It wasn't because Kaskashi simply didn't like Rasengan. The reason was that he couldn't combine it with his elemental chakra. Doing that is beyond any class level, i.e. impossible unless you can train with 2,000 clones for weeks to get enough experience. Naruto is unlikely to really use Rasengan as much more than a jab now that he's got other stuff in his arsenal including much improved Rasengans.

I'm not happy about it, but there's nothing I can do either, cuz I'm not going to stop reading. Whoever wrote that Naruto vs. Konohamaru=> one dead kid was hilarious. I'm sorry, but maybe they'll fight in the chuunin exams with the result of Naruto accidently killing him with fuuton Rasengan.

If Konohamaru actually defeats a body, one which has killed chuunin/jounin, I don't want to hear it. He could know some ultimate jutsu, but just no.

Maybe Pein will punch him in the stomach and give him a Kleenex for his nose.:no_ignore:

I never mentioned kakashi adding elements, i simply meant that standard rasengan which kakashi can do, and he never uses it, despite it being an S class jutsu the 4th invented, so logically he either prefers raikiri, or raikiri is better.

or rasengan wastes a lot more chakra
Rasengan doesn't waste chakra, unlike Chidori. It's chakra efficient, which Jiraiya mentions during Naruto's training. Requiring the use of clones to make it, is not (Naruto is unique in that he escapes this by having seemingly infinite chakra, especially now that he's got access to nature chakra and the Kyuubi). Kakashi may or may not have liked Rasengan, I don't know. I do know that he mentioned (during Naruto's training to combine wind element with Rasengan to impress upon him the difficulty that lay ahead) he created Chidori because he failed to combine his element with Rasengan. Now maybe it was more time efficient to make Chidori rather than wonder if he'd ever make it work with Rasengan. Clearly Chidori is both powerful, but also chakra demanding.

Konohamaru is not Naruto. I don't know how much chakra he has, but I doubt he can afford to spare the chakra, especially in long fights. He also can't create the clones to train to combine elemental chakra unless another shortcut is discovered. Peace, and I take it, most of this discussion will be dead by tomorrow anyway.

i think everyone is being a little to tough on konohamaru. i mean sure he seemed pretty weak in the beginning but i think we are all forgetting that he has the blood of one of the most strongest clans in konoha. i agree that he should have learnt some more original jutsu but after all he is naruto's student and he is following in his footsteps etc.

and i think that konohamaru could learn the rasengan. don't forget that he had one of the best teachers in konoha(ebisu who could have helped him with chakra control). cmon guys give konohamaru a little credit. i'm sure later on he will develop some unique jutsus. who knows he may even infuse fire(?) with the rasengan?
Bravo bravo i totally agree this is what i have been saying since the last episode
