Cold is more than a word
It's a feeling
And it's a temperature, how absurd?
Does it just leave your mind reeling?

Let me ask you a question or three
Do you fear the dark?
Do you fear being alone without anyone but me?
Oh I know I've left my mark

You see I feared losing you like no other before
That didn't stop the fear from becoming reality
You gave me a broken dream that I thought you'd restore
Instead you shattered it, & preyed on my insecurity

Cold is so much more than a word we speak
It's how we're left feeling inside
When we're sitting along by the creek
At the end of every day thinking about who lied

I let myself get lost in your fantasy
And woke up to reality in a web of a black widow
Is this really what you want for your legacy?
I want to live but I don't want to let go..

I'm done asking questions
I will suffer through this cold
I'm done taking suggestions
Unlike you I'll feel this till I grow very old

So you can call me what you want to
You can say cold is just a word my friend..
But I would never have done this to you
And I hope this comes back to you in the end​
