He got both codes from V.V and C.C, which grants you immortality, that's the reason why Nunally was able to see what really happened by grabbing Lelouch's hand. Also want to add this.

Well many say that Lelouch is still alive. But I beg to differ. Not because I have proof or something to show that he is not but because of the fact that, Lelouch's death was something that brought a sense of completion to the story. Just think about the last dialogue of Lelouch..."I destroy the world and create it anew" . Would it sound so cool if he was still alive after what happened. IMO no, he made himself the center of hatred and destroyed that pin pointed hatred by killing himself. His death was the last part of his plan.

Code Geass by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar for me. But then I didn't really care for Deathnote. But everything about CG was great for me. So many feels throughout the anime and many things happen that just make you think twice about life itself... And the ending was just the icing on the cake for me, I like Lelouch a lot more than I liked Light and I watched DN first. Lelouch is one of my five favorite characters of all time.

True, but he still had the contract with C.C which wasn't to kill herself but to be actually loved by someone without the power of geass, which is lelouch in this case. If lelouch is alive he can grant her wish. But I do agree that his dialogue would be even more epic if he really died right there, he would throw away the hatred with his dead.

What you said is true , but remember that Lulu had 2 Geass . 2 Geas = immortality

Yes, I know. There are many points like this ^^ which supports 'Lelouch being alive" theory. Hell some part of me still believes that he is still out there. But as I have said, I like the ending as it is.I don't want any more miracles from him. He has endured enough, more than a man can, in his lifetime.

Better than Death Note? That makes me curious. What is it about?

Well in this world the americans lost the revolutionary war and now its run by britain, now known as brittania

they still have a king queen system but its in the future (2018)

The brittanians invade japan with their new mechs technology and curb stomp japan to the ground.

A prince named lelouch of the brittanian empires mother is assasinated right in front of him by a barrage of bullets, leaving him shocked and his little sister blind.

Angered he demands his father the current king of britannia to find out who did this, but he didnt seem to care, so in a rage he forfeits his right to the throne

After that hes banished to japan about a couple months b4 Brittania invaded japan, and he lived with his soon to be best friend Suzaku

Then when brittania invades (keep in mind they are about 10 at this point) and see the horrors that they did to his friend suzakus land and because he thinks the murder of his mom was a consipracy he vows to destroy the brittanian empire

Flash forward about 8 years and Lelouch is in high school on a britannian settlement in japan (He has a new identity and noone knows hes a prince)

Hes a ****ing genius haha straight A's top of the class but he skips alot to go gambling playing his favorite game (chess)

This guy can beat you in chess using only a pawn and a king lmao hes just too good, just a great strategist

Then a small resistance group drives a truck into a construction site, lelouch gets mixed up in it and inside the truck was an experiment by the britannians in a container, the brittannian army shows up and Suzaku shockingly is a part of it. But the brits are extreeeeemmmeeely racist and prejudice toward 11's (The new name for japanese) and when suzaku refuss to kill lelouch (because lelouch has seen too much) they shoot suzaku.

Then the container opens and theres a girl who gives lelouch the power of the king (Geass)

With that power he gives you an order and you follow it no mattter what

And his first command was for the platoon of brittanians to kill themselves.

To be honest, the intelligence of their protagonists is actually the ONLY thing the two series share in common. The comparisons between their overall plans is really vague at best, and it goes without saying how different their worlds are. In short, comparing them is as futile as comparing any other series, cause they're just too different to accurately choose.

That said, I like Light and L as characters more than anyone from Geass, and the plot just speaks to me more, so it's Death Note for me. (Plus, the ending's a lot easier to watch because Light's a disgusting person in retrospect).
