Jurrassic Park CGI > GCI now
Jurassic Park only had 4 minutes of CGI the rest was stop motion.
I like the movies back in the day. Movies now are so cliche and suck. They lost the creativity and just put out sequels. It is a shame when Disney movies are better.
Very cliched and no creativity at all I agree, but Disney movies have always been top notch, you've been watching too much of the Disney Channel, their cinema movies were always great.
Movies are at it's peak now, so many blockbusters come out in one summer alone because of how fast technology is now. Before only a few movies would release a year back then when technology wasn't as fast and movies were more expensive to make because of how long it took. Now more complicated movies are made faster.
So a lot of bad movies come out but a lot of good ones have been coming out the last almost decade, I mean everytime I go to the theatre or see a new movie it's really great. It wasn't like that when I was younger.
Movies are not really at their peak now, they are in terms of clarity, visual effects and quality, but lacking greatly in story telling, character depth and originality. Maybe when you were younger you were too young to understand and be mindful of the details like you are now.
I think in terms of quality movies have gotten better due to the development of new technologies that were not easily availaible or not availaible at all back then.
There are way too many reboots, sequels, remakes, ... And it's because the movie business is now a global market (or, more global than it used to be) so they need a guaranteed success
But never have movies been so overrated and for the most part unoriginal
On the other hand never has there been so much investement in them and even though most (mainstream) aren't really good some good movies do get made
The one thing that's defining the industry now more than ever is that the movie business is now caring more for the money than ever before
Agreed! There is no originality, money is the only thing Hollywood is concerned about now, so they will keep making reboots and sequels. And when they try to make something that hasn't been shown on screen before it comes from a novel. I don't blame the scriptwriters either because the high ups at these studios request for it to be like this.
Although I can't really be one to talk, because despite what I said, I rather enjoy watching these movies.
