Compared to the Sharingan the Byakugan has more room to grow

The Byakugan's lack of focus could serve as its greatest strength given the fact there is still secrets to be told about there background, the Byakugan and their lineage to the Otsutsuki Clan so thats why i believe the Byakugan's ceiling could be higher than the Sharingan espesially if the Tenseigan is canon.

In regards to the Sharingan no one can reach the level of Sasuke at most a Uchiha could achieve MS... the inner conflict of this clan was its own demise thus haltered any remaining member from gaining a power higher than MS

the tenseigan is cannon even though it is retconned.

my deal is that whatever growth the byakugan will have, it isn't from kishi and so I wouldn't really feel like it is cannon.
I look forward into finding out more about Hamura's side of the family and the The Last movie was a teaser for it because it turned out to be a NaruHina story.

Indeed the breathing room for the byakugan KKG dojutsu tree is vast and empty

the writers via Anime and Manga won't just let it go to waste, especially since the main character seems to revolve around it

Well , we must not compare Tenseigan with Sharingan , Kishi already answered ; Tenseigan = Rinnegan.
So , let's just compare Byakugan and Sharingan :
Byakugan : see chakra , good moves , precog (??) , 360 view , seeing through things , see far away
Sharingan : see chakra , precog ,Izanami , Izanagi , cast genjutsu , copy ninjutsu , MS abilities (2 unique abilities)

So , by now , Sharingan is way better in a battle . And Byakugan is better for spying and collecting information .

I didn't wanna give Boruto a chance until its last episode. Now I actually wanna watch Boruto and see more about his eye, the alien race, naruto and sasuke in action again. The byukgan was always said to be kept secret in the Hyuuga clan. Also, the byakugan being sealed is something important. You might now want to get the byakugan in the hands of the wrong person because what if something crazy happens like Kaguya

The Byakugan was left behind in Shippuden/Part II. Now it is the focus of the Boruto series. But I worry that a repeat in history is going to happen where Byakugan is going to get all the attention and any other unique abilities/characters are going to, once again, get little to no development.

If you want rounded development for everything, One Piece is the only manga atm. The side characters are more developed than the MCs in Naruto. The Naruto series will always focus just on the MCs although the diversity it showcased back in Part 1 where everyone was around the same tier power wise wont be replicated again

that's what worries me too, I just hope that they would not repeat the same mistake of part 2 with the Byakugan. a series that focus all the attention on a Doujutsu and and neglects the other characters sucks tbh.

part 1 gave all the characters a fair screen time and character development. that's why it is and will always be the best part in Naruto
