How were Madara and First Hokage friends when they were younger if through Time Uchiha were always fighting the Senju due to enemy clans hiring them constantly against one another. I thought they didnt become friends until after all the fighting(When they were adults)

It was never stated that that was hashirama he just said im your rival xd it could be anyone U_U though considering hashirama was telling a story maybe it jumped back to Obito and madara and madara is having a flash back of his past?

Most likely this. Probably didn't even realize it....and probably will end up with some sort of "we hung out for a while before realizing we were enemies" and then they tried to be friends, but Izuna died. Then he had corrupted love and simply hated Hashirama

From what i understand, they both clans were still of the Leaf. ... well.. i dunno Lol i see ur point.
Well Tobi said AFTER the first Oldest son lost to the Younger son the fighting began for generations upon generations and those clans later became Uchiha and Senju. Everything in the series thus far as stated that uchiha and senju have been at war since the SO6P died. I guess the only way kishi can make it out of this hole he digging himself in is by there parents forbidding them from knowing one another.

Depends on where he takes this flashback. You have to remember during the warring states era clans did move around so it's possible both were nomads before they gained a rep for battle.
