Ok so, people on this site seem to know what they are talking about when it comes to computers and such.
So, My computer is running really slowly. I've tried defragmenting it, restarting it over and over, etc... It's still really slow.
Like, Youtube videos are slow and web pages wont load the speed they should be loading.

I really don't want to restart the computer to the state I got it in, because that would be very much a pain to put everything back on like my music and such.

And the memory on it is far from full.

So any smart people know what to do besides restarting my whole system to when it started and sending it to geek squad. I really don't want to pay ten million dollars for some nerd to tell me I have a virus and do nothing about it.

And this computer isn't even a year old, and it's not one of those piece-of-shit ones either, so don't tell me to go buy a new one.

Please help me!
Reward to whoever helps me get my computer back to the way it should be running! :D

if it is just on the internet that you have problems it could simply be your connection thats bad, if it is a virus i would suggest that you get Avira antivir a good free program and if that doesnt help just reinstall your comp that pretty much allways fix's the comp

Do you love risking to check the computer by yourself? If not, it would be easier for you to bring your computer to the computer shop.

Google it or go to Cnet.com.

Avira is good, but there are other freeware Anti-Virus programs out there, like AVG Free. Both will do the job. You also potentially could have spyware on your computer which would cause it to become slow. try running a program called spyware blaster or spyware search and destroy, which will scan your computer for known spyware and then remove it.

if neither of those work, then most likely you will have to either reinstall your operating system or take it to a computer shop.

But remember, computers get slower the older then get, so you will see some decrease in speed and performance the older your computer gets and the more you use it, the faster the decline.

Well , you can Use a program named "CCleaner" From
And if you dont want to download anti-virus it may make your computer even slower then before ,
Just download the free "Kaspersky Virus removal-tool" from Cnet .
and scan the pc for Viruses and just delete them _
Or just re-Install your windows and start clean... Copy your files off C:\ drive then do that

Hope I helped ^_^
