just be careful with the description in your defense next time. The move itself was fine but using hurricane fist against the golems chest to push yourself away would require you to give some indication of where you're going. Also, keep in your head that once you begin channeling the wind chakra, you can no longer control the golem, it becomes a mere rock formation.

Description: Rasengan doesn't require handseals, only molding of the chakra. The user focuses and creates a fast, rotating sphere of chakra in the palm of their hand which can cause much destructive impact. A direct Rasengan hit can be lethal but the user needs to actually physically hit the opponent for it to work.

For this next one, you need to have learnt the ninjutsu variation before you can use it.

Wind Rasengan! Rasengan is a high concentration of wind chakra condensed into an orb in your hand. The chakra forming the orb is made to spin maniacally. The result is an orb of wind with great destructive capabilities, it is able to drill through pretty much anything, making a clean hole, and then blast outwards causing further damage. The added wind chakra gives the spinning sphere of chakra a cutting effect, making it a powerful weapon against human flesh.

Same as above, but bigger, much bigger. The sharpness and speed will be significantly greater. When it hits, in addition to the big blast from the condensed chakra, it will also cut the target at a microscopic level. As such, the effects of this technique go as deep as liming the opponents abilities to mould chakra.

Bear in mind, this can only be thrown in sage mode. Outside of that, it is just like an ordinary Rasengan.

Examine the techniques closely and ask any questions you may have now.

For the Wind Rasengan, what is the point of it really? There is a elemental rasengan jutsu where you can put the chakra of any element into it. Why would we need a specific wind variant?

I'm honestly not sure, I know fire has its own Rasengan as well though. I assume that it may be something to do with the order the techniques were released. My best guess would be that the wind Rasengan was created first due to Naruto learning it. Then they introduced elemental Rasengan after and decided not to remove the wind one...

As I said though, I'm not sure xD

Medusa creates a clone and it transforms itself into a kunai. Medusa throws the "kunai" towards the opponent at high speeds. Once the kunai comes in close range of the opponent, it morphs back into a full bodied clone. Immediately, the clone focuses rotating chakra into her had. Using wind manipulation, the rasengan starts to get a discus around itself. This discus is comprised of slicing and thing wind chakra. Medusa #2 slams it into the enemy causing the chakra within the rasenshuriken to be released. This results in a large dome of wind slicing the opponent on a microscopic level.

I liked the attack a lot, nice use of the clone to avoid recoil from your own technique.

The defense however, as you put it, lacked effort (which I can't say I'm happy about). And as far as I can tell, it wouldn't work as described anyway. In order for you to connect with the kick, the clone would have to be within CQC range, at which point it would have the Rasen Shuriken in it's hand. All it needs to do is make an arm movement and you get hit.

Create the defence again when you are less 'busy'.
