Stop with the selective reading. Rasengan and Chidori are equal in power, which is why they always matched. Chidori never penetrated Rasengan, & Rasengan never demolished Chidori. By your logic, since Rasengan is stronger, it would. But rather than acknowledge how Rasengan never overcame Chidori, you only acknowledge how Chidori never overcame Rasengan.

Of course Konohomaru cant beat Sasukes Chidori cuz he used Rasengan only one or two times. Nothing proves that Konohomarus Rasengan cant be stronger than pre Rikuduo Sasukes Chidori if he used him more.

Just becuz when they clash and they cancel each other out doesn't mean they are equal. Someone gave a sword and axe example I'll give another example. If a grenade and bullet come to collision with each other they're gonna cancel out but does that mean they are equal ? No. Naruto is about raw power and Sasuke is about finessement.

Obv there's a difference the grenade is more powerful. Rasengan is more destructive like a grenade while a Chidori is like a bullet it pierce. This is really a no brainer since the manga already portrayed the difference in the two techniques via the water tanks they are meant for different things.

I agree to a certain extent. The rasengan is definitely a more destructive jutsu than chidori. Reason being is that they are both meant to be used differently. Chidori is a swift assasin-type jutsu that is meant to pierce while the rasengan, like you explained, is similar to like an explosion or burst of chakra in a spiral form. That explains why when Naruto and sasuke crashed into those water tanks, sasukes tank was just crunched from within while Narutos was exploded completely from the back. However as both characters began to develope and evolve their techniques I think they eventually became equal in strength when clashing together, they essentially countered each other's strengths. Sasuke eventually added his curse mark power, then Amaterasu to his chidori, while Naruto could do larger rasengans, and add the tailed beasts chakra as well as wind nature to his rasengan. As seen in the multiple clashes they both had where they just got bounced back from the clash or an explosion just happened). So to conclude, yes Narutos rasengan is definitely more destructive than sasukes chidori but I think when clashed together they essentially cancel each other out becoming even.
