actually he can see your shadow just like everyone can with normal eyes, its a shadow
if you look at the anime shadow techniques become darker when used in jutsu

so seven what is ninjutsu?

ninjutsu is considered to be the main weapon in every ninja's repertoir. It can be used to create clones or, if done with elementl chakra, create affinty ninjutsu. But normally ninjutsu consumes basic chakra. Most commonly it's used offensively, show in ninja arts or hiden jutsus. But it canbe used defensively, like in famous substitution jutsu.
