The suspect are 2 possibility
1. Your USB port is broken
2. Virus effect
3. Something wrong with your USB Device

Try to find it out connecting or not by looking at your “Device Manager”
You can find your device manager in Control Panel or you can find out it by left click start, right click my Computer then choose properties, choose the hardware Tab… walah…!

Yes, a possibility that your usb might have something wrong. If not, there must be your usb device. Sure a laptop will have more than one usb plug-in. If you are using mouse, try to unplug it and insert the usb instead, see if it works. if not, just dump your usb in the bin ..

If you have tried all but failed, you could always turn off the puter and unplug it. Let it wait 10 mins or so. Plug it back and see what happens.

you might be infected with an "AUTORUN" virus ... it usually wont allow the device to start whatever it is ... run a scan with malwarebyte's to see if ur lap/pc is infected ... it's a shareware .. cheers
