I love you means they really like you and want to spend time with you but nothing is concrete. I'm in love with you means they are seriously in love with you and way deeper than a normal relationship. She loves you not only physically, but emotionally.

Yesterday I was having lunch with my girlfriend, girlfriend as a friend and before I knew it she gave me 4 different kinds of smile in one smile. A smile of joy, a smile of happiness, a smile full of warmth and a smile full of blushing. Out of the blue she said and I quote, " I'm in-love with you. " I was shell shocked. I mean, I was happy but sad at the same time. Happy because she said she's in-love with me. Sad because I didn't hear the magical three words which is/are "I love you". That made me think for a little. does being in-love with someone and loving someone the same thing or ? What do you think guys. I mean I do love her but after hearing that she's in-love with me I've been avoiding her. Today I had about 50 missed calls from her. I didn't tell her how I feel about her. Should I ask her if she loves me or does being in-love with me enough ? Help me out.

if she was just you're friend dont rush it that can ruin things take it nice and slow , also not picking up her calls can kill the attracion stop avoiding her

In any case "I love you" or "I am in love with you" could both mean the girl has a romantic interest in you. Although "I love you" could also mean they love you as a friend, co worker, classmate or whatever the hell relationship you have, but usually when a girl says it to a guy or vice versa, it means in a romantic way. "I'm in love with you" is 100% certified quantified undeniable love confession
