Rising from the ground before his student in a rather rocky, barren terrain, Mystogan looked at his student with a mysterious look. With only his eyes visible, it as hard to tell what his expression was.
Greetings. I shall be your instructor in the art of Doton; Mystogan-sensei. Though I may not be as much of an expert as Gildarts-san, I most definitely have less random moments. So, shall we begin? Theory is always a good place to start. So, tell me, what is earth, what different forms can "earth" exist in, what do you associate earth with, and finally how do you personally believe you would go about using your basic chakra to manipulate the earth element?

Well firstly Earth Release is one of the basic five elements . It allows the user to manipulate the surrounding of the ground so that the user can use it for offensive attacks or defensive purposes .

Advantages

Doton can be created from mud , dirt or rock . Doton has the ability to change strength and composition of the earth ; it can make it soft as clay or hard as metal , and making it heavier or lighter . With this being said , these abilities makes Doton the most versatile ability of basic five . By making it soft as clay , it allows the user to travel underground for transportation purposes , or setting up traps/bombs for the enemy . Doton affinities are the most common amongst the ninja of Iwagakure, and is commonly affiliated with the Snake seal and/or slamming their palm onto the ground. Earth is strong against water. It's natural thing that earth blocks the water , or absorbs it to the point that it becomes soft. it becomes muddy

Disadvantages:

Doton in most cases is requires you to be close to the surface so you can be able to manipulate it. Thus when fighting while airborne it would be hard to use it more efficiently like you would if it was on the ground. It is weaker agiast lightning since lightning can pierce through it and can easily destroy the bonds between the molecules of earth. Since this jutsu usually needs both hands to execute it leaves unable to defend yourself from any unexpected attacks while executing the jutsu. Also the fact that you cannot use doton in places that are full of water.

As for perfoming the earth jutsus I am not that confident about my answer but I'll give it a try. I believe doton is a type on element that requires you to transfer your chakra to it in order for you to manipulate it. So if I were to try and manipulate some I would pick up a small rock and firsty accumalate chakra inside my body and transfer it into a small rock, not to destroy it but change its form to something else liie into the shape of a stick ot staff.

Now, we shall begin the introduction to the practical.
Getting low to the ground, Mystogan began to dig quickly, sinking into the ground quickly before his student. Moving through the earth, he positioned himself beneath his student and suddenly switched places with him (using your bio's gender), leaving him helpless in the ground.

It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth. While inside the earth, the user cannot make handseals and can only use Earth techniques below C-Rank. If he tries to do a higher ranked technique, he'll disrupt the Hiding like a mole technique and be left crushed.

Now that you're stuck there, I want you to build and focus your chakra. Feel the earth surrounding you, binding you, holding you in place. As you are held there by the earth, focus on how the earth feels, how the earth makes you feel, and use your imagination to picture how that would look like for that sensation to mix with your chakra. There is no wrong image, and sometimes it's not something that can be seen even with the mind's eye; simply keep thinking on it, meditating and molding chakra. After a while, I shall remove you from the earth and we'll begin.

Toki is awe he says: What is this?! How did I get suddenly... as Toki sees this he realizes that he's training... Damn it I can't move an inch I am trapped in here... As I am bareheaded with just my head out of the ground I start to think of a way to get out of this but first I must learn how to control this earth even without using any hand signs since my hands are unable to move at the moment.

Firstly I meditate and start by accumulating chakra and focusing it on a single point on my body. After that I try to distribute it all over my body in all directions, after a while chakra has accumulated and I am now surrounded by chakra all over my body. With this I try and manipulate the earth around me softening it so that I can get into the position of placing my hands in the snake hand seal. Unfortunate I fail since I still cannot move and no matter how soft I try to make it so that I can move just my hands I still can't do it.

Anyway after that I do the chakra accumulation steps again until I it is distributed all over my body, I try and picture my self as something that is not moving like the earth and by all means trying to create an image on my head that of which I imagine moving earth like water flowing that has high viscosity. Naturally after doing this I feel my body very heavy and I feel like I am being squashed because of the tremblings that I hear now. "Well is this enough sensei?"

Slamming his left palm on the ground, Mystogan caused two sections of earth on either side of his student to flip up, like a double-door opening, so that he could climb out.

Description: After striking the ground with their hands, the user manipulates the ground in front of him to form a slab that tilts upwards, up to 90º, creating a wall of earth that can defend from incoming frontal attacks. In addition, the user can also create 2 slabs that will rise and tilt to the sides in front of him, as if "opening up" the ground. This can be done to create a clear path if anything hazardous is above the ground in that specific area.

