Great explanation as always sensei, this jutsu pretty much is a handful when it comes to its preparations but I think it can be hard to counter if it catches you.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it in mid range when knowing that the battle time frame will force me to close range so that I would get enough time to perform the hand seals. Also when I have to buy enough time for something like let my nakama escape due to its nature to slowly take out the ninjas life. Also using it to defend my self from physical attacks like taijutsu ones that would hsrm me. I thought using it agaist a fire jutsu, the idea of being boiled scares me. |:

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it to trap opponents into it which I would slowly take away their breath, I wonder if I can use it by creating the prison jutsu by wrapping it around my enemy instantly.

how you can defend against the tech:
Dont go close range if you see that enemy is using it, if its not a water specialist using it then quickly engaging in combact like kunais and taijutsu to take the advantage of long handseals and engage in combat. Usually if the opponent is gonna use this jutsu they make clones, so best option is to create clones of your own or create a double without them figuring it out. This jutsu requires a lot of preparations the best I think I can do is to not get captured by it. Well if it happens I'm captured I think substitution or escape kill jutsu can be used… (correct me here sensei, dunno what to do if captured by it)

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
It is interesting a handful jutsu to perform but I think if its a success it can be really deadly.

After reading that explanation I am like :what: but still hoping for more.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Firstly I would use it when there is a lot of water around to avoid being turned to steam. Secondly when I am standing ontop of water, because when someone attacks me I would instantly change to water while I submerge to be one with the water below. That way way no one can make me steam lol.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I dont think there is a way as this is simply an escape kill jutsu. Just a defense jutsu.

how you can defend against the tech:
I can't, if a person has used it I just fell for it. Or maybe if I have sharingan I can be able to see if the opponent is about to use it and perhaps prepare a katonjutsu.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Cool jutsu not interesting though since its like a dubstition jutsu substitute

<_< Alright. When I say I've seen it being used before, I can fully vouch for this because... I was the one who turned them to steam. >_>

As for the first tech, Earth Release: Hardening Technique is the most useful technique in this situation. It creates so many pluses for you. First, it requires no hand seals, so that means being immobilized has no effect on this technique. Second, it is an earth technique so it's inherently strong against water, and the rank difference is also huge. Third, your opponent is in close range of you, so you can use it not only to break out, but attack your opponent simultaneously, and if they want to live they have to move away thus breaking contact with the sphere and ending the technique. There may be other techs, but this one seems to be the best on for me.

(Suiton: SuishΕ« Gorugon) - Water Release: Powerful Blasting Rain Trench
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user after performing Dragon β†’ Tiger will summon a large amount of water that will then be used to strike at the opponent in several versatile ways. It has been known to transform it into a dragon with a gaping mouth to attack. The water used will be stationary till it is sent offensively toward the opponent.

The technique only require 2 hand seals and can be performed quickly. This falls into your very basic streams or surges of water category. The user summons a large amount of water then channels their chakra into it to cause the water (that is otherwise stationary) to surge toward their target while shaping it in the form of a dragon. Since the technique isn't that complicated, I'll let you explain the rest to show you understanding.

(Suiton: Teppoudama) - Water release: Water Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A large sphere of rotating water that is spit out of the users mouth that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked.

Requires only one hand seal. It is nothing more than a large bullet of water. It can soak the area enabling it to block wide ranges of fire about it burst. The techniques involves focusing water chakra in the stomach then moving it up to the mouth while building pressure to condense the water into bullet form. Then all the chakra pressure is released at once to launch the bullet out. Since the technique isn't that complicated, I'll let you explain the rest to show you understanding.

(Suiton: Mizu Kamikiri) - Water Release: Rising Water Cutter
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After waving the Tiger hand seal the user slams his foot to the ground, causing water to rise up and travel towards his target as a slicing jet.

This technique only requires one hand seal but does requires a water source. You basically use your water chakra to control the water source nearby to focus beneath your feet and when you slam your foot down the water rises up and then cuts through the earth almost like a shark's fin cuts through water. This technique is good to attack your opponent while your opponent is one the ground near a water source so it'll make it difficult to run toward you. The simplest way to defend against the technique is to cause a stronger wall of earth to halt the movement of the water. But there are more interesting way to block them if you are creative enough. In my opinion, this technique is worth using as it requires a water source in most cases isn't provided.

Certainly it has become the best for me too :p, and lol I wonder who ws the unlucky person who got steamed.. pretty beastly Crutch.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it admist in battle where I need not to do any diversions or faints but simply using it to attack the opponent head-on. I think using it like this is the best thing for me since everything about this jutsu is just made for attacking. Well there are other ways I think this jutsu can be used like for instance perform it just after pairing an enemy attack.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it to attack my opponent head on by simply making it attack from the top and slash down on the opp. Or maybe use it from any sides that include left, right, back and front well maybe down if we are standing on top of water.

how you can defend against the tech:
Use the same jutsu to counter it or use the C ranked earth dragon to counter and defeat it due to elemental advantage and weakness that exist between both.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Well it certainly is useful but not much interesting due the fact that its used almost every time by masters of water element.

I accept the challenge sensei U_U will make sure I not disappoint.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would use it to attack enemies at mid and short range. Also would use it when I have to defend from a katon attack that has the same range as it, meaning this jutsu can be both used defensively and offensively...quite a stable jutsu.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it to attack an enemy that is within its range and aim it on the enemy's torso or head so that I can drill them and rotate them to the air and then fall down, because i think it would be a waste to just instantly smash it on the ground. Meaning I wouldn't use it if I was in the air.

how you can defend against the tech:
Use a katon jutsu of the same rank or higher. I believe using the water bullet while opponent does so would be a risk. Because it would be too close to you thus causing you to still recieve some water splash even if you manage to execute yours..

