With his opponent at mid range towards him and earth being his speciality, Kakuzu quickly gathers his doton chakra and makes stone spikes to emerge from the ground surrounding the opponent and impale him.

As Ryu watches his opponent just stand there and do nothing, Ryu begins gathering his Raiton chakra in between his hands and slams his hands on the ground, sending a surge of lightning towards the thread man

Ryu then removes 6 kunai from his ninja pouch and tosses them at Kakuzu(1 at each of his limbs, 1 at his head and 1 at his torso)

Saying so, Kakuzu Grabbed nine kunais with explosive tags whilst concentrating his doton chakra. With his doton chakra he made a single pillar to raise from the ground and lift him up. as It does kakuzu throws the three kunais in a projectile motion towards the opponent such that it reaches the opponent from the top directly at his head with his right hand and throwing the other six to cancel the kunais throws by his opponent. while he does that the lightning destroys the Pillar and Kakuzu safely lands on the ground.

As Ryu watches his opponent launch himself into the air and throw 3 kunai at him, he quickly gathers chakra into his lungs and changes it into Fuuton chakra before releasing a stream of wind from his mouth at the kunais, causing them to explode in mid air and cover the area with smoke, blocking our vision of each other

Before the smoke can clear, Ryu makes a haze clone of himself and removes 3 kunai with explosice tags from his ninja pouch, he instructs the clone to run straight at his opponent. As the clone runs towards his opponent as the smoke is clearing, Ryu throws the 3 kunai directly behind his clone so it is hidden from his opponent until it passes through the clone just before he can reach Kakuzu and explodes

Description: Haze clone technique is like the regular clone technique in creating intangible clones, although these clones will let the enemy go through them without being dispelled or released. Doujutsu can see through these clones as unlike Shadow Clones, they are intangible and lack any form of chakra circulatory system, chakra flow, etc; they are simple images made by chakra. They cannot do harm to any enemy but can be used to communicate and distract the enemies. The clones can be created anywhere within the users sensory field.
