Yeah sorry dude, I don't think this movie will do justice to Assault on Arkham. They do have a good line up of actors. But the joker being in the story line????? eh its subpar at best. It doesn't fit the joker being involved the story you can tell they only put his character in there so people will want to go watch the movie. Now the joker as Jared Leto.....come one lets be realistic just with the few seconds we saw him doesn't justify the role of the joker. He is portraying him to be just a psychopath and thats it. There is no charisma and when you see him other than how he looks if somebody heard him with out looking they would never just say "hey thats the joker" You can however say that with Nicholsan, Ledger and of course Hamill. Each had their own version but you could tell off the bat without even looking at them and only listening that they are portraying the joker. Soooo all in all it looks like DC isn't coming out with any good movies soon. Even batman and superman doesn't appeal to me mainly because both superman/batman and suicide squad were already released as animated movies.
I really don't think the Joker is apart of the Squad? I think the Joker maybe just a character you see in a flashback. Because at the end he is clearly "operating" on Harley. And I bet that will be there way of trying to humanize her because before that she will probably have been just some regular Woman but because of the torture she snapped.
Which I don't like them humanizing these characters I understand why because there trying to make you feel attached but at the end of the day I want them to be a Villain team not people you feel sorry for.
As for the performance you have to remember before the movie came out everyone thought that Ledger was going to be a terrible Joker.
And with these new movies there's only so much different then Ledger's Joker he can be. Because they have come out many times and said that these DC movies will have no comedy relief. So he can't do imo the perfect balance for Joker that is the Clown Joker and the Psychopath Joker.