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Yes it is... but its gives me the impression of that there are many jutsus which can block it. Also you said hand seal is required. which one though?

Certainly this technique is the deadliest you've taught me so far... I appreciate it *_*

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would use it to attack the enemy whether from behind or left.. basically any direction. The best way I can think of is to first use a jutsu that requires less effort like maybe kage bunshi shrikens and then while opponent is trying to dodge the shuriken then you use the water jutsu to attack the enemy.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it to attack the opponent and perhaps if applicable cut through their defense. Also by using water's ability to bend to my advantage I would attack using this jutsu by making the water cutter have a whip like appearance so that the waves produced from it can be used to its advantage and thus making it try to slice more than once like a standing wave.

how you can defend against the tech:
I would use the earth style based hardening skin jutsu so I wouldn't be cut or maybe use earth moving core to eaither levitate my self up or down from the attack.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Sure this one is dangerous which automatically makes it interesting the best jutsu I liked and would choose if i were to pick between these 3.

I think the person might still be on the site with a different username. But who knows? xD

Tiger.

(Suiton: Taihoudan) - Water Style: Water Gun
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Descripton: A strong water wave spit from the mouth that is more compressed than Chaos Water Wave and can carve the earth if used on the same area multiply times.

Squirtle use water gun. That's essentially it. Just focus a large amount of water chakra in your stomach, move it up to your mouth and release it as a constant stream of water. Offensively, its a stream of water than can be used to leave a lot of physical damage on the opponent due to its forceful carving nature. It can also be used to destroy lower ranked earth techs. To defend against it just use higher ranked earth or use fire or wind to cancel it out. Not a really special technique.

(Suiton: Suikoundan) - Water Style: Water Shark Bomb
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A water projectile shaped like a shark formed after the user does the Tiger β†’ Ox β†’ Dragon β†’ Hare β†’ Dog β†’ Bird β†’ Rat β†’ Clone seal β†’ Dragon β†’ Ram handseals. The projectile is formed from the user and travels towards the opponent.
Note: No water source required

As you can see this techniques requires a lot of hand seals. If you are not a water specialist, it is a not worth using. The technique works by focusing and releasing a large amount of water chakra at the users feet. The water then surges toward the opponent on the ground and while it travels, the user manipulates the shape of the water to form a shape. The techniques in the end is simply a shark shaped water bullet the surges like a stream on the ground. You may want to use it for style point but I believe there are more proactive techniques similar to this one such as Water Bullet requiring only one hand seal for every one. I personally would not use it because I am not a water specialist and cannot afford to do those hand seals. But the technique can be guarded easily with simply earth techs. Not special other than for the style of it being a shark.

Mm quite an unfortunate fellow, anyway seems like most jutsus use the tiger seal. I will remember that Crutch sensei.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Good jutsu to use on short to middle range because from my understanding I think its fats to perform even if water is not your latent element. So to I would use it to block attacks that are of the same nature... or maybe launch them myself :dunno:

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it to prevent an opponent from doing a jutsu that might kill me. Like maybe if an opponent wants to do a jutsu like kirin, preventing him to do hand seals that make him use chidori, this jutsu would be very useful in that situation.

how you can defend against the tech:
I would the same jutsu or use an earth wall to defend, or just levitate my self using doton jutsu and move away from its trajectory. Ofcourse I would have to resort to option one and two if I am airborne.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Super useful technique that seems to me that its not that deadly. But worth it anyway.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Firstly I wouldn't use it too since I too am not a water specialist. But if i were and was not a water specialist I would use it just to test the speed of my enemy and all that stuff. But also due to the fact that this jutsu is only usable up to mid range... so the best thing would be to use it while the opponent is in mid range and maybe occupied by something. Either way the time frame allows him to counter...

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it as a quick assault like an underwater torpedo attack bomb. I sat this because after reading the explanation and understanding the jutsu I think this one timing is really a necessity hence using timing.

how you can defend against the tech:
Get out of its range like maybe riding an earth dragon or pitting it against my dragon. Also a wall would suffice. So I think I wouldn't be able to counter it if used by a water specialist unless I possess sharingan so either way the best option would be to use an earth jutsu to defend against it... or maybe a fire jutsu.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Pretty decent jutsu that has a lot of hand seals which I think the power ans its speed compensates the number of hand seals made.

(Suiton: Seibun Hōfutsu) - Water Style: Water Heavens Convergence
Rank: C
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the required hand signs Tiger β†’ Dog β†’ Monkey β†’ Snake β†’ Boar β†’ Tiger the user makes water rise from the ground and they can use this water in various ways. They can create a body of water for a water summoning to be encased in and allow them to move around where normally no water exists, or create a body of water to block incoming attacks or surround his target and then drown them.

This technique requires no water source but it does requires 6 hand seals. Unless you are a water specialist I do not recommend it. The technique works by focusing your water chakra in an existing water in the ground and the moisture in the air to allow you to manipulate the said water and condense and collect it to create a small body of water in a place where there is no water. This technique can be useful for summoning sharks and such onto the field due to them needing water. The water can only be used to converge around the target to drown them in the newly condensed water. To defend against it, simply uses a earth technique to prevent the converging water from reaching you. Perhaps a wall, or if the water surrounds a summon, lower the ground to drain the water.

(Suiton: Suichuu Teigen no Jutsu) – Water Release: Underwater Motion Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: This Technique allows the user to properl themselves through a body of water by using their chakra. While underwater, this technique will also partially mask the users prescence.
Note: Must be a large water source such as a lake to use.