Now, we shall begin with the most basic of doton. Fist, focus the chakra you should have come to know whilst underground into the ground beneath you, allowing it to flow like in your chakra-molding exercises. Then, use shape manipulate to simple form a rectangle of your doton chakra within the earth; tall, while not long or wide. Then, simply move your chakra upwards above the surface of the ground, which will take the earth with it if you got the chakra correct.

Toki comes out of the rubble, as he comes out he streches his body so that he can release stress from his body. After some few mins he bends down and kneel with one knee, the one on the right. After this he molds his chakra and focuses most of it in his palms, thinking or rather imagining hard and stiff rectangular shape... after some few secs he releases most of it as he slams the ground with both his hands and a sqaurish shape appears...

Ahhh damn I failed... that's no rectangle it a square.... ohmmy did my imagination dwindle? Plus I needed 2 hands to do it while sensei used one , I am pathetic. So sensei anymore tips you can give me? Also what would happen to the rock if I use more chakra?

Watching the scene, Mystogan made no expression towards the attempt one way or the other.
It appears that you have the basics for the technique down, even if the exact attempt was not what I was looking for. With practice, you can become better at using this technique.
With more chakra, you can create a very large pillar with enough force to launch you into the air, allowing you to quickly send yourself away from an attack. The technique can also be used to create tools such as weapons or shields in addition to pillars, once again by simply growing them from the ground.
So, I want you to try that. Think of the shape of a weapon of any kind in your mind, and then try to raise it from the ground using this technique. Afterwards, I want you to describe for me ways that you see yourself using this jutsu in battle. It's always good to know when techniques are useful for future reference.

After hearing these words Toki in shame he starts to calm down and calm his mind... he tries to remember the sensation he had when he was on the ground, he then starts to mold his chakra and then focuses it on his hands after this he imagines the earth as fluid and soft, then he slams his hand on the ground while holding this thought. On the ground something like mud appears and as time continues it begins to take a shape of a spear... and then solidifies.

Well I heard that the most effective doton jutsu is to use spikes on the ground to take your opponent by surprise. Well for me to use it would be to create these spears on the enemy ground. Or rather use the spear by launching it to an opponent that is far away from me.

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique

Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

The next technique you'll learn is very similar in nature. First, I want you to focus your chakra into the earth, and cause a staff to rise from the ground like the pillar you made. Then, take the staff and throw it at your target. After that, you can try to make several staffs rise up out of the ground, and use your chakra to suspend them in the air; cause them to hover. After that, you can send them forwards in a barrage of earth staffs.
I will also want how you can see yourself using this in battle, as well as any drawbacks with the technique you find.

One/three advantages:

• 1. Since it uses low chakra its easy to use
• 2. Great offense to use on many enemies.
• 3. A good diversion technique to force enemy to change direction.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. While using it user is Venerable to attacks comming from the sky
• 2. Eady to counter since its low rank and to counter balance with same jutsu.

How you would use it in battle: Use it as a diversion to create a chance to lauch an attack to an opponent that is airborne, like using a barrage of shuriken after the opponent has jumped into the sky.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I would mold earth based chakra and imagine the shape manipulation I want to create. While doing that I would also be transmitting most of my chakra to my hands and slam them to the ground and create the spikes you have mentioned. With this I would make them go upwards as they form while them forming a shatp side thst I would use to strike my opponent down.

So... I'm not sure if my format confused you a bit. I post, in a quote, the technique you just learned, and then describe the next technique you're going to learn. With that said, the staffs are not sharp, nor can they be made sharp, so they can't pierce like spikes or have "a shatp side thst I would use to strike my opponent down". The technique you're learning basically makes a single weapon out of earth: a staff. But because this would fall under the Earth Technique jutsu, it also has its alternate use in allowing you to create several staffs, have them hover around you, and have them thrown in a barrage. Have I cleared things up?

The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

This next technique is quite simple. You focus doton chakra to your arm which draws small rocks from the ground towards it, where they'll orbit your hand and arm like satellites. Then, you extend your arm and release the rocks towards your intended destination. Very simple; a barrage of rocks.

Well I hope it was that simple Sensei but I will try.

Firstly I stand firmly without moving much as I gather chakra to my body and then when enough chakra has accumulated in me I concetrate most of it to my arms and hands. After that I instantly slam my hand to the ground drawing n small chunks of rocks to orbit my arms like how the planets orbirt the around the sun. After that I stand in a more battle stance way and move my arms back and then quickly foward launching the rocks into my intended target.

