Consider that if they split the juubi into two parts and sealed it into both of them, when the unnamed brother died the other juubi half would be reincarnated again, as it was with the 9 bijuu. Seeing as how that did not happen, I'm inclined to believe the viz translation.

Yeah there is that. I had to point out to somebody earlier that they would have had to do something to that half just like the Sage did something to his. Given that the tailed beasts were so much a part of the world, it would be hard to picture something existing that is equivalent but was hiding so well.

It's clear, because Hagoromo had talked at first about his brother and himself but afterwards, when he described the procedure of Jūbis sealing, he used the word "onore". Hagoromo sealed the complete Jūbi inside himself.



Nah...the translation of Viz isn't often analogously. They have made also a lot of mistakes.

Agreed. It would be a huge upset/mega asspull if there was an entire half of juubi chakra no one has ever heard about.

If you look at the setup they used to seal juubi , it's for a seal in 2 bodies , or in 2 mountains and then in Hago's body...

I will tend to think its "us" , but keeping in mind that it could be a mistake.

Viz translation of the databook regarding Senpō: Magen Gama Rinshō.

Viz says "strongest Genjutsu", but the raw doesn't use these comparison.

Another example:

Chapter 657:

Madara about Sasukes Mangekyo:
"I can feel it...your Mangekyo is a straight comma"! Mostly all fan-translations(Viz too) disregard the whole context. In actual fact Madara refers to Sasukes Tomoe, he calls them "choku Tomoe". Means: the design of the Mangekyo Sharingan influence the abilities.
These detail came only into the open, because of the raw.

The translations of Viz are good, but not perfect. Sometimes they translate the name of a chapter out of the blue, simply mindless.

I would just say that there is no perfect translator.

From what I can gather there is a lot of ongoing debate about this translation even though viz translations are considered official, they do and have made mistakes. Let's hope the next few chapters can clear it up. For the sake of the stroy I think it will be more interesting if the juubi was sealed into both brothers than just the one.
