Infact, I don't dislike Sarada as a character at all (her fighting style is highly debatable though), she is a lot more redeemable than Sakura. 1. Her crush on Boruto has nothing to do with his looks, or nothing superficial, if anything her crush mirrors the foundation of the crush Hinata had on Naruto. 2. She is not a total a$$hole,or near as thoughtless as Sakura was at that age. 3. She proves to be more useful in battle, or in general at that age. 4. She actually has legitimate goals, at that age, and its not the shallow "The person that I like, umm?"

Though not to bash Sakura, just stating a opinion.
Do she even have a crush on Boruto?

Maybe. Kishi didn't even write her any lines in the Movie despite the story needing shinobi present when the Otsutsuki attacked.

She could of made a small cameo while saving someone, but nada. She's supposed to be apart of this 'new generation', but it seems like she's not anymore.

This generation's Genma :|

I hope that they develop her character good enough in the new series. I have also certain doubts about the new author, hopefully he won't mess up the Manga.

That's because Sarada treats others with respect and values her friendship instead of tarnishing them for a crush, also she has a legitimately goal aside from "I just like that guy over there!".

There's also the matter of her being a serious character when need to, something that Sakura notoriously failed to do so during her debut.

well duh. she had father issues. that usually negs the whole sakura-ism to begin with in this manga.

It does but the hokage goal is still over used.

That I don't disagree with, though Kishi really limited titles in Naruto, he made Kage the be all, end all position of the manga, which gives it the most prestigous standing above all. The fact he choose to have a female run after it this time shows some growth, even though wanting to be Hokage is so overused.

Yeah I can't really imagine Chouchou getting more screen time >_> that dad thing was like her only gag and it ended in the mini series.

Wait is Kishimoto even writing this series? :|

What got me about ChoCho was she just had to be black, looking for her father. Damn Kishi be shady low key lmao

Boruto blushed at her too tho...
Boruto blushed at her once, she blushed at Boruto almost three times if I counted correctly.

Take that for what you will tho. Seems like hidden crushes on both sides to me, but obviously Boruto isn't that outgoing with his relationships. Sarada expresses it kind of openly, wanting all of her friends to exceed. Though she also watches Boruto when he isn't watching her :lol

Lol I dunno I only remember once on both sides. When Sarada complimented Boruto's eye's and when Boruto told her he'll protect her from the shadows. Besides..I don't think she stalks him anymore from the Boruto movie haha.
The crush is likewise between both characters, its just that Boruto keeps his feelings more concealed.
Could be or like a Naruto Sakura relationship.

Most of those scenes were on a time lasp. When he was learning the Rasengan, they transitioned between days. And when he showed Sasuke the Rasengan, and left, Sarada came out of the bushes. Kind of like the reverse NH, cause she definitely doesn't watch him because he's inspirational like how Naruto was. He complained mostly :lol

Sarada blushed at Boruto when he said he would protect her.

Sarada blushed at Boruto and look amazed when he said he wanted to be a shinobi like Sasuke.

Sarada was still blushing and couldn't look Boruto in the eye when he said that he would follow in his own path.

Naruto and Sakura's relationship is completely different from Boruto and Sarada's.

What's worse is that - Naruto had a one sided crush on Sakura, and she didn't return any of the favors. Though all that nonsense was dropped in Part 2 until the fake confession came and ended what ever was going on.

Boruto and Sarada don't have any one sided feelings for each other. Plus, there's too many components unrelated to Naruto and Sakura's relationship. Seems more like Minato and Kushina's.

Stand corrected lol.

And I didn't mean romance wise but brother sister wise or best friend wise.

Honestly I don't know. From the beginning Sakura was very skeptical about Naruto, she didn't really like him, even thought that Naruto wanted her to fail. It took Sasuke being harsh on her after she insulted Naruto on being an orphan, and her realizing that Naruto wasn't such a bad guy after all, despite his childish antics.

Naruto on the other hand has always been very supportive of Sakura, and most of his friends in general. He always supported her, and never once looked down on her, not even when she was powerless.

----

On the opposite end, Sarada and Boruto started off as childhood friends, but they didn't really have any negative things to say about each other. Sarada stated that they had something in common, and it had to do with their fathers. As they grew up (talking about the Gaiden now), they both showed that they had a civil friendship. Sarada would vouch for him when he wanted to hide from Naruto during their game, and Boruto had thanked her after she delivered the bento to Naruto, as she said she would.

In the Movie we get a glimpse of them arguing over whether an animal is a Panda bear, or just a regular bear. Still things don't escalate, nor does she hit him. On this end we get a glimpse of how Boruto treats his team mates, thinking that team work is unimportant, and regarding team mates as something trivial for missions such as this. Even when Sarada complains that she wants join the Chunin Exams to become Hokage, Bolt states that he wants nothing to do the Exams, and he doesn't care about the Hokage in general (which is something she wants to do, but he still her it's the wrong choice). Sarada doesn't give up and later he gives in (also gotta give this to Katasuke as well).

During the Exams, despite telling Sarada he doesn't care, when he was about to lose in the Exams against the three brothers, he thought of father, Sarada, and Mitsuki. Which makes him turn on the device so that his team wouldn't lose, and more importantly, that Sarada's dream wouldn't end here.

I'll stop right here though.

-------

If you compare and contrast both friendships ... Naruto is more open, Boruto is more closed off. It took a while for Sakura to understand Naruto, and to accept him for who he was, while Sarada easily understands Boruto as a person, and roots for him in her own way (among her other friends and team mates).

It was really cool to see the contrast in the Movie. For example you would have scenes where the team would pass, and Boruto would look glum and unhappy, and Sarada would get in his face and tell him to smile while extending her hand for a high five. Or another scene where both Mitsuki and Sarada were shocked to see that Boruto could smile that wide when he saw his sister.

Interesting aspects between children and their parents, sadly it was done in a time where originality and good concepts might not last that long. I'll be really disappointed if most of their interactions turn to shit.