Pretty self-explanatory if I was to say. This technique simply allows you to propel yourself underwater. It works by manipulating the water chakra that you surround your body with with the surround water to move the water around you and push you forward. Can't be used to go back. It is used as an alternative to swimming if you ever have to go underwater, allowing you to come from beneath your opponent's feet on the waters surface. The technique has no true offensive purpose other than setting up follow up attacks more precisely. If you're opponent is underwater, simple, just send some lightning into the water. Basic way to counter.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it when I need to use jutsus that allow you to move underwater undetected. or maybe use it when I want to defend against a large scale fire jutsu. I think using it as a defensive counter measure while attacking with it like maybe using clones can also be a wide option. Also it can be used defensivelyto defend against physical attacks like kunais, shuriken, katon jutsu etc. I could also use this to block incoming taijutsu that are low ranked.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it in a way that first I would have to trap my opponent in the water. First I could wrap my water whip around their body or neck and drag them to the ground and channel raiton through it so as to paralyze them. Then I could finish them off by creating this body of water to drown them.

how you can defend against the tech:
For an offensive ability it has no brute force capability or cutting ability. As such to kill someone you need your opponent to stay in the water for an extended period of time to drown. And as you said, it can't be used in rocky terrain for any purposes because the opponent there would just have an easy way out. Thus using a jutsu that has either cutting or brute force capabilities can be quite useful here because it can counter this jutsu which lacks both.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
The technique is very useful to the way I see it, but the number of seals is a deterrent to it thus cannot be used if you have slow speed of forming seals. But nonetheless this technique pretty is useful especially to people who like to torture people to death.

how you would perform the technique in battle:
What a dangerous jutsu, the risks of using it... anyway i would use it just after I have used the above jutsu.. which I believe also carries a large volume of water. The big splashy water jutsu used can act as a cover for me to mask my presence underwater. Teh way I see to use this jutsu offensively is to use it to move and maybe a weapon to inflict the finishing blow.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it offensively by first trying to trap my enemy in a body of water and then use this technique to increase my momentum to kill them with a sword or a projectile because I think with your range increased by means of weapons like swords and spears the chances of success are also increased. It can also be used as a way to temporarily retreat from the opponent to gain some safe ground.

how you can defend against the tech:
The way to counter this jutsu is to first understand its disadvantages like that to be able to use it is highly situational and most terrains don't have a large body of water to fully enjoy this in. It also can be easily spotted by a byakugan, rinnegan, or sharingan user. However just because they can see you doesn't mean they can kill you on the spot as you move much faster. but the other problem is that if you are close to the surface of the water a C rank jutsu can hit you. So using a C rank and above lightning jutsu would do the trick, or maybe use earth jutsus that come from your mouth to create earth walls so you can move away from the surface of the water.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Quite an interesting jutsu, it has all the risks and gains when one is engaging in combat thus brings about the thrills and joy of being in battle. Also sensei.. sorry for my late reply :(

(Suiton: Suihachi) – Water Release: Hand of waves
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: the user will produce a fairly powerful jet of water from the user's hand.

You punch and focus water chakra in your arm, you release the chakra and water comes out. Best used in a close range situation. It requires no hand seals and can be used to strengthen what may seem like a normal punch to do decent physical damage. To defend against it, just prevent your opponent from getting into close as that'll make it so you won't even have to worry about it. If it is used, if far enough, create a wall. If close, then use a technique that hardens your body so the jet won't have any effect. Or use a similar technique that releases a burst of chakra like Hurricane Fist to take it head on and cancel it while allowing you to go in closer for another strike.

(Suiton: Suishi no Jutsu) – Water Drowning Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After waving the Boar β†’ Dog β†’ Horse β†’ Tiger hand seals, the user will gather a large amount of water to form a large spiraling stream of water. It can be guided to strike a target in a number of angles.
Note: Requires a nearby water source.

The tech uses 3 hand seals and requires a water source. The user sends their water chakra into a nearby source of water to manipulate the existing water and manipulate its shape and movement. The use simply turns it into a spiraling stream, or essentially a column of water that can spread and attack from wide angles. This jutsu should be used primarily when the opponent is close to the water source than you to take advantage of their surroundings, and should be used to attack from a wide array of locations. This'll result in them having to defend a larger region giving you extra time to follow up with a second attack. To defend against it, just destroy the column itself with a wind blast.

Hand of waves
Well I dunno about getting closer after using that hurricane fist, you see shouldn't there be a burst or a shock wave that is created after the jutsus both clash?

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it when mainly my objective is to stop someone from engaging me in taijutsu or kenjutsu by using the jutsu to push that person backwards or to knock the person off balance. Also i can use it to get my opponent wet so that when my opponent is hit with a lightning jutsu, he gets electrocuted due to the presence of water on his body.
how you will use the technique offensively:
Pretty much what I described above but in addition I would use it offensively by to first surprise and knock my opponent off balance and then follow up with a much larger and devastating attack that could inflict much greater damage. The attack would normally be easier to dodge or counter but since they would be knocked off balance they would not be able to easily counter it

how you can defend against the tech:
I would counter it by releasing a stream of fire to hit the water, causing a smoke screen to rise which also gives me an opening to attack the user of the jutsu. Also a gust of wind with the same rank should suffice, a gust that posses blunt force and able to push back the enemy like gale palm. Another option would be to use what sensei said.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Yup *_* quite useful indeed and interesting since this jutsu pretty much boosts the user's taijutsu damage capabilities.. No one would say no to this jutsu.

Water Drowning Technique

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it when I am in a ideal location or a terrain that has the minimum requirements to use this jutsu. For exapmle since it requires a water source I could create the jutsu from existing water or use the water from the previous water jutsu I have used. Mostly after the water jutsus that summon a lot of volume of water.