Anyway is it possible to create these rocks where the enemy would be standing and just hit them with the rock? I hope we go to C - ranks soon... h:

Disadvantages:
Well the first flaw about this jutsu is that it has less accuracy so naturally when someone is using this jutsu its normal to expect that they are up to something when they attack you with it. So it can't really kill skilled opponents but good for creating diversions. Also this jutsu the size of earth it uses is small so a D-ranked wind jutsu can give it a run of its money.

How you would use it in battle:
I would use it to create diversions or an opening so that I can launch a more devastating attack on the enemy. Also I would use it to to make the enemy go to where I want the to go too, for example make them dodge and go to the sky where dodging th e attack there seems far impossible.


Finally am hoping that I can learn one of the most used elements in NB RP game

( Doton: Iwa Rendan ) - Earth Release: Rock Barrage

Description: The user will concentrate their chakra into their arm and then release their chakra creating a ring of rocks that are then flung at the opponent.

Alright, the next two techniques are complimentary techniques, and as such will be learned together. The first require you to send your chakra into the ground beneath your feet and deconstruct the earth into fine sand. As you've formed the ground into sand, I want you to dig into it, using your chakra to compress the sand above you back into earth so that it appears as though the ground is completely unchanged. As you're underground, you can also send your chakra through the earth above you to feel differing pressure on the surface so you can know what is where.
The second technique builds on this jutsu in that you come up underneath your target, grab their ankles, and pull them under the ground. It's as simple as that; trading places with them so that your opponent's head sticks out and their body is trapped. Easy.

Now, performance of both, and an explanation as usual.

Okay... As Toki hears the instructions from his sensei he calms himself and concentrates so that he can manipulate the earth element better.

You know your training method is very different from the ones I usually see. But still kinda fun, trying to describe a jutsu without seeing it but just from your explanation would be hard... but I accept the challenge.

First Jutsu

Advantages:
With this jutsu you can hide your presence while also you get an opportunity to launch sneak attacks using the earth jutsus. Also these ambushes can be really helpful if you are used the right way. Other than that I think its what the jutsu offers for its danger to use.

Disadvantages:
It is that while the user is using it they cannot perform any seals and in addition they cannot use any other element other then earth, while the jutsus in earth they can use are limited to C -ranks only because if they do use them they will disrupt the jutsu causing the user to be crushed by the pressure from the sand.

How would you use in Battle:
I would use it to hide my location from the enemy so that they wouldn't able to pin point my location. When that happens then I would use my chakara to locate them using that data to locate where their chakra is through vibrations.

Me doing the jutsu:
I first use smoke bombs on me and your clone, doing this gives a me an opportunity to do the jutsu and go underground. Therefore before I go underground I mold my chakra and concentrate it into the center of my body. After enough chakra has been accumulated within me, I transfer most of it to my hand and while I do that I move my hand to the ground. Slamming it and then softening the earth around me and making it into fine sand, Then I dig into the earth using my chakara as I move through the it I compress the sand above me back into earth so that it appears as though the ground is completely unchanged. After I have submerged enough to the ground I send my chakra above to sense which is where.

Second Jutsu

Advantages:
It uses minimal amount chakra I guess, also it requires no hand seals since one cannot do hand seals while under ground, so an excellent jutsu to use when trying to ambush someone.

Disadvantages:
The fact that you have to touch the opponent's ankle it means the opponent can use a replacement or ratrher you can be unlucky and capture the opponent's clone since when you send the chakara above to sense enemy location you are unable to differentiate which one is not a clone. Also that "I touch the ankle and decapitate them into the ground" line gives them enough time frame for them to dodge your attack.

How would you use in Battle:
I would use it in short range ofcourse after I have used the above jutsu. Either way this jutsu is short range so I have no choice but to do that. Well there is just no other way to use this jutsu other then when you have used the above jutsu. Damn if I learned this sooner I'm sure that noob wouldn't have maimed me...

Me doing the jutsu:
After I have located the enemy''s chakra I would go there which means I would still moving via the above jutsu principles meaning I would be still be digging through the earth using my chakara. So after I have located the opponent I go up near to the surface where I take out just my hand a little of my arm revealing out of the surface, to which I quickly get ahold of the opponent's ankle and then I pull them under the ground like I am trading places with them so that the opponent's head sticks out and their body is trapped underground.

The next technique uses the Ram handseal. After forming the seal, you can raise two large sections of earth to float above the ground around your target. Then, simply cause them to come together, crushing anything caught between.
The second technique is quite useful. You send your chakra into an earthen structure, even Doton techniques used by you, and then cause the earth to rise outwards as a spike. These spikes are strong and can pierce through objects in your way if need be. You can also create more than one spike at a time with this jutsu.
