After molding the two energies, spiritual and physical, together... I begin to wonder exactly how I'm suppose to make the lightning cover my whole body. Sure, I know how to release it from my hand, but my whole body was a different story. As I feel the vibrations throughout my chakra, I can't help but notice how the vibrations are stronger in my hand. Most likely because I've concentrated it there so many times. Shutting my eyes, I try to force the static throughout my whole body. I picture as if lightning is crawling throughout my veins and blood, zapping here and there. As the vibrations grow more rapid, I try my hardest to try and release the chakra. As it seems to not be working, I grow a bit angered. As I grow tense, I can feel my heart rate quicken. With every quickened beat, I feel the vibrations grow stronger. Finally, feeling the tingling zaps throughout my chakra, all it took was one full, final zap. Then the vibrations released and expanded out from my arms, legs and everything. With the lightning surrounding me, I felt somewhat confined, but also protected. As the lightning is buzzing and twitching around, I stood within the zaps.

I think this is, like, an amazing technique. O-O' although, is it able to defend against attacks that are higher ranked? Doesn't the attack have to be lower ranked or equal?

By the way, sorry if that was an awkward performance. When I'm tired, I tend to do things weirdly xP

It follows the strengths and weaknesses just as any other technique, meaning that a D rank wind will cancel it while it could protect you even against a B rank earth technique. But of course, it wouldn't make sense if a huge earth technique collapses upon you. Technically yes, it is stronger in ranks, but you also have to think about size as well. It's not all so black and white.

Descripton: By forming hand seals Snake → Upside down Tiger → Hands clapped together when near a cliff , the user causes stone and rock to become dislodged and rain down on anyone below it by releasing a wave of electrical energy which weakens the rock and makes it fall as it crumbles. However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.

Stop slacking! Perform the handseals, shows handseals, and create an avalanche by releasing bolts of electricity to dislodge them. It's fairly simple, however, there is one problem. This has to be performed on a hill so that you can actually achieve the avalanche effect. So for that, I'll create a slope for you, if you can't do it yourself. As you can see, besides the obvious usage, I don't think there lies much more to it. It's pretty terrain specific and it doesn't give you any wiggle room around it.

Chihaya nods, understanding her sensei. Using her small hands, she forms the snake and upside down tiger handseals quickly. Then she claps her hands together. A wave of electrical energy travels through the rocks and weakens them immensely. The cliff Chihaya and her sensei are on trembles a bit as the rocks being to dislodge and tumble down the hill away from them. The earth balls rain down hill and crash into other pieces of earth, taking them down with it.

The weaknesses of this technique would obviously be that it's very location dependent. No cliff/hill? Can't perform it. Also, the positioning must be wise or else you're going to destroy teammates/useful terrain/yourself/etc. I can see a lot of weaknesses in this ability. However, I also see a lot of strengths! Such as, it would be pretty darn hard for the enemy to dodge tumbling rocks coming at them. I find this technique actually very powerful. I would use this in battle as an offensive (could be used as defensive too, like if you wanted to get away), but I'd use it as an offensive attack and leave my opponent having to use a powerful ability to avoid getting crushed to death.

Description: The user will channel their lightning chakra into their sword to increase its cutting capabilities, and then levitate it in front of them. They will then multiply the sword creating two extra physical copies which are then all manipulated to spin rapidly and are controlled to fly towards and cut through the opponent/s through hand gestures. While controlling the weapons, the user cannot mold chakra for other techniques and needs to keep focus.

Chihaya holds her hand out in front of her as if it is a sword. To her surprise, after manipulating the static chakra inside of her, her arm radiates with a glowing of light yellow. Then abruptly, but on her command, bolts of lightning go shooting outward, in which hit nearby trees, causing the leaves to panic.

The advantages/strengths of this is that it can be done rather quickly and with a swift motion of holding your hand outwards. Also, it can hit multiples of enemies and can be hard to dodge of the horns spread in different directions. Two weakness of this attack is that it potentially can be easily avoided as it is just one arm with lightning. I would use this to attack my enemy if they were coming at me or if I were coming at them. Could be used either way I think.



Chihaya holds her sword out in front of her. She stares at it with confidence. If metal could be intimidated, this sword would of shook with fear. As her chakra manipulates inside of her she channels it into her sword. The sword multiples and begins spinning rapidly. Chihaya controls them as they fly forward, spinning and spinning. Her hand signals them to stay straight and the sharp blades pierce the air and eventually stab into a tree.


Strengths of this move is that the user doesn't have to do anything but control the swords and attempt to slice the enemy. Also, it keeps you at a distance, leaving you potentially safe. Two swords would seem a little complicated to dodge, but maybe with some wind technique or earth or something it could be easy to push back the swords.. so that's a weakness. Also because you cannot mold your chakra while you focus on controlling the swords, that is a disadvantage too. I would use this to send two swords towards my enemy and attack them as I stayed back.

Description: The user will manipulate their lightning chakra in their dominant hand generating electrical bolts of lightning around their forearm. The user will then slam their palm onto the ground causing the electrical energy to become discharged sending out bolts of lightning into the ground and around them up to 5 meters.

