Ya I can't honestly see any good reason for Orichimaru to be alive after all he's done in the story, he's a true villian to the core and you can't have him alive when the manga ends. Plus we know Naruto and Sasuke's battle is the true last battle. Kaguya's time will run out, just like Madara's and everyone before them.
