It's to be expected a bit of a show centered on teens but I didn't think it was all that heavy. I thought Tandy was shown to be handling herself pretty well considering, I wouldn't really call her moments where all the stuff she's ignored, grafting people. She seems like she's using what she has and can to get by. I thought the situation with Ty's mom and him was pretty well done too, it felt genuine and not soap opera-y. I liked that they flipped the stereotypical perception of black character, broken home white character, loving family.
I went in not confident how well their story could carry a series but I gotta say as long as the rest of the season stays as strong as the first few I think it'll do good. Still don't know how long they can run it but not every show needs to be 5,10 seasons. Not to change subject but that's one of my favorite things about Breaking Bad, it knew when to wrap and not to try and stretch even though they knew they'd have fans tune in constantly.
