Comprehending Boruto from the spoilers

Boruto obviously thought his feat wasn't good enough since he cheated in both rounds, you know what prodigies have in common? High pride/ego and extremely high self confidence

Also he only has a disappearing rasengan so far according to OD, he doesn't have lighting outside the device

There is the spoiler that stated he learned raiton unconsciously after applying it to rasengan.

How does cheating not make him any less of a Prodigy? Or are you saying Prodigies are not capable of using powers that they didn't originally have themselves? Because we know better.

Even Kakashi being a Prodigy was known for the Sharingan rather than his own abilities.

Nope he creates a shadow clone but freezes in front of the enemy, Sasuke comes and saves both. Producing a clone while doing nothing is not called a rescue :lol

I guess he wasn't as confident mentally as he thought, sure he might have had the abilities if his mindset was straightforward, but I guess it was too much for him. I don't really like this route, but at least for the most part we get to see him help Naruto/Sasuke with Momoshiki in his own way.

that's right. Go on ahead and show everybody that you can't even take your own fail logic on the chin. This is you, in your own words, saying ppl should just forget that he cheated because of 1 thing he does in the end:

Boruto was influenced and deceived by a scientist who manufactured the bracelet he used, Boruto hesitates but accepts it obviously because the scientist told him it will impress his father, which was Boruto's goal so he went on to using it despite obviously not wanting to at first.
This is obvious considering the dialogue between the two after Boruto is disqualified Naruto says "we're going to talk when we get home" and Boruto adds "If you were home we wouldn't need to talk about this" Boruto letting him know if he were home and cooperated with him he wouldn't need to go into desperate measures to get his attention by using the bracelet.
As for being a prodigy, he seemed to have learned rasengan fairly quick, he also was able to incorporate raiton into it unconsciously on the first try, something Minato and Kakashi couldn't even do along with being able to make a rasengan without clones. And on top of that creating His own unique jutsu, a rasengan that disappears after being tossed and strikes upon contact (like a teleporting rasengan) which Sasuke was impressed by afterwards Salada pointed out that it struck a tree. It seems like an overwhelming jutsu to use especially for a kid.
Let's not forget who finally takes down the final villain.

There's no point in being a baby about this to the point where you're trying to use cliche retorts that won't work on me.

I agree, Kishimoto made him less of a Mary stu, and gave him actual flaws and whatnot.

But with all that hyping and false advertising, it's understandable people are mad/angry/disappointed. I am too, I still am.
