It's not Sage Mode... It is an incomplete version of it. Think of it as ethnic background. Hypothetical scenario. Let's say a boy is 75% white and 25% black. Let's say the person in question is being called "not black" because of how little his ethnic background reflects that. He is black, albeit not fully (incomplete). Same with Sage Mode vs Curse Mark.

Once you establish that one of your points is to put Sasuke on an elevated level than Naruto, it's about done for all legitimate points afterwards. Could have left it out. But nope...

CM and SM are similar, but not exactly the same. CM absorbs the users chakra and replaces it with Orochimaru's Senjutsu chakra (So yeah, Sasuke did have Senjutsu chakra in Part 1) and grants enhancements similar to SM's, but inferior as the CM users don't have control over Nature Energy as you need to train at one of the 3 special places to be able to control it.