Also as what the description says it can be used at almost any angle and can be controlled through shape manipulation. With it you can chain other attacks before using this and then while your opponent is distracted by those other attacks use this jutsu to come up from behind, from above or their sides and smash them with the blunt force of this attack. Given the spiraling motion of it the damage from this would be quite great.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would first distract my opponent and try to blind them and take away their sense of hearing somehow. Like maybe crating explosions that would hinder him from hearing the formation of this jutsu. Whilst I'll be taking advantage of the nature of water that its the most versatile and quiet element out of the five. But then when I try and take his hearing sense via explosions taking the vison as awell is also important which I think using the explosions will make the opponent to get distracted thus giving me the chance to get into their blind spot and stealthily attack from behind. Without hearing and seeing they won't be able to hear the water form from behind and be taken completely by surprise allowing for a direct hit.

how you can defend against the tech:
Well going out of range of the jutsu is a good move to do. But to make things more fun I would not use the wind jutsu as sensei but rather I would use a doton jutsu that will increase the land level between me and my opponent. Also I can use a low level earth jutsu called world shaking and distract my opponent so that they would miss hitting me with the jutsu.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Quite an interesting jutsu, but using jutsus like this is not my style. I prefer jutsus that would instantly kill my prey. Rather than this one which is like some form of torture.

Water more or less absorbs impacts in this RP. Though water will drench the nearby surroundings, the won't be as explosive of a collision as you think.

(Suiton: Daibakuryuu) - Water Release: Great Exploding Current
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: User creates a whirlpool that sucks any opponent in range underwater.
Note: Must be performed on a water source

No hand seals but does requires a water source. A simple technique, the user sends their chakra into the water beneath the opponent and causes the water to rotate creating a whirlpool. Just use the technique when the opponent is on water as a distraction, or to follow up with water techs like shark frenzy to attack the opponent while he is trapped in the whirlpool. To defend against it, just escape before the whirlpool becomes too strong. Any technique that can lift you in the air, water or wind can be used.

(Suiton: Kokuun) - Water Style: Black Clouds
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description:After performing the Ram β†’ Snake β†’ Tiger hand seals the user creates a flammable black mist that forms a small cloud. The user can then move the cloud above their target and disperse it, covering the target in flammable oil.

It uses 3 hand seals and involves actually sending your chakra into the sky and changing its properties to oil. This techs makes it rain oil on a certain part of the terrain that you make clouds above. To attack the opponent immediately follow up with a fire attack to make the oil explode. To guard just send a wind blast at the clouds that is strong enough to separate the clouds and prevent them from reforming. Or just wash the oil away with a water jutsu and make sure none of the oil touches you so that it doesn't explode later.

I see, the water stops the explosion huh... makes sense. Then they should really allow us to dive into water when we see an imminent explosion about to occur

Water Release: Great Exploding Current

how you would perform the technique in battle:
First this jutsu can only be done after I have a water clone on the field. Once I have one, I would disperse it to form a small puddle of water, then manipulate this water since it still contains my chakra. By using shape manipulation, shaping four pointed projectiles from this puddle and shoot them at your opponent would be possible. Completo a nice sneaky attack. Well I thought a clone would be necessary since you need to follow up with other jutsu since its merely a distraction.

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use it offensively by that at the begin of a battle I create it, forcing my opponent to use a doton to escape. I would then follow up with a raiton to try to paralyze them and cause them to fall back into the water. At this point I could follow up with another raiton as they are on the water or I could use the whirlpool again in an attempt to suck them to the bottom of the water source and inflict some pretty painful damage. Although I think all this would be possible if I had a clone in tow with me especially not the water clone but rather a shadow clone.

how you can defend against the tech:
As my sensei says using a jutsu that would make me airborne would do but also maybe making the water disappear might work. I mean something like burning the water completely using a fire jutsu or use a doton justu that would make a lot of stones to fall on the water which will disrupt the flow of water leading to user losing control of it and also decrease the amount of water present due to the fact that some will be eaten up by the rocks.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
I see a very useful technique indeed, I like the fact that it can be useful when using it a s a distraction. I think another to make it useful is to make a unison raid maybe l use two clones and make them use the jutsu both of them meaning twice the damage right. It would be a B rank jutsu too.

Water Style: Black Clouds

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I certainly do love doing combination moves. The oil is excellent for conjunction with fire. It's rare to see fire and water releases used together but in this case seems like I can. Basically since it is oil it won't wash off easily so only things like foam can really wash it off. This jutsu also requires no water source so it can be used independent of terrain. And since you can materialize the cloud over their head it makes it difficult to dodge. One would need to block the incoming katon instead on focusing on the clouds, although user must be warry of strong wind currents.

how you will use the technique offensively:
To use this offensively I will want to first blind my opponent to prevent them from noticing the black cloud. So using a wide range jutsu that changes the terain like hidden mist justu can work her and then creating the clouds. Then while they are blinded I will disperse it and cover them in oil. Before they have time to react though I will use certain earth jutsus that block people like an earth wall so they cannot evade it easily. Then I will release a katon to ignite the oil and inflict massive damage to them.

how you can defend against the tech:
Well use a wind jutsu that would blow away the clouds before they even touch me. I think that's all I'lll do since I don't think there are any weaknesses of this jutsu besides that you must use it without the opponent seeing it.. which may happen that they might or not avoid it.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Well it is useful its like some sort of gasoline jutsu.. which I think its unrealistic for rain to drop down oil. The mechanics it works under confuse me. But nonetheless its a great jutsu.

You can if you use that Underwater movement technique that's B-rank I guess. But just doing it without a tech would be considering free form avoidance and would break the rules.

