(Genjutsu: Saru no Sobaeru) Illusion Technique: Prankster Monkey

Description: The user preforms 1 handseal, casting a genjutsu that affects the opponents' brain, making him loose control over his own techniques, by exaggerating on the proportions of said technique. For example, if the person goes to spit a fireball, the stream that is spat is bigger than usual, burning the face and anything near it. Or when the person runs electricity through his the body, loss of control makes it short-circuit and shock the body. Or when the user encases him/herself in earth, the earth constricts around the body, harming and preventing breathing. This does not serve to augment the damage of the technique, if the opponent manages to fulfill the technique, it just makes it backfire. This genjutsu doesn't work on every technique nor on every situation, the user must balance the usage of this technique with situations where increasing the technique would make it backfire. Only one jutsu is affected by the technique, the following ones will not be.
*The genjutsu will only affect people from the same rank and bellow. Sharingan users or other Genjutsu specialists will be able to affect one rank above*


Okay, pretty simple technique. This was created with the idea of fine balance in mind. Most jutsus deal with a balance between creating a technique to harm someone, while protecting ourselves. We spit fire, we run electricity through our body, we encase ourselves in earth armor, we push our body to the near limit. What this jutsu does is give a gentle push, tricking the opponent into spending a bit more chakra that needed (passively, with no actual cost drawback), so as to surpass the innate defense mechanism that balances said technique. And the slight increase has an exponential result, since, past the breaking point, all hell breaks loose.

See it with the most obvious usage, a spat Fireball. It keeps a thin thread of fire which grows bigger away from mouth. What you do is increase the inital output, so it is bigger and grows sooner than normal. It will burn the opponent's hand/mouth, which in turn causes him to loose control, which in turn disrupts the fireball so the fire is let loose near the user. In a single handseal and very little time, you have both injured your opponent and prevented a attack.

Which techniques don't work with Prankster Monkey?

Techniques that require some kind of environmental manipulation and basically anything that isn't coming or isn't in contact with the opponent or his near vicinity.

Can this be performed before an actual technique and act as a dormant genjutsu? I suppose that this way it would be able to backfire projectiles and techniques that don't require constant focus from the opponent. However, I believe it can also be cast after the initiation from the opponent to backfire streams and techniques that require constant focus. Am I right?

Yes, the most sure way is to use it as you see someone inhaling/spitting, but it can be dormant. The thing is, if people see they're in a jutsu with those characteristics, they won't use affected techniques. Which can be used to your advantage, as you sort of predict what's going to happen.

Description: Flash-taunt is a close combat, sound based genjutsu. It's special because of its characteristic to be triggered rather quickly, while in close, hand to hand combat. To trigger the genjutsu, the user will focus an amount of sound chakra into his bladed weapon or his limbs and engage into a fight. The moment his weapon or limbs collide with his opponent's, they would release the usual sound (clash of metal weapons or a dull thump of limbs) with infused sound chakra, causing the soundwave to spread and trick the opponent into a genjutsu where the user flashes from his previous position, appearing right behind the opponent, with a sharp kunai pointed at his neck, aiming at his spine. In the illusion the user stabs his kunai in the opponents neck, causing pain and slight momentary loss of limb function. Off course the illusion is momentary and it will happen at the speed a ninja would be otherwise able to perform the same movement in reality. However, because it masks the users real presence, its exceedingly useful to deliver severe blows unnoticed.

Ok, now this one is cool. When you fight someone in close combat you use advantage of all the dull thumps when your limbs collide. Same goes for weapon and metal on metal clashes. You amplify that sound to place an illusion onto the opponent where you flash from your previous location behind the opponent. There he feels the cold of the kunai and you stab it into his spine which makes him lose limb function and limit his movements in reality. Regarding yourself in reality, your presence is masked and you're still in front of the opponent, left to deal the finishing blows.

Yep, exactly the one jutsu I want to learn xD. Extremely useful, quite unrestricted and not that costly. It's not too strong, but it is very powerful.

Description: The user does a string of 4 handseals, creating a huge reservoir of a sticky substance (Similair to Water Style: Syrup Capture Field) underground. With one handseal, the user can erupt localized geiser-like streams around the opponent, which will then rain the substance upon the target. In case that doesn't work, the user can, by stomping on the ground, seep out the remaining underground syrup, sticking the opponent's foot to the ground.
In case the opponent decides to go underground to avoid the geysers he will come into contact with the substance underground and be stuck there, making him an easy target. The substance will short-circuit electricity, so if he tries using Nagashi to free himself he is dead.
*Can only be used thrice per match*

One thing I forgot to say. Scorps editted that one a bit when checking so if it strays from my original idea and someone complains, he's to blame, lol. However, there shouldn't be anything questionable about the technique.

So, 4 handseals which means it's quite time consuming but rather rewarding for what it offers. After the seals there is a reservoir created below the ground surface. The reservoir is up to long range(?) in diameter(??) and contains a very sticky substance. With an additional handseal, the user can erupt the substance depending on his will, in order to contain the opponent and restrict his movements by sticking him to the ground. However, there's another way for the technique to work and that is done by stomping the ground. What I love the most is the prevention from escaping underground which quite a lot of inexperienced people rely on, not knowing it's their doom.

See it as Swamp of the Underworld, but without any visible changes above ground (until you let the geysers loose). You can stretch it as far as long range, encompassing even a Boss summoning (or three, like when Naruto fought Pein).

That's awesome. I have something similar called subterranean waters, but it creates only small sources. Originally made to explode the built up francium. :D However, this will work too, on a much larger scale. ^^ I think that's it for now. :D
