hats off to youMost of us had the same opinion before gaining common sense and watching and reading it (the entire thing and not a few episodes...and yes 100 episodes is only a few since the show has over 520 episodes currently)
The thing is, most of them are so bent on Naruto and don't want to accept the fact that theres another anime that they will probably like more. Oda even makes his fans satisfied when Kishi doesn't.
Look at the main characters. I've never seen 1 OP fan who doesn't like Luffy, but theres tons of Naruto fans that don't like Naruto. Shouldn't a main character be one of the most likeable characters at least? And look at other main characters. A lot of people don't like Sasuke or Sakura. But nearly every OP fan likes every member of the SH crew. Even members like Usopp or Nami who might not be likeable at first, become likeable as the show goes on. OP starts of boring and awkward. Then the story and animation improves as it goes on. Naruto's story fluctuates too much. Theres a good part, then a dumb part. Why else do Naruto fans complain about things so much? Because they wanted to see Kakashi's rampage, or they don't like how characters aren't getting any time? Or battles/fillers that should have been shown? With OP, the fans aren't complaining about any of that.
That said, OP actually has less flaws in its story and characters.
But you still shouldn't try to get people into if they say they don't want to. If they gain the sense, they will get into it whenever. Otherwise, forget em.
i made this thread for people who got sense