(Suiton: Takitsubo) - Water Release: Waterfall Basin
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar β†’ Dog β†’ Ram the user creates a waterfall by developing spring water in a place without water veins and manipulating the resulting water current to form a wave. This is a very convenient technique as it can be used for training or relaxation. On the other hand, because it changes the environment on a large scale, it also has the effect of hiding one's location from the enemy by confusing them. The width of the water source, waterfall, and basin can be expended, as long as the user continues to send chakra in.

This technique does only one thing so I will keep it short. It requires 3 hand seals. This technique just summons a large amount of flowing water. This can be used in conjunction with another water technique that uses a water source, to counter a fire technique, or merely to alter the terrain for strategic use. To defend against it, an earth wall to stop the flow, or changing the landscape of the earth to drain the water somewhere else.

(Suiton: Mizu Tsurudan) - Water Release: Water Tendril Bullets
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate one of their water clones to dissolve back to water and turn into four pointed projectiles that shoot at the target.
Note: Must create a water clone before hand.

This is only useful if you have a water clone. You release the chakra in your water clone to cause it to revert back into water then refocus your water chakra to shape the water into 4 kunai-like projectiles. Then you launch the projectiles at your opponent. It is great offensively if your opponent is fighting with your clone at close range and you wish to catch him by surprise and turn your water clone into a suicide attacker. To defend against a projectiles, earth wall or wind blast to knock and disperse the water.

Okay thanks for the confirmation sensei *_*. I should have expected much from the head sensei. Seriously being your student is an honor for me.

Water Release: Waterfall Basin

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it in conjunction with other jutsu like for example if I want to use a technique that requires a water source but rather powerful water jutsu. I believe using it to hide my location is also a good idea especially to sharingan users who would just see my chakra all over the place.. but well byakugan.. you know the story. As you said it can be created in a crater to form a pond, or flat on the ground to create a shallow river. It is important to remember the terrain of the battlefield and your location on it so you can fully take advantage of the water source. Well although I think the opponent might do the same and take advantage to that water. But then sensei are you able to do another element while you have this jutsu active on the field?

how you will use the technique offensively:
To use it offensively I would combine it with a Doton to create a basin like Yamato did, in the surface of the battlefield. I think creating a hole in the surface and then use this technique to fill it with water would be a great idea but that interms of range it limts you. So I would make a clone in advance if I wanna do it that way. But other than that this technique can be a great offense like when you create a water dragon out from it.

how you can defend against the tech:
Its that this jutsu vastly depends on the terrain you are in so if you are in a desert forget about using this jutsu because I think the water would just seep down and get absorbed by the desert. Also using an earth wall like sensei said to maybe put it in a hole would suffice but then again that might work to your advantage if what you wanted was just to get the water in a closed contained surface.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
A pretty useful jutsu. it forms the basics of most jutsus and can be a great help if you are in an environment that doesn't suit you to do jutsus you wanna do so gladly I give it a pass.

Water Release: Water Tendril Bullets

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would perform it in battle I would want to engage the opponent with it as a distraction. I would ensure that I utilized most of the chakra in the clone before engaging with this technique. Then I could use it to temporarily damage my opponent's vision and use a much larger scale attack from a different angle taking them by full force and surprise. Well I am saying this keeping in mind of the possibilities of my clone getting annihilates in close combat which is why I am saying I would spend a great amount of chakra on it.

how you will use the technique offensively:
Well pretty much what sensei said but to add further more to it I would use the means of throwing kunais, paper bombs, flash bombs etc. to distract the opponent so that I would get into close range with them. with that when I reach close combat I would also use weapons against him so that the opponent would also use their own because seems like people do that a lot in the manga. Doing that would give my opponent much more chances of him to quickly strike me using their weapons thus using the jutsu whilst they are unable to weave any hands signs because of them holding a weapon.

how you can defend against the tech:
I think sensei's strategy to harden yourself with a doton jutsu would be helpful here especially if you were in a situation similar to one above. Also if I know that is a clone the best option would to not let it get to close range to me, by means of using a wall or perhaps a gust of blunt wind.. well sharp wind cat cut it here too . But I think the best thing would be to just fry the damn clone with a powerful fire jutsu. Yes I seem to target the clone too much hear.. but then again its not my fault since its the core of this jutsu.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
I don't like this justu because of the use of a clone but.. looking at good points of this technique is that it will allow you to transform the clone anywhere as long as it is within short range of you. This makes for a great combination attack and distraction attack.

Not at the same time the technique is performed. But in the RP, after you use the technique and release the wave, the technique basically ended. You no longer have any control over it. From that point on you can do anything. So that means you can perform a technique before the wave hits its target if the technique is appropriately fast enough and makes sense for the situation.

(Suiton: Mizu Yashiken no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will first strike their target with couple of punches and kicks them lifting the target into the air and the user will then concentrate their chakra into their palm and then swinging their arm in a arc they release chakra creating a cresent blade of water that strike the target.

This is used in conjunction with taijutsu and only is useful in close range. This jutsu first requires you to punch your opponent so they have the opportunity to block your punches and render the whole technique useless. But if you can punch them into the air you focus you water chakra in your hand then swipe at the opponent releasing it in a crescent shape. This is a good technique to follow up with a solid hit in close range or a technique to maybe punch through a small fire blast. Easiest way to defend is to block the initial punch and stop the technique from ever happening.

Good explanation as always sensei but I think I phrased my question wrong this time. I was taking into consideration the point that you constantly send chakra so that you can keep the wave up and running. So naturally that time the element your chakra is converting to is water. So is it possible to use other elements besides water while you have this technique in use? Because normal shinobi can manipulate one element at a time.

Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique

how you would perform the technique in battle:
To begin use of it in battle I would want to position myself to engage my opponent in close range. I could use a large scale attack to distract my opponent from my approach, such as raigeki or Water Bullet so that they can get distracted while I close in the range between us. Once I'm safely in short range of my opp I could engage in free-form taijutsu to allow myself to use this technique. I could also use a clone in conjunction with it and knock him up in the air and use this jutsu twice. Once from the clone and once from myself. Then possible the jutsu would be executed.

how you will use the technique offensively:
To use it offensively I think using in in conjunction with taijutsu skills and decent free from would be the way to go. Also using it after I have successfully landed a lightning attack to my opp would do. Simply put I was in the air and used this lightning jutsu and then after I punched my paralyzed opponent and then kick them upwards and then finish him with the jutsu.

how you can defend against the tech:
Yes avoiding close range combat... you know sensei I think I say this too much lately.. seems like most c ranked water jutsus are close ranged. Anyway blocking those punches too would work by means of guarding them of simple parrying them. Also using the kunais or smoke or flash bombs to obstruct the vision of the enemy can also help to avoid this.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Quite a useful technique but I would rather use it on a less experienced RP'er than me since that would help me in my chances of winning.

Taking into consideration the fact that we are both human and mistakes do happen sometimes *_* I'll just discuss the following technique which should be:

( Suiton: Mizu Hashira Suiryoku no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then they create water to rise up from the ground beneath the target lifting them into the air.

Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust

how you would perform the technique in battle:
I would use it as defence while combining with wind stream technique in such a way that i would use the water to push myself up then use the wind stream to push myself sideways in order to evade an attack. I would also use it as an attack combined with the lightning fang jutsu in such a way that i would use the jutsu to launch the target upwards then strike him down with lightning fangs jutsu which will hit the target faster since the target is closer to the sky. Oh wait.. on second thought using it in conjunction with the water palm blade technique would be a good thing although I'm not sure but I think an airborne opponent the palm blade justu might be usable after this jutsu.. not sure though... but if not I would stick to my first

how you will use the technique offensively:
I would use this as a way to disrupt my enemy's position. I would summon the pillar beneath them and throw them up into the air. Immediately after to follow up I would channel raiton chakra into the ground or into the pillar to electrocute them and paralyze them. Also using it like before but then follow up with another technique like a wind cutting jutsu, at this point the number of combinations one can use after using this jutsu are too many to mention all of them.

how you can defend against the tech:
Well defending against this technique I think the best way is to make yourself heavier so that it wont launch you in the air. So by means of using an earth jutsu that does that like making an earth armor around me to increase my weight. Anyway another way to counter this jutsu is that when opponent has already used it on you creating a blunt force wind that will either push you up even more to avoid the later combinations; or push the opponent away from you disabling them from continuing with their attack. I am not sure but this last one sensei correct me if I'm wrong.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Woa this one is pretty amazing since this technique requires no hand seals or bodies of water it is a quick ability that is useful in taijutsu combinations. Naturally I have fallen in love with it... its a great jutsu because somehow it seems impossible to avoid.

xD I dun' goofed. The first one is the technique you already did, you explained it pretty well, so ask questions if you must but you skip it on your next reply. In use, no. In use for that technique counts as when you are still summoning move water and when you are controlling the wave. After you finish with those two things, you can use any technique you want.

This technique requires a water source and is mainly used a distraction. The user of the technique sends their chakra into a water source and manipulates the water to travel beneath the targets feet then suddenly burst up lifting the target up into the air. Once they are in the air, they are much more open to attacks as they do not have the freedom to defend in all the ways they normally could while they were on the ground. If this jutsu is used on you then all your would have to do is just prevent the water from getting beneath you or you can simply take the hit and get lifted into the air and use a wind technique to move in the air to escape your opponents follow up attacks and use your opponents technique against them.

( Suiton: Haretsu sui Yashi ) - Water Release: Water Bursting Palm
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After making the ram hand seal the user generates water around their right arm and then by thrusting their arm forwards they release the water in the form of a projectile bullet that drives through the opponent pushing them back several feet.

This technique is exactly the same as (Suiton: Mizu Yashiken no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique. You simply focus water chakra in your arm after doing the one hand seal and then punch forward shaping the water into a bullet. It's short range like the jutsu I just mentioned. Very much the same uses. I'd like you to actually state the ways to use the technique offensively and defensively to see how much you picked up from the training.

( Suiton: SeisuiryΕ« ) - Water Release: Azure Water Stream
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a moving body of water beneath him that travels towards the opponent carrying the user. They then slash the opponent with their sword multiple times.

This technique is made for movement. Though it says that it is offensive, it is more of a supplementary attack. The jutsu requires the user to release large amounts of water chakra from their feet constantly. The water chakra pushes the ground as the user uses their chakra manipulation in their feet to stand on top of the water as it pushes upward. The user constantly keep pushing out the water from their legs to move in one direction. It doesn't let them go backward suddenly or make sharp turns, its more fluid movement. To defend against it, just use earth spikes or lower the earth beneath them. No real attacking uses for this jutsu though.

Okay thanks sensei. Then how about one last question regarding that jutsu you missed to post. Is it an eligable counter to say that you counter by saying you increase your wait via using an earth armor technique? I am confused because I think the time frame wouldn't be enough to say you actually wear an armor as the water pushes you up. But then since there is this weight jutsu Ohnoki uses with that one it should be possible.

Water Bursting Palm

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Well using this technique in battle I think as sensei said it can be used offensively and defensively but I think I will be stingy on the offensive part here so that I can leave a cooler reply on the following tab of the template. So going on using it in battle, pretty much using it to defend against technique like the multiple shadow shurikens. This is because of the nature of this jutsu that is difference between it and the Palm Blade jutsu.

