Meh I've read some of the recent chapters within the last few months and I feel the same way about the art, I mean it improved but it is still really cartoonie, Luffy looks decent enough but a lot of the characters are plain ridiculous.

And it doesn't matter. Mangaka art is subjective, and this is no different.

I mean, look at Angel Densetsu. You wouldn't know the author also made Claymore.

I understand that all art is subjective....I personally just can't appreciate OP's style, which is why I would rather read a transcript or novel format of the story line.

Ah. But then it wouldn't work, since part of OP's charm are the backgrounds, and you can't just appreciate that through text. Half of the characters would take up about a paragraph's length to describe.

Is it because you're more accustomed to symmetrical art? Here's a chance to broaden your horizons.

This is a Naruto affiliated site yes there is a sub section for One Piece but you know what there is a sub section for Bleach as well. Personally I haven't watched/read a whole lot of One Piece but I can tell when I like/dislike an anime/manga. I don't see the point of arguing about which Anime/Manga is better because each have it's fans and people who like it. I haven't bought a manga chapter in my life either, but I don't see how this contributes to the discussion. There is a whole list of proof that One Piece IS better than any other manga around. I can't believe why people are still trying to deny it, just based on a feeling. If it's your opinion I'm fine with it. But if you want to convince me that Naruto or even Bleach is better come with evidence. Solid evidence not your gut feeling.

When I joined this forum I was a big Naruto and Bleach fan too. I still read them but the story really took a turn for the worse qualitywise over the years. One Piece never let down.

Personally i watched the first 2 episodes of op and got bored. True that, which is why OP fans here are the best judges in here atleast because they have seen both series and can measure equally while Naruto fans who come in here seen 1 or 2 episodes and judge the whole series.

I mean I use to say Naruto > one Piece just couple months ago when I only saw like the first 10 episodes but then it became One Piece > Naruto when I caught up but hey thats just my opinion.