Chihaya's lightning chakra tickles her from under her skin as she calls it forth. She holds out her right hand, giving it a good squeeze before lightning bolts began to dance around her fingers all the way to her forearm. With as much force as her little arm could produce, she slams her palm to the ground. The lightning travels through the ground and all around her.

The strengths of this move would be the easy, quick access to the technique. There are no handseals required or anything. So it can be performed instantaneously. A weakness would be that 5 meters isn't much to be honest. I would use this in battle to offensively send out discharged lightning to attack my enemy by slamming my hand on the ground.

Chihaya's ten fingers curve together to form the Ox seal. Her chakra rampages inside her and she releases it all by holding out their hands. A rather amazing wall forms in front of her and Chihaya watches in awe as the lightning twitches and pops. A couple bugs and an unfortunate bird collide with the wall, in which they become fried and fall to their death.

The strengths of this wall are that the enemy who attempts close range will be shocked. And also certain projectiles will be rendered useless, or earth techniques too. Also it only takes one handseal. The weakness of this would be that the user must wait for the wall to go down before using certain techniques too. That's why I don't particularly like defending things with walls. Haha. Idk.

Chihaya's chakra flows through her veins and is manipulated into a half dome. She holds her hands out as it is created and shoves it forward. It amazes her and paralyzes a couple birds in the process.

I really like this technique. The strengths would be that it is a bit moveable, so it's not a stiff wall-like dome defense. You could push it towards your opponent. Also, no handseals. Weaknesses would be that it it's not a full dome, so backward attacks could hit the caster or above attacks. Things like that.

Chihaya's fist becomes surrounded in lightning. The lightning is a sphere around her fist and as she punches a tree trunk, an electrical explosion happens. It surprises Chihaya.

The strengths of this technique is that there is no handseals and that it goes well with tai. The weakness is that this is limited to short range o.o

Chihaya holds her hand high in the sky and generates her lightning chakra to her hand. She makes a dark cloud appear in which sends down direct lightning bolts where she orders them.

The strengths of this tech would be that the user can choose where the strikes hit. Also there's no handseals. Also no delay. Also really fast. The weaknesses of this tech is that it seems easy to avoid as it comes from above and the user can see them coming.

Description: After the user performs the Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals, he releases his lightning chakra into the ground, using it to forcefully shape the earth into 4 big pillars (proportionate to the target area) around the target. Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.

Description: After doing the Rabbit → Dog → Boar → Ram → Rat hand seals, the user generates a large amount of lightning from their hands, which can then be either released in an unfocused manner or passed through conductive materials to improve the electrical power of the technique, namely in conjunction with Water Techniques. In fact, certain users have showed that its possible to, if the user has the ability to mold both Water and Lightning chakras at the same time (for example, Darui who has Storm Release), unleash this particular technique at the same time as they exhale/spit some water technique (which needs to consist of a stream of water), combining both in a seemingly consecutive move. Other ninjas will need to use a clone or an ally for the same effect.

 

[Chihaya]

Chihaya forms a barrage of hand seals, before releasing her lightning chakra into the moist ground. In a location just in front of her, four pillars of electricity begin to form and emerge from the ground. The lightning bolt go insane and would with out a doubt roast anyone inside the parts.

The strengths of this technique would be that it traps the user from all sides. This limits the opponent to escape upwards. And then you can easily send an attack from above to insure a possible hit. Also, the lightning barrage seems very poerrful and empowers what would be normal pillars. Also, paralysing the opponent is always useful. Weaknesses of this technique is that there are quite a few handseals in which give your opponent a heads up that they need to get ready. Also, I feel that an omni-directional wind tech could easily destroy this tech.

Chihaya forms a bundle of handseals after creating a clone who stands next to her. Chihaya then releases an intense amountt of lightning in which is accompanied into the stream of water her clone sends out, empowering the lightning.

Strengths of this technique is that the amount of lightning is large. Also that it can be used inconjunction with a water technique to improve its ability. I personally don't like combining techniques though. Is this the type of technique that can break a genjutsu? Weaknesses of this technique is that the hand seals are once again vast. Also, it's a very forward technique, giving the opponent a lot of options to dodge it.

A strength for both of these techniques is that they're both short-long ranged.

"The next techniques you'll be learning are Lightning Release: Lightning Burial—otherwise known as Banquet of Lightning—, Lightning Release: Lightning Rod, and Lightning Release: Tornado Lightning." Saizō then proceeded to explain to what each jutsu was and how to perform it.

"First tech utilizes an electric current that splits into multiple tendrils to attack their target. The user must simply bring their hands together while charging their lightning chakra in that section before slamming her hands on the ground releasing the currents.

Next one. User just lifts their hands in the air and charge lightning chakra. Afterwards, they'll aim towards a target and unleash the energy they stored in the form of a lighting bolt.

Last one is quite simple, but still nice. You essentially create a rope of lightning with your shape manipulation. You can then grab and capture a target while electrocuting them."

Saizō then pointed to some nearby dummies that he would create. "After using each technique, I would like you to state your own personal opinions on the technique, as well as possible strengths and weakness. Hypothetical situations in which you could use the technique is also recommended from me."