I think this one is a blunt force attack that cannot cut through things but rather pushes them light a gust of wind. I believe if you were to perform this one you would push your palm forward like you are doing gentle fist and pushing the water forward. If you were doing the water palm blade I think swinging the arm vertically while also positioning your palm vertically would be used. So these properties of it really aid the user when is defending from most free form attacks like paper tags bombs, kenjutsu and taijutsu attacks. Also fire jutsus like the flower phoenix jutsu that uses shurikens to increase its attacks so this jutsu pretty much defends the user from most projectile attacks.

how you will use the technique offensively:
Well about using it offensively I think using it after a cool showdown of taijutsu skills and some priceless free-form to distract my opponent, then I would use this to knock down my opponent. Simply because this technique requires no hand seals or bodies of water it is a quick ability that is useful in taijutsu combinations. If you release the bullet in close range then the opponent will have a difficult time reacting to it and creating a proper counter. So also it is quite only usable only on short range so another way to take advantage of this is to throw this blunt force of water into the opponent's head, meaning choking them and irritating their eyes because that is what happens when water hits at your face with you still breathing and unaware of water coming to your face. I believe doing this would give you an opening to land more fatal attacks. Simple one and quick would be to stab the opponent with a katana.

how you can defend against the tech:
Sensei, on this part on your explanation you were pretty stingy :p. Well let me see what I can say since you said its basically the same as the water palm blade. So using a sharp wind attack or a single slash from a katana would be best to use to counter this jutsu. I would probably use the katan slash because even if its a jutsu it should be faster to be performed compared to a wind jutsu. Creating an earth barrier or creating several pillars on the ground around the opponent's feet to shake off their aim causing them to miss would be also usable.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Well pretty good jutsu to use when defending against minor scale jutsus. I would use it in a real fight in the RP.

Azure Water Stream

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Erm...to be able to use this jutsu in battle I would want to blind them somehow first. Maybe trying to put them under a genjutsu spell and there after quickly travel via the technique towards them and slash them. Trying to use a jutsu that would bind or momentarily negate their ability to move, like a raiton jutsu. When they are in this state then I would go and try to attack. But just for my safety I would prefer for my water cone to use it. Looking at how I can use it defensively I see no way of doing that accept the fact that offense is the greatest defense.

how you will use the technique offensively:
Using it offensively I would use it when I am ontop of a water source also beofre using it I would use a distratcion like a hidden mist justu, smoke bombs or use the clash of two water jutsus espcially a clash of water and fire. Then use this technique to quickly get into short range of my opponent and use the extra momentum to slash at them inflicting increased damage. Well using a kenjutsu jutsu is also an option.

how you can defend against the tech:
Using the obvious disadvantage to this jutsu that is; it brings you in close range with the enemy and you are very obvious using this if you are charging directly at them it will make you an easy target. So using those earth spikes and lower the level of water. But other than that I think using the water against them would be much more fun. I mean I create a wave of water that would disrupt their flow in the water and make them to get maimed by the pressure of the water would make a great tombstone for my opponent.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
It is an interesting jutsu that has a lot of risks and if executed perfectly it has its rewards. Although I would never use it. Its too risky for me.

Though you can't use it yet, (unless you can lol) Hardening technique is the best response to any water technique that summons water under you or around you out of nowhere. Because the earth is created from your body and requires no seals, it can be used anywhere at anytime (don't use it while on a water source thought, then you'll sink). The same thing I said about the Water Prison tech counter applies to the other water techniques somewhat similar to that one. This one follows the same principles. Use Hardening technique, the water can do anything to you, continue using it to attack your opponent. With one tech you defended and can attack. It gives you a slight advantage even if just for the moment. You can also just end Hardening tech after you defend and use another technique. The water your opponent summoned doesn't have chakra in it so you can even use that as a water source.

( Suiton: Nagareru no Muchi ) - Water Release: Flowing Whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user first kneads chakra in their mouth and then, placing their hand on their mouth expels water in the form of a whip which they use to lash their opponent, sending them flying backwards.

The technique involves focusing water chakra in your stomach then moving it to your mouth. Once the water chakra is in your mouth, the carefully manipulate the water chakra and condense and extended it to form a whip. Expel the whip out of your mouth and it can be used to physically attack your opponent. The only real use of this jutsu is if you are fighting hand to hand with your opponent in close range and you need a quick sneaky way to attack him you can use this jutsu. It requires no hand seals so it can catch the opponent by surprise. To defend against it simply get out of range or use a defend that channels chakra to your arms to simply swipe the water whip as it comes toward you and the impact will cause the whip to lose its stability and fall back down into water.

( Suiton: Shawā ) - Water Release: Showers
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user condenses water vapour in the air above them to generate multiple projectiles of water which shoot at their target with a great amount of force and speed. The user can also shoot a barrage of small water projectiles directly from the swing of their hand.

Send your water charka into the air about you and use it to the collect the natural vapor in the air. Condense the vapor and shape it into several projectiles such as water kunai then launch the water kunai at the opponent. Way to use this technique is to focus the chakra directly into your hand and condense the water around you hand and launch the water kuani from there. This technique requires no hand seals so it is useful to attack your opponent in close range by swiping your hand and releasing a barrage of water kunai. It can be used to catch the off guard to go in close for more attack or go back and follow up with a bigger attack. A earth wall, wind blast, or fire blast of stronger strength can all easily block it.

Thanks Crutch that clears up every doubts I had about that jutsu. Especially that last part it just gave me new cool ideas about defending against water techniques.

