I feel like a lot of people are skipping this one since they're not that well known of characters but I've been surprised. 4 episodes in and it's been pretty solid. Good cinematography, good conveyance of emotions, good dramatic story telling.

Love the series so far. I am afraid however since this is made by a not well-known channel compared to big ones such as FOX that it may go downhill. I hope it isn't the case and they get more funding and the quality gets higher. If not, I hope Netflix or HULU will pick up the series should it fail because there's a big opportunity to be made here. Also, they are characters from Spiderman and I am sure that they won't fail to include him. And when spidey is involved, the Avengers and Deadpool won't be far behind.

what is it about?
and where can i watch
Cloak has the power to control the dark while Dagger can control light.
They are both superheroes from Spiderman.

As for the story goes, the show covers how they got their powers and their struggle to find out how they got it, how they are both connected to each other and how to control their powers.

It seemed a little too much like whiney teenagers with problems for me. I get they both suffered some pretty horrific tragedies in their past at the same instance which I found cool, but they seemed kind of mopey and it seemed to drag on. But that’s not a fair assumption, I know, as I know little to nothing about them.

The cinematography is pretty on point I agree. I only got through the 1st 2 episodes and it hadn’t really grabbed me yet. But maybe I will return and watch the other episodes and give it another go.

It’s not the first time I’ve had to watch a show a few times before I really begin to understand the subtle nuances of it.

You are true about the whole teenager mopeyness thing. It has been being dragged on. Pretty sure that it's season 1's overall theme. But that is something interesting considering most of animes have that, so let's be forgiving about this one.

It really picks up after they've established most of the protagonists' current problems such as dysfunctional families and personal quirks. I believe in episode 5 or 6 is when their powers really gets involved in the story. I hope it becomes more and more involved rather than "oh, my powers are getting in the way" or "my powers are amplifying my problems" which was the downfall of the first spiderman movies. While it made the story feel interesting, being dragged out like that and shadowing instead of highlighting the powers do make audiences lose interest.

It's to be expected a bit of a show centered on teens but I didn't think it was all that heavy. I thought Tandy was shown to be handling herself pretty well considering, I wouldn't really call her moments where all the stuff she's ignored, grafting people. She seems like she's using what she has and can to get by. I thought the situation with Ty's mom and him was pretty well done too, it felt genuine and not soap opera-y. I liked that they flipped the stereotypical perception of black character, broken home white character, loving family.

I went in not confident how well their story could carry a series but I gotta say as long as the rest of the season stays as strong as the first few I think it'll do good. Still don't know how long they can run it but not every show needs to be 5,10 seasons. Not to change subject but that's one of my favorite things about Breaking Bad, it knew when to wrap and not to try and stretch even though they knew they'd have fans tune in constantly.
