After this chapter, I got to say that my confidence has been restored in Kishi for about the 3rd or 4th time. During the war, Kishi has done a lot of borderline things and has lost my confidence multiple times along the way. Even in the last chapter where we saw Sasuke joining up with the good side, wanting to become Hokage and having a new random snake summon appear out of nowhere, this chapter has wiped all that out. Not only has he began to wrap up all the current plot lines by separating each of the villians and re-enforcing Tsunade and the other kages, but these pages in particular were the deal maker for me:
This, without a doubt, is the old Kishi we all know and love. The fact that he referenced such an old chapter in such a relevant way, I think this is one of the primary factors as to why we all became stable fans of the Naruto manga in the first place. It just has such a profound impact on the overall manga and the long term plans Kishi had for Naruto and Sasuke together. Well done Kishi, you have my confidence again, I hope you keep it up!