Water Release: Flowing Whip

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Well going about to perform this one in battle not much can be said about it. I believe this jutsu requires no need of creating diversions. Its a simple jutsu that one can perform just when they have an opponent in close range. Also taking to advantage of that this technique requires no hand seals so it could be performed fairly quickly. So it can be used to defend against jutsus like Gaara's sand bullets which is quite a hassle to deal with. Also using it as a counter measure after I've just parried an attack from my opponent. That small time when we are pushed back by some sort of explosion. Using it to recoil from some three branch and land an attack on my opponent. So basically this jutsu I think its possible to use to maneuver around yourself. More like the water whip jutsu.

how you will use the technique offensively:
When I am about to use it offensively I would take a completely different turn. Using it as a bait to lure my enemy into close range or enter his close range by using a distraction. With this I could inflict some pretty severe painful damage with a direct hit. Well I think this the extent I can use it.. pretty much the same way as a whip. But well a whip that only lands one whip lol. Another thing to notice from this jutsu is that it has an advantage over the regular water whip because it can be formed without hand seals and the whip is materialized in the mouth, not in the hand. Which gives you two free hands to use for free form taijutsu and other free form attacks. So Taking advantage of that I can follow up with a raiton jutsu afterwards.

how you can defend against the tech:
When defending against this technique I think using its nature when one is using it like the fact that it in order to attack there is that time when you drag back the water whip a little so that you would generate enough force for the whip to have a whipping effect. I believe using that instance can help one counter it by quickly discharging raiton chakra to the opponent to cause them to get electrocuted. Or just send a violent gust of blunt wind, preferably a cutting with that would cut off the opponent's arm.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Pretty useful technique but the previous water whip outshines this one due to their range and the fact that the other one has more volume of water. So if I had to pick which to use on the two I would choose the previous water whip.

Question: Is it possible to create a water whip that would have a torque effect. Meaning water that would attack the opponent like a rotating whip that would put a drilling attack? Like this one below. Or is it an entirely another jutsu?
You must be registered for see images

Water Release: Showers

how you would perform the technique in battle:
Another projectile water jutsu *_*. Well simply put instead of normal kunais this one can replace them really good. In a situation where its impossible to reach your ninja pouch at your back and take out the kunais or shurikens. Perhaps molding chakra and use nature manipulation to create water chakra which is combined with shape manipulation to form those shurikens can really indeed be much faster. Well although I believe this technique does no fatal blows in, I think using it to just hinder your opponent would suffice. Like for example use a mist jutsu and then from the above of the opponent use the jutsu and rain it down to them.

how you will use the technique offensively:
Using it offensively.. erm...I think the mist idea would work too but wont do good if opponent goes underground. Anyway I would use it so that I can throw my target off balance from a different angle. With this I could attack them while getting into close range. This can be really ideal for opponents which are more specialized on long range jutsus. So using this jutsu as a distraction I would be forcing my opponent to leave an opening for me to use a short range deadly attack with.

how you can defend against the tech:
I would rather depend on the earth wall to fend off the jutsu. But if we were on top of water I would use a wind jutsu to blow them away or just a water wall to cancel out the water. Also using a katon jutsu would be a success.

whether or not you find the technique useful or interesting:
Pretty decent jutsu but I have some problems with the terrains thingy.

Question: Looking at the jutsu that it requires water vapour I believe its not something that is common in all terrains. Take a desert for example I think there is no way to use this jutsu. So is it possible for me to say I create Hidden Mist jutsu and then be able to use this jutsu?

Um... that might be a different tech completely. Scorps said he's working on adding some more canons, so just check the list when he adds it. Desert contains around 20 percent water vapor. The projectiles are not massive, so I think you're safe using it regardless of location. Unless it's somewhere where both fighters agree there is no water vapor.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar β†’ Dog β†’ Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.
Note: No water source required.

The technique is simple. It requires 3 hand seals and works by focusing water chakra to the palm on the intended hand. The water is released from the palm and the chakra is materialized into liquid water. As soon as the water is released, the user will use their chakra that is infused with the water to rotate the water to created a spiraling torrent-like wall. The user keep releasing more water to push the spiraling wall out toward their target. This technique can be used to either knock the opponent back combined with a palm thrust in close range (only if you're a water specialist thought) to increase the strength of your physical attacks. You can use it to defend against equal rank and one rank strong fire techniques. To guard using an earth wall will work well or using a wind blast to knock the water away is also efficient.

(Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu) - Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing a long series of hand seals Ox β†’ Monkey β†’ Hare β†’ Rat β†’ Boar β†’ Bird β†’ Ox β†’ Horse β†’ Bird β†’ Rat β†’ Tiger β†’ Dog β†’ Tiger β†’ Snake β†’ Ox β†’ Ram β†’ Snake β†’ Boar β†’ Ram β†’ Rat β†’ Yang Water β†’ Monkey β†’ Bird β†’ Dragon β†’ Bird β†’ Ox β†’ Horse β†’ Ram β†’ Tiger β†’ Snake β†’ Rat β†’ Monkey β†’ Hare β†’ Boar β†’ Dragon β†’ Ram β†’ Rat β†’ Ox β†’ Monkey β†’ Bird β†’ Yang Water β†’ Rat β†’ Boar β†’ Bird the user then shapes a large amount of water into a giant, powerful dragon, which hits the opponent with formidable might, dealing physical damage. The ideal place to use it is near a body of water, but if the user's skill allows it, it is possible to use it even in a place where there is none. The amount of water used will be in proportion with the user's skill. Tobirama was able to use this technique with a single hand seal showing testiment to his skill in water ninjutsu.
Note: Requires a water source to use.

Unless you are a water specialist, this technique is useless. I am not so I do not use it. Obviously because of the number of hand seals it requires. It can easily be prevent by your opponent is will turn out to be a waste of a technique. If you are a water specialist and can do the technique with one hand seals then it is pretty decent. It simply creates a moving body of water that is shaped like a dragon. This technique does require a water source unless you are Tobimaru which is probably the only way you can use it without a water source. To defend against the technique a larger scale earth wall would work or you can lower the earth to drain the water as well, or a large wind blast as well.
